Rooms were super clean!! Loved that!! Right across the street from broadway at the beach and down the street from the Hollywood wax museum and helicopter rides Restaurant was great, chicken wings on point! There are renovations going on outside but no biggie, the inside of hotel was exceptionally clean which I appreciated, however I did see a small brown bug in the bathroom one morning, immediately killed it, and was on the lookout the rest of the trip (hence the 4 star rating) front desk staff was extremely nice and helpful Outdoor pool was great and clean as well

Would definitely stay here again, hopefully we won’t see any bugs during our next stay!

Jordan Mitchell

Here for a wedding weekend trip, so not a long stay This hotel was good but not great Exterior renovations going on and there’s no mention of this on the website or in an email when you book a stay

I’ll start with the good: rooms were very clean and spacious with a sofa couch Bathroom small but clean as well Definitely up to Marriott standards I wish the AC worked a bit better but overall, the room was greatTo the not-so-good: First is the price I should’ve just paid a little bit more & stayed oceanfront The on-site Starbucks tasted nothing like a regular Starbucks but charged the same price As a Marriott Bonvoy cardholder I stayed in NYC a week ago & they got me in a room at 8:30 am on my check in date Showed up here around 2pm & was told our room wasn’t ready yet Check in supposedly at 3 pm so not a huge deal, but stuff like that gets you 5 stars in my book It was a good place to stay for a couple of nights but I wouldn’t want to spend an actual vacation at this location

My hubby booked through Marriott Bonvoy for a 2night stay We were definitely surprised to see the renovations and limited parking I was not pleased with no mention of it so I asked to see the room first and glad I did! The rooms are not worth premium price, the elevator was broken, and the pool looked dirty and small

We quickly cancelled our reservation and found a much better ocean front Resort for roughly the same price! We did try to stay with Marriott but the manager said he was completely booked and didn’t even bother searching for another location Oh well there loss not mine

Gorgeous resort Not as fancy as you would expect, but really damn nice modern rooms We had an ocean view room

The view was amazing any time of the day Only slight issue for me was the loud music until around 11pm Still, with the door closed and the TV on the sound wasn’t an issue This is definitely worth the money With all the pools, access right to the beach definitely worth it

Stefanie Fuller

Super friendly staff The gentleman at the Cafe each morning was simply the best Also, we got ice cream one night just before close and the attendant there was awesome! You can tell they care about their product and service and take pride in what they do

from the cleaning folks to the front desk and service staff We will definitely be back!Guest access to the beach from the patio was a wonderful perk

Colin Martin

What an amazing resort! Staff was so friendly and helpful There is something to do for the whole family We have 3 small children and we felt safe the whole trip

We will definitely be back in the near futurePS: Yes, you can smell weed while you are outside That has nothing to do with this resort That is every resort in Myrtle Beach

This Hampton Inn must have been an older hotel that was refurbished as a Hampton inn ( can tell by the styling) The lobby rooms are nicely decorated with the seacoast in mind There are several rooms that you can sit and relax along with outdoor seating protected by the sun

The room is clean and the view from the balcony is exquisiteMost of all is a shout out to all the folks working at this Hampton Inn Everyone is so friendly and I especially want to thank Kelli, the guest service manager, who overheard me saying that I miss the fruit salad at breakfast ( guess Hampton inn stopped that) and then arranged to have a plate of cut up fresh fruit for me Fruit that they didn’t have at breakfastWas that not nice? I was thrilled and so appreciate the extra effort Kelli and folks made to make my stay specialI would highly recommend this Hampton Inn for Myrtle Beach and if I come down again, will plan to stay hereSincerely,Cindy

Awesome clean hotel room Front desk staff was super friendly and nice I wish I researched that the hotel didn’t have a restaurant before I booked

The hotel shuttle is great and the drivers were awesome! However they only take you in a 3 mile radius I wish I knew restaurants were a bit further Definitely not a fault of the hotel! We ubered to Broadway at the beach and had a good experience there Airport was super close by I thought we could have walked to the Boardwalk but just didn’t feel “safe” Again the shuttle takes you there with no problems Overall a fun quick get away but not sure we will be back Breakfast was a great addition to our stay!!!!

