The hotel was conveniently close to highways, beaches, and downtown Saco There were restaurants and other businesses within walking distance Our room was quiet, immaculately clean and the beds were very comfortable! Check-in was quick and the clerk was very polite and helpful

We look forward to staying here again when we come to Saco to visit family!

I didn’t really feel comfortable/ safe t not saying the location is a bad place but you never know what could happen the door swing like to the outside and not the inside and there’s only one lock on the door and it’s not like a heavy duty door either the window where cheap anyone could just pop it Just sketchy overall then they should update their locks at least maybe the locks on the windows

Cozy rooms, amazing location, resa is amazing and the included breakfast is an absolute must Perfect for families or solo/couples This is old-school B&B, warm walls and creaky floors with fascinating guests and wonderful weathered beach-house vibe

My middle child took his first steps here and my youngest started speaking while here Just a great place and we’ll keep coming back

Danny Walter

What an excellent stay for our whole family! You can’t beat the location, the view and the amenities! I grew up coming to Ocean Park every summer as a kid but it’s been over 10 years since I’ve been back When it was time to take my own family, we found the Nautilus to be both affordable, convenient and practical for our 5 night stay We were lucky enough to get the Penthouse which was absolutely amazing with its sweeping views of Camp Ellis, Ocean Park and Old Orchard Beach

They even had a crib for our toddler Resa was a fabulous host and made delicious breakfast every morning as well as helped out with anything you needed Will definitely be back again!

Kara Marino

We LOVED our stay here at the Nautilus! My boyfriend grew up going to Ocean Park and every summer for about 15 years We wanted to take a trip and stay near the beach We were literally on the beach

The house was built in the 1890s and it is beautiful! It does have updates to it since then but you don’t lose a bit of the charmWe stayed in the old inn keepers room on the main floor, and it had its own bathroom Our room had a window AC unit and it’s own mini fridge as well as a ceiling fan I do think it needs more outlets but we just used one in the bathroom They provide you with bath towels, fresh beach towels everyday, washcloths, face towels and bath matsResa is the manager their and was absolutely wonderful She cooked delicious breakfasts and is available if you need anything One day we had avocado toast, scrambled eggs, fresh baked blueberry buckle, blueberry corn muffins, and chocolate oatmeal protein cookies Various breads, bagels, and English muffins are available as well as butter, peanut butter, and jelly There is always coffee, tea, and water and ice on handIn addition to breakfast the house has a whole closet FULL of board games and activities to play if you find yourself inside for an afternoon storm There is plenty of common areas to hang out and do a puzzle or play a game The house also has plenty of beach items for you to use including beach chairs, umbrellas, footballs, volleyballs, sand toys, bikes, helmets, and various other thingsYou do need to park on the street, but there was ample parking and you don’t really have to move your car that often because there is so much within walking distance Overall I couldn’t speak highly enough about our stay Consider us new regulars

She-Ra Power

The two stars were for the accommodations Could tell they have made some improvements The room was spacious, the bed was comfy, and it was very quiet

The reason it is not 4 or 5 is the rude staff The check in process was, frankly, awful The person checking me in was rude and seemed bothered that I was there First, my reservation “couldn’t be found” Showed her the email to receive a rude “Well, that doesn’t mean anything to me” Then, she “found” it I would stay again if I didn’t have to deal with her

Jay Joyner

The rooms and accomodations were nice, a little dated for the price you pay per night though The walls are paper thin, so you hear the people in the next room AC units are old, so don’t expect them to work

The microwaves are 850W, so plan to eat out They ONLY Have NIGHTLY rates (I was told this multiple times by a very rude lady at the desk) This place does not have weekly rates or extended stay rooms

Ann Young

We stayed here in July 2021 and enjoyed a wonderful experience all around Our room was simple but spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed Motel staff were incredibly accommodating and gave us some terrific recommendations for nearby dining and activity options

