The staff were amazing, including the very fast service to change out my TV remote when I called down to ask for assistance for my TV: within 2 minutes a service person arrived to assist I recommend room 1404 for the Central Park view We had two rooms, and they were quite large for NYC standards

The breakfast was great; the chef visited all the tables to make sure the diners were happy The door men were great hailing taxis for me The beds were super comfy, and there was no street noise emanating from outside Kudos to the reception staff and the concierge, they were super helpful! I will always stay at the Essex; New York City is back!!!

That was my first trip to NY and my first stay at this hotel What can I say – Iโ€™m in love with NY and I think mostly because of the hotel staff and the service Each and everyone who works there is incredibly amazing

It was such a pleasure to stay there The hospitality of the personnel is outstanding From the managers and chefs to servers and housekeeping staff I felt like I was back to Europe again but so much better (west coast is sooo different โ˜น๏ธ) The hotel building is beautiful, the food is delicious, the rooms are clean and the service is just perfect I couldโ€™ve literally spend the whole day describing every minute of my amazing experience at Pierre hotel I definitely would love to comeback soon Thank you guys!

Arianna Martignetti

Please note that I am writing this review solely in reference to the restaurant/bar – my friends had never been to NY before (they are from the west coast) and prior to walking around Central Park, we decided to grab a drink nearby We walked into The Pierre and immediately realized that we were out of place, definitely not dressed for the occasion, but the restaurant staff welcomed us with open arms as we asked to grab a drink at the bar We ended up staying for a few drinks because the bartender, Sergio, was so unbelievably pleasant

He was personable and humorous, and respectful of our space yet willing to engage in conversation whenever we wanted to chat with him Sergio and his drinks were a highlight of their trip! My partner and I live in Westchester and cannot wait to go visit with him again

Antonio Lopez

I want to say thank you to all of you at the restaurantMatthew, Sergio, Kenny and everyone on the team, excelent cousin and perfect care of the costumer’sI will be back for sure

And thank you so much for not to wear mask is so beautiful to see the smile and to be humans again God bless all youAntonio L

Ankit Gupta

The room was by far the largest I have stayed in NYC There were 2 queen beds but the view was of some office The front desk was incredibly courteous and helpful considering we had significant luggage

The hotel gym and pool are a mere disappointment It feels claustrophobic as they are in the basementThe room had a kitchenette so that was amazing since we could order food from outside and have it at the dining table The housekeeping was great too Although, they donโ€™t offer free water bottles after first dayThe breakfast was very average and overpriced so I would suggest to eat outsideThis is a good property but by no means a 5 star They are somewhere between 3-4 starsPro tip: There are a couple of open parking spots where you can park your car for free for at least an hourWill not visit them again

This hotel is a gem, the staff is so accommodating and nice, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous and clean, the most comfortable bed ever! The indoor pool is heated and super clean, they also have a fabulous Sauna! The hotel itself has a cute little bar and restaurant where they have amazing drinks and great food, the hotel isnโ€™t loud and is very classy with lots of art everywhere I came with my kids and it was great to go to a hotel that is so kid friendly and has a staff thatโ€™s so pleasant! Will make this an annual visit!

Ann Marie Ly

Really clean and beautiful hotel in NY Felt really cozy and spacious for our entire stay We were trying to stay near friends who lived nearby but feel like we would book this spot again regardless

There was a mixup with our reservation that was booked through a 3rd party but Rachel at the front desk cleared everything up and gave us the same room and made it a non issue which is great since I did not want to be on the phone with customer service on vacation! I called and spoke with Rachel after the vacation and figured out the issue and it was no problem getting the previous reservation refunded Amazing service and a really cozy stay Would love to come back here again!