Barbara Stump

Pros: Great location right on the beach with all rooms overlooking the ocean The view from the balcony was stunning This hotel is close to lots of things, including restaurants and shopping

Never felt like the beach area was crowded, even though the hotel was busy Free covered parking Loved that there were enough beds for all 5 of us and they were actually comfortable Full closets in bedrooms Bathroom had both a full tub and a stand-up shower The full kitchen and big table were nice The person who checked us in was very nice and helpful We got early check-in with no issuesCons: Lots of noise from people playing loud music at all hours of the day and night The pools were in constant use and looked pretty gross Room was kind of outdated with old fixtures, carpet, etc Long lines/waits at the elevator Breakfast was mostly the same every day – would have preferred more healthy options than just apples and bananas

Hotel was clean, comfy and nice The staff was very friendly We flew in late so having a restaurant and little market on site was a huge plus

The kids enjoyed both indoor and outdoor pools and hot tub Smaller size but not crowded Our only complaint, the pool needed to be cleaned a little more but didn’t bother our kids! We would stay again

So far so good I saw a previous post about the decorative curtains not closing Don’t be alarmed there’s black out curtains

Another post mentioned expensive snacks but I personally think the prices of the snacks are reasonable and customary It’s about convenience The location is great It’s near the beach, the mall, and too many food spots to count

Jay Baker

In town for the Myrtle Beach marathon and decided to give this place a try Location was good located right near the mall Not close to the strip or Broadway at The Beach but not far either which is what we liked

Away from all of the hustle and bustle and wild crowds Windy at the front dusk was exceptional and very welcoming! Our room was clean and spacious and we really enjoyed our stay

Great location: lots to do directly out the door of the lobby, and the oceanfront is only a few minutes drive Front desk staff were helpful and kind, not only to me, but I witnessed several situations with other guests and staff as well The lobby and guest areas are bright and clean

The hotel room was perfect; clean and comfortable We did not try the breakfast as we had other plans Key card access to the building at night, although I was concerned that there is no key card security on the elevator itself, meaning, anyone could just walk into the building from the bars & restaurants outside and easily get up into the hotel rooms area Overall, though, I would recommend this location

TraviSometimes <3

This is such a nice hotel Randy is one of the nicest front desk people I have ever met He made my friends and me feel very welcome

He was super helpful on the entertainment near my hotel While on my stay, Pat (manager) was able to help me add another room so my friends could bump with me Great hotel great people and a great time Thanks Hampton on Broadway ❤️

Jordan Pethtel

Friendliest front desk people I’ve encountered in many trips Pat, the guest services manager, was especially eager to do anything we could possibly ask We had a normal checkout time of 11 am and he kept our bags behind as we toured for the day since we had a late flight out

He also encouraged us to use the airport transportation on grounds which we did not know about ahead of time He has an eager attitude to help guests in any way and it was a delight any time he was working Everyone else was great as well but he stood out

I can’t even describe what a fabulous time my family and I had at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club We walked in and were pleasantly surprised at how large our three bedroom suite was The rooms were nicely sized and the bathrooms were great

One bathroom was handicapped accessible The kitchen was well stocked and I liked that there was a washer and dryer The view from our 8th floor room was amazing, and we could feel the breeze from the ocean The second floor featured a nice sized gym, a store, place to get free DVDs and more The indoor and outdoor pools were nice and they gave you towels to use The spa was wonderful and well heated The staff were constantly seen cleaning and disinfecting during our 4 day stayA few things could have been better, but not enough to take off any stars We were never asked if we needed more towels, one of our curtains wouldn’t open electronically, and some of the outlets didn’t work However, we can’t wait until our next stay!

Monica Sansi

Amazing clean resort with spacious rooms and great views We stayed at a 1 bedroom suite at 23rd floor and the view was to die for The pull out sofa bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever been on

The kitchen was well stocked The customer service and room service was quick Being at the beach directly is a bonus Plus the add on for outdoor activities included is money saving – includes the myrtle waves water park amd mini golf Highly recommend!

Kristin L

Hotel was very clean for the most part We did find someone’s left over personal items in the main bedroom nightstand and the kitchen cupboards and handles with sticky and gooey The unit is very spacious and has everything you need

The valet employees were so incredibly friendly and made coming back to hotel fun! Front desk staff was nice enough however not as helpful as other places we’ve stayed, very brief and almost stand offish at times A major complaint for us was the pool temps, not so much the outdoor but the covered outdoor was still cool for the season, to the point kids end up in the hot tub as to warm up I think a higher temp in April and cool seasons would be great as there is no indoor pool There could be less of a push in their time share presentations, with limited time visiting the area not everyone has time to go to one Although a few things we weren’t happy about it didn’t ruin our trip and we would recommend the hotel to people travelling in the area the views in the ocean front room were fantastic

We received a packaged deal to sit through a timeshare presentation It was very clean and roomy for our kids We are a family of 6 so room is always an issue for us