The best part? THE TROLLEY stops right at the motel!!! For a couple dollars each, we hopped on and enjoyed a beautiful day at the beach and bars – no traffic, no parking fees, no hassle If you’re looking for a safe, clean, friendly motel that won’t break the bank, this place is a gem

I was told by the biller that it was a first floor room When I got there, of course it was a second floor Really nice for my back that I broke

Also great for my wife who had a severe stroke Got up this morning and there was a coffee maker with no pot Not anywhere! I paid $11700 for the room and was completely dissatisfied They should get their act together They’ve lost my business, and I’ll never recommend them to a soul

susan hillsgrove

We came in late and I honestly thought about going back out to sleep in my car! Our 2 rooms smelled so bad! Huge stains on sheets, stains on comforter, burns in blankets! Doorframes were black with handprints! Carpet was frayed and old, mirrors weren’t clean, hair on supposedly clean towels and in shower Smoke residue from cigarette smoke on everything Shower looked like it had never been cleaned

No extras at all (pillows, blankets ect) towels were all mismatched and threadbare, wouldn’t even fit around the tiny teenagers! Do yourself a favor and pay the extra to NOT stay here! Run away as fast as you can! I assumed it was backed by the chain Choicehotels but obviously they’ve never stopped in! So bad!

We loved our weekend getaway at Exit 5motel!!!Sunny (owner/manger) was very kind, accommodating to our needs, always checking if we need anything (as he drove by in his golf cart) The pool looked lovely (we did not use as my son was scared of the water, lol) There’s a playground with swings, slides, push/ride on cars, a picnic table

The location is great, just a short ride to the beach pier, and food shopping at Hannaford is just down the street! Our 2 bedroom cottage had a kitchen w/dinning room table, full bathroom and living room with TV The whole cottage was quite large! And outside was wonderful! My son enjoyed playing in the large grass area around the cottageEvery one of the guests there were just so friendly and kind, always saying hi to usWe had a charcoal grill to cook on, and our own picnic table on our patio to eat dinner outside too! Parking was great too!We are definitely coming back here for our next weekend getaway later this summer!!!

Do not reserve anything here! We came on Memorial Day weekend and show up soon after 8 pm to check in after a long day at the beach I get there and nobody in the office and nobody answers multiple phone calls I finally track the middle Easten owner down and he tells that since I did not check in at 3:00 pm my reservation is automatically cancelled! I had my two sleeping young sons in my truck and this guy absolutely refused to give me my reserved room and turned me away with them in tears because they had to go home a day early!!!!! He then starts telling me I did something wrong by showing up to a motel at 8 pm to check demanding we leave and threatens me physically when I express my disgust about the way I was treated! Needless to say he’s very lucky I had my young men with me and had to watch the example I set for them! Avoid this Indian owned property at all costs, there are much nicer and less expensive place to stay all around town

James Chase

Everyone’s biggest complaint is that they showed up after check in time and to their surprise they forfeited their room I have been staying here for work and have used multiple different booking site, each site has clearly stated that check in time in 3-7pm The first week I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to make leaving work and coming in during check in hours work, I called and he offered to try to come up with a resolution with me

The room has been clean each time The wifi is lacking and unfortunately the cell service in the area is spotty If that’s a make or break for you then I can understand not staying here However, the room feels nicer than what you are paying for when looking at the market rate in the area You are paying for a cheaper option for your stay if you choose here Don’t expect luxury but I am very happy with the room at its price point

Weather Tracking With Max

Very nice campground! Lots of activities for kids, a nice, clean pool The pool was completely clear when I last went in, but sometimes underwater it’s harder to see The splash pad is really fun, especially for my baby brother

Very friendly people in the campground, and a nice and organized store We have a seasonal here, and come up every weekend It’s worth the money! Also, for anyone going downtown, you can pay $1 a person for the trolley It comes every half hour, and has a stuffed bear for kids to sit next to