The room is spacious and so is the bathroom Nice roomy shower space and has a bathtub too There is also a seating bench along the window

Even though the do not disturb sign was hung outside, the housekeeper still knocked on the door asking if more towels were neededOn the weekend, we could smell marijuana wafting from the bathroom’s vent at least 5 times during different hours of the day Complained to reception but they said they couldn’t find which room caused it

Irmina T-Mgy

Nice clean hotel in a great location Loved the little cafe downstairs for breakfast and drink but don’t expect service from the hotel The cafe was independently owned and do not offer room delivery

It can take a while to wait for the elevator since there are only 2 available and there are 37 floors Loved the fact that there’s free coffee and water for the guests on the 4th floor common area Our room also has a Nespresso machineOverall experience was great because we love the location and easy parking in the parking garage (independently owned) right next to the hotel

I read many of the bad reviews, and I’m sorry those folks had bad experiences at The William NYC My husband and I had anything but The service was wonderful — genuinely friendly, super-helpful, professional and efficient

The lobby and lounge areas are elegant, sumptuous and inviting The room was huge by New York standards and well-appointed with tasteful mid-century modern furnishings Amenities to note include excellent lighting design, ample built-in storage under a sleek banquette and floor-to-ceiling windows, a large well-lit closet, a full kitchenette and a large, luxurious bathroom Our favorite things about the place: Its thoughtful design and perfect location, central to everything and just two blocks from Grand Central Station We felt right at home immediately and loved using this hidden gem of a hotel as our basecamp during our two-night stay in the city Highly recommend it!

Hands down this is my new favorite hotel!Itโ€™s full of character & endless possibilitiesI stayed for my Birthday & was thrilled to take some cute pics Literally the perfect place for Photographers & content creators

The staff was friendly & informative, was thrilled I was able to drop my bags off before check in Itโ€™s beyond clean & neat, extremely spacious, comfy chairs, couches, ample lighting, enough closet space for two adults, I also love that thereโ€™s a curtain that separates the small kitchen area from the sleeping area The only thing I wasnโ€™t wild about was the half shower door, which unfortunately created a draft Besides that small thing, The William NYC is definitely worth booking!!

Christine Nolan

My new favorite hotel in New York City! This is a hidden gem The staff is warm and so accommodating! Itโ€™s in a beautiful quiet area near Bryant Park Each room is uniquely decorated

The ownerโ€™s wife is an artist and her artwork hangs on all the walls The Manager, Ronni is amazing! She goes above and beyond to ensure all the details are covered Upon arrival, I received a gift from the hotel – flip flops and was offered a bathrobe The first floor has a lovely speakeasy and in the evenings there are sometimes fancy private events My room was amazing- spacious, beautifully decorated, all smart setups – including an Alexa sound machine This hotel is a special find thatโ€™s not to be missed

This hotel is an exceptional experience I’ve stayed at many hotels in NYC and the Baccarat is outstanding in every way From the moment we walked in until the day we checked out we felt taken care of

The suites are very large, excellent bedding, great bathroom, and the Baccarat crystal is a fine touch throughout For a couple looking for an escape this hotel is a top notch option, but I would never stay here with my children Spa and pool are excellent While I didn’t use the gym, the facility looked great The one thing you need to be comfortable with is that this place is very expensive across the board Don’t come to the Baccarat thinking you can save a buck here or there, you’re going to have to be comfortable with paying premium prices but you will also receive a premium experience Totally worth it and I hope to find may way back there again

Kristen (Gypsy Monkey)

Personalized lush service at its finest No I wasnโ€™t lucky enough to stay here but enjoyed the bar immensely From the minute I approached the entrance of the hotel I knew this was going to be a great experience

Nice men in suits welcomed me with open arms and once inside I got the same treatment by the gentleman in the lobby He explained how to get where I was going without me having to ask When I got up to the salon /bar area I was blown away with a beautifully decorated interior Thereโ€™s also a lovely patio as well The bar staff is friendly and there is an extensive selection of alcohol choices I also appreciate that they have some very creative non alcoholic options offered All of the drinks present very enticingly Also served with nuts & olives on the side Just an fyi there is a bar food menu in the back after the drinks I was also told I could order off of the salon menu as well I could sit where and eat wherever They are about the customer being โ€œcomfortable and relaxedโ€ , Oh and before I forget they are very wheelchair accessible I noticed tables that looked to be a perfect height for someone in a wheelchair to be able to eat/drink easily Truly one of my best experiences in the city as of yet I look forward to coming to dine with you soon , Baccarat Many Thanks