Extremely cozy and lots to do We hung out at the pools (water slide has a height limit and only open a few hours a day) on site and did a paint activity and that lady was so nice They have basketball courts with basketballs and volley ball and shuffle board I was under the impression this was beach front however it is not They have a shuttle that can take you to the beach where they have another pool but we never went It was just easier to go to public beach access The presentation was supposed to be an hour but lasted three They try to make you say yes Then I was told I would get money back and then they tried to give me points until I said something so they fixed it I would love to go back and stay there again Minus the presentation

Overall, my family and I really enjoyed this hotel and when we return to North Myrtle, we will book a reservation at this hotel again We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and dinner My only complaint is that the water pressure was very low in our room It would have been nice to have more water pressure when showering and washing our hands I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family

Oh my goodness, I cannot sing my praises of schooner high enough They were amazing We arrived late (10ish), but were still greeted with a smile

Fey up to our room (1103) and couldn’t have been more pleased, you could tell the cleaning is thorough, it smelled so fresh and not overly like chemicals Their elevators were amazing, I’m terrified of elevators but theirs moved so smoothly and quick it was like nothing! The view was fantastic and the balcony was as clean as the room The balcony also felt very safe and secure The room had everything you could need to cook a meal, including pyrex dishes, a blender, toaster, colander, and prep bowls The pool was on the small side, but it was perfect for my nervous little ones Every staff member was pleasant and seemed genuinely happy to be there All of the guests were encountered were also very nice They have covid protocols including plexiglass and limiting the elevator to one family The parking lot at the building is small, but the overflow parking is right across the street and is super convenient

Robin Frankowski

Upon checking in staff was very friendly Git to our room and it was so clean and sanitized you could smell it, didn’t have a worry about that at all Close enough to walk places and do things

Nice clean pool and beach area Would stay there again in off peak times Peak times you’d have to park your car once and leave it there being right on the strip will get crazy Over all had a great stay

Amber Greene Lail

Very friendly staff, Nick is great, he goes above and beyond The view is great as well The only complaint we really had were things were cramped, even in the two bedroom, but it was manageable, and that the outdoor hot tub was closed

But the latter was not Schooner’s fault, it was a combination of COVID restrictions and people not following simple directions We have stayed the past two years at Christmas time and several times in the summer and we have never had an issue!

The staff were all wonderful They were funny and kind The pools were all adequate and I enjoyed not having a long walk to the beach

A lot of the other hotels have a much farther walkWe stayed in 1605 and it was clean and had a beautiful viewMy only complaint is my air conditioning was out for 24 hours It was brutal They did offer another room, but it was well after 10pm, and getting us all into another room would have caused more stress than it was worth since we were leaving the next morning I do wish we would have received a discount on that night At $300+ a night, that really was unacceptable

Dirk Dempsey

Checking in the staff were very friendly and helpful by answering questions we had The condo we stayed in was cleaned and ready for our stay We really enjoyed our stay with the kitchen and bathrooms being really nice

Access to the pool and lounge area and walkway to the beach was very nice! The oceanfront view was hard to beat! Definitely recommend this resort over others around here Thank you everyone at the Grand Atlantic!

Kevin H

We stayed for a week in a one bedroom condo It was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly When we needed towels, we just called and it was delivered

Same with other items like soap and dishwasher detergent We had an issue with the dishwasher running, but maintenance quickly resolved it for us An in suite dishwasher and washer/dryer is a huge plus!! We are already thinking of our next trip Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This is an “older hotel” but very well maintained and run We found it to be extra clean, very comfortable and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed There is a beautiful outdoor’s pool, fitness room

Breakfast was not ample but sufficient and good The location is amazing for shopping or entertainment at Broadway at Boardwalk This hotel was priced very reasonable compared to the other nearby and newer hotels It had a 4 star rating with good reviews to even though it was older we took a chance and we were VERY GLAD we did! We’ll be back! Highly Recommend!

Gabriel Watkins

I don’t think I have ever experienced friendlier service I really wish I got the name of the guy at the front desk, he was amazing Dude just remembers your name, it really makes you feel welcomed

This hotel is great where it counts It’s clean, it’s comfy, and it has a great location Pool is very well kept We had an outlet that didn’t work, and the shower door let water leak onto the floor, but these are not issues that took away any joy from our trip Breakfast seemed good, but I don’t eat breakfast much, so I can’t really comment But my family enjoyed the offerings I highly recommend staying here if you vacation in Myrtle Beach 5 stars without hesitation Thanks for everything!