Jason Reynolds

This is an old school OOB ‘city’ style campground, and we’ve stayed at a few over the years You’ll get to know your neighbor because you don’t have a choice as it’s tight in there They won’t bother you if you let loose a bit

I didn’t see much regard for the 5mph speed limit, but I did crawl through with my breaks constantly applied as I do through every campground much to the consternation of those wanting to be somewhere else more quickly We camped with several other families with older (non-teen) kids and really had a blast Pool(s) are on point Great horse-shoe pits The majority of the sites are seasonal and people have some amazing set-ups which look like many seasons in the making Everyone was welcoming My only ding was the beer selection in the store – add at least one craft brew to satisfy the beer snobs! We’ll be back for another weekend in the future

Sambucus Canadensis

Pool was beautiful and grandkids had a blast on the splashpad Was a decent experience until we tried to leave our “pull-through” site Some person parked his truck right in the middle of the exit drive from the path

We had to maneuver our 32 foot trailer out an alternate way asking people to move their cars so we could get out Took almost a half hour to get out Admittedly it was Labor Day weekend, but the lack of parking for the sites pushes parked cars out on the road so it only takes one inconsiderate person to to block you inThe experience during the week when it was less crowded was pretty good The park is very heavily weighted towards seasonal sitesOther than how tight it is, everything else was fine But having a big truck and a large trailer we won’t be back One of the people who had to move their vehicle to allow us to get out agreed that it is way too tight and they were not going to return either, for the same reasonBottom line, i you have a smaller trailer and/or are very experienced in tight maneuvering, I would recommend Otherwise, no

First and foremost, the 2 women at the front desk were PHENOMENAL I seriously hope their boss recognizes them and their worth They made everything quick and painless, very friendly and on top of things

I needed a few things throughout my stay and it was never an issue and they addressed it quickly I myself, am a General Manager and employees like them are hard to come by There were a few dislikes; the parking lot is gated off so if your coming from the interstate, you will have to leave back out onto the interstate HOWEVER, I’m sure their is good cause to this as I could see people using it as a “cut-through” The outside premises had a lot of trash but the grounds people were cleaning it and this is no fault of theirs; unfortunately the hotel guests have no respect We did utilize the outside pool It was clean, their was very little debris from the trees, nothing unusual as it’s an outdoor pool Our room was clean and everything functioned properly The only downfall was that their was strands of dog hair that we found every now and again during our stay This was not a bother to us as we understand it’s not easy to clean up every single strand of dog hair as we are animal lovers ourselves My family and I would definitely stay here again Thank you to the staff for your exceptional service and making our vacation very pleasant

MaryAnn Lentini

Looked ok from the front except for the fact the front driveway was blocked off and check in was an interesting mix of clientele The elevator smelled and we got off on the third floor Looked like the hallway carpet hadn’t been vacuumed in over a week, full of stains, the room had broken lamp shades, bathroom had hairs on the floor and so did the beds

They were depressed in the middle from wear The chair was dirty, discolored and worn We requested a cot which was sent up promptly but it was quite uncomfortable The plus was the flooring looked newerBreakfast was pretty sad, only waffle maker for warm option, oatmeal packets, no fresh fruit Yogurt and packaged bakery items and some English muffins Staff was standing around in the morning vs my other stay at hotels had staff cleaning and actually working It might be difficult to get good help these days but my advice, pass this place and move on, especially what we were charged for a week end rate It needs a total overhaul

Matthew conlon

The out side of this hotel is disgusting, with trash, multiple large piles of brush not to mention the gates that block off the parking lot so you can’t even get to the front of the building Hall ways had not been vacuumed in a very long time with piles of debris outside each room from when the sweep the rooms out into the hall ways They say they do not offer house keeping for my 2 night stay as well to the person in front of me that was here for 5 nights

Holes in walls in the rooms as well as “stains” on every wallJust not a place I would ever stay agin for the price Should be a $100 a night hotel and you would expect any more then they offer