I am looking for a nice hotel for my friends and I to stay at in a few months when we visit NYC for my birthday, and the good reviews encouraged me to call them to ask about their rates I have been trying to call them for three days now and no one picks up the phone I’m not sure what’s going on, but this is concerning given the level of service they are supposed to provide

At this point, I will be looking at other hotels

We just finished our stay here and it was awesome The rooms are charming and decorated in an old school European style The staff was pleasant and helpful

The snack room was a great amenity and we used it more than I thought we wouldWe were within a 10 minute walk of a lot of sites, which turned out to be great if we needed to come back and rest our feet for a minute The bar attached to the hotel is under construction but I can only imagine that once it’s done it will be another additional great feature of the hotel I would highly recommend staying here It is in the middle of everything but tucked away so you don’t actually feel like you are in the middle of everythingThe Italian restaurant across the street was good for an easy first night dinner as well

Hotel was clean Front desk staff was friendlyRoom was neat

Got a really nice city view Only concern was that even Hilton group is room service is facing supply issues I called the room service and asked for and additional coffee supplies which we can use to brew in the coffee machine provided in the room but strangely they said that they are running short of supplies and they canโ€™t provide anything Apart from that the hotel is really Good The restaurant in the basement of the hotel is fantastic Great taste and service

Excellent central location Rooms were clean The temperature in the rooms were too warm for us and unfortunately we could not turn it down

The beds were very comfortable The view was fantastic The lounge was comfortable, but needs more staff at breakfast I had to eat at an uncleared table The coffee machine did not work on one day also

Clauds V

I couldn’t have asked for a better hotel while I stayed in Manhattan The staff was very friendly and helpful The rooms were very modern and immaculate

I had a view from my bedroom of Times Square, which was the best part! I felt very safe because after-hours, you need your room key to enter the building and use the elevators There is a bar that serves food and drinks in the evening, and a fitness center Each morning the hotel offers complimentary water bottles and breakfast on the terrace Visitors can also sit and eat on the balcony overlooking the cityso lovely! They offered a variety of choices for breakfast and it was a great way to start off my morning I couldn’t have asked for a better experience I will definitely be returning to the West house hotel in the future

My wife, daughter, and I stayed for 4 nights Iโ€™m not sure itโ€™s a 5-star hotel Itโ€™s a boutique hotel, so generally more compact size in the lobby and dining area compared to a big true 5/star hotel

Staff was pretty friendly and helpful Room was semi-clean with general cleanliness, but furniture is old and could see crumbs in cracks of tables I believe the resident fee recently went from $30 to $50 We lucked out with booking still being $30 Not a bad deal if you use it for breakfast and light evening meal Plus all you can drink beer and wine Very convenient location with subway entrance almost at front door and Times Square 10 minute walk and Central Park a few blocks north We enjoyed our stay

Hotel staff was awesome! Particularly Nick, Maria, the bellman, and another front desk person but I can’t remember his name Nearly everyone we interacted with was so pleasant My husband and I had just gone through a disaster of a trip for what was meant to be our honeymoon and ended up stuck in NY

We booked this hotel randomly on the Marriott app because it was near times square and looked nice I briefly explained the situation on the chat service and they gave us a complimentary upgrade to a king room After experiencing a terrible 48 hours with the JFK airport, that simple act of kindness felt so nice We also received breakfast vouchers and I am so happy because they served some awesome food in the restaurant I had no idea the story behind the cat at this hotel but this made it all the better because I absolutely love cats The staff also gave us great tips and suggestions for things to do on our impromptu visit to the city I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking to stay near times square and I would definitely want to stay again