Girma Kumsa

We stayed at this hotel last year (2021), and we loved it then This year, not so much We had 3 rooms booked for 5 nights

The price was higher compared to last year; SPA pool was closed during our stay; front desk and other staff were not forthcoming to fulfill our request; the number one reason I am giving 2 star is the cleaning service I requested the rooms to be cleaned more than 2 times on different dates I was told that they needed 24hrs notification Which I’m okay with But, no one showed up to clean our rooms even after 24hrs notification No one told us about the cleaning procedure Had I knew that they don’t clean rooms any longer, I would have stayed at Airbnb and paid less for the rooms I like hotels because they clean rooms for you Location of the hotel is the reason I did not give 1 star Location is good

This place is AWESOME! Two pools and a lazy river, and they offer so many activities each day and the rooms are very nice The front desk is very kind and they offer a lot of discounts for shops and restaurants in the area They also offer park passes which we used to go to the state park and get to the beach! The bar by the pool is nice and they did trivia and karaoke there on Thursday! Lots of fun, definitely going back

The pool is quite nice with three different pools you have quite the variety Although both of the outdoor pools were freezing Although there are still hot tubs that still work

There are as a bar for the adults but they are quite expensive and they weren’t that good Otherwise the rooms were quite suitable and large As well as having tons of fun and neat activities for the kids if they get bored of the pools Although a decent amount of them do cost money to do The rooms come very clean and tidy and have a great view of the pond Some days you can even see the giant fish in the pond swimming just below the surface The ponds even have a few small peirs that you can fish off of They even have elevators to help get up to the second and third floors Overall great place to go for a break I would recommend this to families and people who want a break down near the beach Though it is a bit of a drive from the beach

Tonya Green

These were the most friendliest staff I’ve ever met They were courteous and gave us a few good laughs to welcome us on in That was appreciated after a long drive

The resort is beautiful and I love the waterfall and lake where you can go fishing Nice beach house and other than wishing there was a few more lights around the lake, it was perfect

There was something for everyone in my family The kids loved the indoor pool and water park area My husband said that the food he ordered from the restaurant was tasty

The beach access was great I appreciated the spacious rooms and the convenience of the fridge, microwave, dishwasher and mini stoveThe mini driveway for valet was always tight It was easier for us to park across the street at the parking garage

Friendly staff, large comfortable & clean room, great ocean view Elevators slow during peak of checkout & need to be synced more efficiently Water park a hit with kids

Rooms are not cleaned unless stay is 5+ days; have to request & pick-up clean towels @ desk I fully understand during covid, but if a guest requests a daily cleaning, especially if Honors member, the service should be provided A touch more of a deep cleaning & attention to details would have scored a 5

Homewood Suites was great, and we would stay there again The location and amenities could not be beat My husband and I and our 5 and 7 year old boys had a blast

2 water slides, a lazy river, 3 hot tubs and a pool made up the water park, and beach access was so close! The complimentary breakfast was delicious Our king suite was spacious and comfortable The only things I would change would be to add a dresser in the king bed part of the room (there were was one where our boys slept on the sleeper sofa, but not by our bed) and to put up shower doors instead of a curtain in the bathroom More places to hang swimsuits to dry would’ve been nice also Everything else was exceptional

Recently visited The Strand on an overnight trip to Myrtle BeachMy family and I had a blast The lobby was super clean and had every facility a person could ask for

In fact, with their hot tub, swimming pool, beach front location, work out facilities, and dining amenities, it would be pretty easy to have an enjoyable vacation without leaving the property The breakfast featured scrambled eggs, sausage, awesome home fries, and great biscuits and gravy I mean they were better than my grandmas (though I’d never tell her)Our room was spacious and balcony features seating and a table for long sits with ocean view We also appreciated the waterproof bracelet keys that allowed easy access to rooms and facilities without keeping track of key cardsWe arrived a little before our room was ready but were allowed to use the parking deck and pool while our room was prepared In the meantime, desk clerk James was professional and had such a cheerful and jovial energy that it felt more like interacting with an old friendWe had a slight problem with our room that hotel manager Chris Styles also fixed in record speed, leaving us beyond satisfied with our stayOn my next trip to Myrtle Beach, The Strand will most definitely be my first choice The accommodations, the amenities, and superb staff all give the hotel resort incredible value for the money

Great value for the price Rooms are clean and efficient, although bathrooms could use a little updating I have stayed at The Strand 3 times and breakfast is always nice compared to other hotels/resorts that I’ve visited

Although I wish there was an indoor pool, the outdoor pool is always clean and the hot tub is nice as well Overall, the staff are really friendly Front desk can be a little more welcoming but they aren’t rude so it’s not a big deal Last, but not least, the location is great as it’s only about a mile from Broadway at the Beach I would definitely stay there again

I had such a marvelous time The room was fantastic and the service was great I had a balcony on the beach front view

Oh my God to see the waves each morning and walk on the beach was such a beautiful experience They gave a restaurant in the lobby The burgers were awesome and the homemade potato chips were unbelievable delicious I can not remember the waitress or the cook’s name but they were so kind and friendly They made you feel do welcome and at home Thanks to you both for your kind hearts and delicious food And let me not forget the awesome breakfast Fantastic and filling

Absolutely amazing! Customer service was top notch Room was comfortable, very clean, spacious, and had a beautiful view with amazing wall sized windows Concierge, from desk associates, management, restaurant staff, and bartenders were all amazing

We felt very safe staying here as well due to how elevators and different floors are accessed Literally the only issue we had was that my husband’s side of the bed seemed to have something wrong with it 10/10 would recommend!

Don’t forget to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a room This site will compare countless booking web sites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is the best rated in the area

I’ve been staying here for a very long time If you stay for a few days you definitely won’t be disappointedOur room was clean and me and my husband enjoyed our stay at the hotel! Cameron was able to take really good care of us after learning we had such a bad experience at one of the oceanfront hotels We were treated to a wonderful breakfast So, we were very blessed to be able to stay there for the remainder of our honeymoon!

Requested an ocean view room and got one in the 9th floor The room was pretty nice with 2 queen beds for a family of 4 Loved their beds and shower head

Beds were so comfortable and soothing Shower had enough pressure to massage your back after a tiring day House keeping and service were excellent as well The mini fridge in the room was in poor condition It was usable but looked old and not so clean Corridors smelled funny; mostly cigars and flavored smokes Parking lot was little lonely Overall the place is good and lives up to the expectations Worth the money

We came with kids and I think this hotel is suited more for an older crowd There was not a whole bunch for our littles to do on property There were 7 of us total in a two bedroom suite and we all fit very well

The pull out couch was clean and comfortable, especially compared to other places we stayed Did not get housekeeping but were able to get fresh towels and linens as needed We loved the accessibility to the beach and the pool was just okay Very glad the hotel package came with a free water park pass for the whole family because it was well worth the trip! I do wish the front office staff was more personable Parking was not on property The parking garage is across from putt putt so you have to walk to get to your car unless you pay $20 a day for valet parking To self park you also have to pay but it is half the cost Otherwise, it was a nice stay We would stay at a more kid friendly location next time

I just returned from a week of vacation with my family at the HGVC Anderson Ocean Club in Myrtle Beach I had recently read reviews that made me a little worried about staying here I have stayed here in the past, and never had an issue

Some recent reviews online said that the property had gone down hill, and the rooms were outdated I had not been here in a few years so I wasn’t sure what to expect when we arrived However, the other Hilton resorts did not have availability so this was my only option I had an oceanfront, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom unit I do not have a single complaint with our unit! Our unit was very clean, and I am very picky about that when staying at hotels There were 7 of us, and we used the sleeper sofa in the living room It wasn’t horrible- not as comfortable as the beds, but I can’t say it was uncomfortable Our unit had updated fixtures, furniture, appliances, and nice bathrooms The decor was updated as well We had a large balcony with several chairs and side tables The 3 pools, and the lazy river are great for the kids The lazy river could move a little faster even for a lazy river, ha! The staff had activities by the pool for the kids daily Friday they did several dance contests, hula hoop contests, etc for the kids Two of my kids (ages 10 & 12) loved it!! We also loved the Italian Ice cart at the pool Beach access is right off the pool, and very easy to get to The only design flaw with this property is that you have to cross through where the cars pull in for loading/unloading, and valet parking to get to the pool and beach When you have small kids it can be stressful to make sure they don’t run out in front of cars since they are excited to get to the pool/beach My youngest is 10, and I was still yelling for him to look for cars when we would go to and from the pool If you have several small kids this is something to consider I was already aware of this as I have stayed here before, but if you have never stayed here before it might surprise you when you get there Overall, we loved our stay!

Planned the getaway about 2 weeks ago, found the Hilton to be in a great location, my room was clean, staff was very helpful when I needed something, elevators can get crowded and pools and hot tubs get crowded as well but the location on the beach and to amenities in the city is great Parking is across the street which isn’t too bad since it’s included Would recommend for a family