This is a cute boutique hotel The rooms are clean and the entire place smells great Rooms are small but cozy

The bathrooms are pretty good, with all the standard vanity products You get complementary water every day and the rooms are being cleaned every day The lobby is beautiful, the staff is professional and helpful However I have to rate it with 3 stars because the hotel is (at the time of our visit) not serving any food and drinks This is temporary, because the ownership has changed and the hotel is waiting for the liquor license However, this was never mentioned on the website and we are paying the full price My stay is significantly less enjoyable due to this Also, there’s no gym available If the lobby wasn’t as beautiful, I wouldn’t be so sad that I can’t get a drink/ breakfast in the hotel

Oh my I just love this hotel in the heart of New York City right off Times square I was lucky enough to be upgraded to the Dorothy Parker suite it was quite luxurious but also extremely vintage and authentic While I was there, the hotel bar was not open for business, however the staff had no problem with us sitting there with our own booze and having a lovely party, not too loud of course

Plus there is a very handsome hotel cat Truly I don’t know what else you can expect out of a New York City hotel I was charmed

What a great stay The staff are all so wonderful! Only tiny misstep is the long line for breakfast (which is a bakery in the lobby) but we worked out quickly that you could use the coupons anytime until 430 so instead of breakfast we opted for snacks in the afternoon Our first room was incredibly small and not very well situated but the staff were very sweet and moved us to a high floor with a very big room! The location is wonderful

Sam Jones

Exceeds expectations for the price point with a phenomenal French bakery downstairs We were pleased with the room (two queens) and received great service from everyone we interacted with We had a member of the group in a wheelchair and the elevator was a rather tight squeeze but if it had been any bigger, they offered the service elevator

Great part of town – right on the 1 line and in close proximity to some solid restaurants Would stay here again!

Katie Mullen Plumb

Our room was clean and a decent size The bed was comfortable The bakery attached is delicious! I wasnโ€™t amazed by the staff checking us in, but a huge reason for my five stars were the people behind the scenes

We had an engineer come fix our door, it wasnโ€™t locking, he was wonderful The housekeeping staff was amazing and in my opinion went above and beyond They folded our pajamas and even moved around a little stuffed animal one of our children packed for us to have on our weekend away Location is great We would stay here again

Had a delay with our flight from Detroit, so we missed our flight home There wasn’t very many hotels with vacancies We were so glad we found this hotel

They have free shuttle from and to the airport So that saves money, no need for an Uber The front desk clerk was very friendly The lobby could use some updating, the room was really nice, clean and comfortable During the day the street noise was loud, but at night when you have the air conditioner on, you donโ€™t hear the noise The bed and pillows were very comfortable The water closet is separate from the shower, which is very convenient, for 2 people trying to get dressed There also was a living area divided by a desk with sliding glass for privacy The breakfast, which is free, wasn’t all that great It was cold (turkey and pork sausage, eggs, fried potatoes) The waffle mix was really thin The oatmeal was hot The breakfast attendant was very friendly Both shuttle drivers (from the airport and back to the airport) were friendly

Dabe James

I stopped in here to grab a late night cocktail and a bite to eat while waiting for a client to finish their presentation I stopped at the restaurant and the bartender that was there(I have forgotten her name) Was a huge basketball fan and an excellent bartender Friendly attentive as well as the staff that I encountered

The food was good and it was one of the few places that was open late night Itโ€™s definitely worth stopping in

We have stayed at SpringHill LaGuardia countless times in the past & always had great experiencesย  Unfortunately, this time was not so greatย  We were there for my mom funeral & was hoping to get a decent night(s) sleep after driving 10hr

ย  ย We have always felt comfortable at the hotel but after a long drive and mom’s viewing that night, we return to get some rest when we finally lay in bed sadly, we found out late that night both beds Squeaked Horribly Loud!ย  Every timeย someone turned in bed it was loud noises, so it was very difficult to get any restย  The kids often got up and sat up in bed because they couldn’t get any restย  Secondly, there was a Horrible Red stain on one side of the bed, between the nightstand and bedย  It almost looked like blood and looks like it was traced/tracked throughout the room towards the door, it did creeped us out, I had to take a pillow and cover the large stain by the bed so the kids don’t freak outย  But at that point we were too exhausted to request another room etcย because we had already unpacked and sanitizedย the room for our stayย  Also the shower curtain did not reach the base of the shower, so water constantly poured out and puddle in the bathroom, every time we took a shower and the fan did not work in the bathroom There was no lighting by the front door or mirror closet, so it was difficult with dressing, we even moved the lamp over yet it did not make a differenceย  On the day of the funeral our vehicleย was blocked in where they park the shuttle and we asked the person if they can move up so we can get out, so we are not late for the funeral, the person was about to move up but the Valet told him not to and then proceeded to argue with my husbandย  We kept telling him we are running late for a funeral and he said, you just have to wait and refuse to helpย  This was so ruthless! As you can imagine, this was/is a very sad and stressful time for us and all of this really added to itย  This has always been our go to hotel and we often recommend several friends/familyย  But we were every disappointed in the stay, but we choose to not say anything because my mom funeral was more important We have to return in the future for my mom’s final Spreading of the Ash Service and we are not sure how we feel about staying here after this experienceย  We did mentioned at checkout about our experience, we were told that they will the Management know about all the issues we experienced Unfortunately, no one followed up with us

The Benjamin is a little gem of a hotelIt was my first time staying here and after reading some of the reviews, I was worried about the room being clean or in good shapeBut instead found a freshly renovated, beautifully appointed and spotless room

The bed and pillows were very comfortable and there is even a mini kitchen area with a coffee machine, microwave and sinkI have stayed in numerous four or even five star hotels in NYC, where apart from the rooms often being shoe boxes, they are not very clean or well maintainedThe Benjamin exceeded expectations and I also so appreciated how courteous and professional all the staff isIt was a lovely stay and I will be backThank you

I just had an overwhelmingly positive experience as a guest of this hotel The staff is among the nicest, most down to earth, friendly group of people I have engaged with in the hospitality industry I was coming off of a rough flight, where I was majorly delayed and my luggage was lost

What a relief it was to arrive there and be greeted with smiles and exceptional service Clifford at the front desk was so kind He and I chatted for a while as I was checking out The doorman, (I didn’t get his name) went above and beyond to get in touch with me when there was an issue parking my rental car because silly me took the key fab with me in my purse! Rates were very reasonable for Midtown East and rooms were spacious, clean, and well stocked with anything I neededI’ll be back at The Benjamin Royal Sonesta NYC next summer when I return to the city

Alisha Counsell

Loved our stay at The Benjamin and would recommend to anyone The hotel lobby is beautiful Our room was everything we could ask for and always kept so clean

The staff were lovely and made us feel important even though we were a couple out of hundreds they would see each week If we were to come back to New York we would love to stay here again

Boutique hotel feel upon entryโ€ฆ INCREDIBLE staff that actually care and listen to your needs and wants Extremely luxurious

I have stayed here 4x already and it keeps getting betterโ€ฆ the staff genuinely care about any concerns you have and the rooms are beautiful Guest relations team is top notch along with the Concierge If you want a true luxury hotel this is one of the top options in Manhattan but it does not come cheap

Actually the two women bartenders were superb They concocted perfect Manhattans with a different twist

The service at dinner was excellent- the young man was from Ixtapa Foodwise-it was just ok except for the caviar which doesnt take culinary talent but does take presentation skills The sauce for the baby size beef tenderloin was tasteless, it was vapid The meat was over cooked The white asparagus was good but the artichoke was betterA special note on the graciousness of the bartenders A rather obnoxious man wanted 2400 dollar glasses of Macallan25 year old scotch Politely, they made sure the man was aware of its cost He was rather off-putting to the staff and the clientele but the staff handled the buffoon with pure grace as he changed his order I applaud those women
