I’ve been coming here for years If you stay for a few nights you for sure won’t be let downFriendly, attentive staff, spacious lobby and guest rooms with funky meets traditional furnishings, soaring ceilings, and comfy beds Perfect location for Smithsonian and within walking distance to the Tidal Basin/cherry blossoms We felt very safe walking around Complimentary coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings – a nice touch Several very good restaurants within a few steps from the hotel in every direction, including a lively restaurant/bar with outdoor seating in the hotel’s own courtyard We’re hoping to make this an annual trip!

Shining Starzz

I’ve stayed in hotels all around the world and this is my favorite Front staff was friendly and sociable Check-in was easy

Free happy hour in the evening High vault ceilings in the rooms, which are well decorated Large full mirror in the rooms and little things like the jewelry box, umbrella, yoga mat, exotic animal print robes and natural soap make a big difference Only disappointment was the view from my window

We stayed with a group and had an absolutely incredible experience! From the amazing scent in the hotel right as you walk in to the service throughout our stay, everything was simply top notch We interacted with a tall lady working for the housekeeping department and she virtually ran to complete our request We were glad to catch up with her and the housekeeping manager later so we could thank them properly for making our stay just wonderful!

Stephanie Baca

The room was very clean, but the desk had a broken drawer and they used a small strip of packing tape to try and hold the drawer up The stand shower is not sealed so water runs all over the bathroom floorThe hotel bar was nice and the bartender was super friendly and sweet

She was a great conversationalist with a cheery personality

Mark Gutekunst

Clean and nice location Staff was friendly Managerial staff was confrontational with hockey players and parents

Have been to many hotels much friendlier to hockey teams If we were there and not associated with a team, would be a great place to stay Beautiful facility, room was very clean If you’re going with a team, suggest maybe find an alternate hotel

Hotel was in a good location with wonderful service Main entrance doors locked at night the lot across the street only charged $30 for overnight parking instead of the $50 the hotel charges

Poor wifi however, and the shower door kept sliding open while in the shower Also, even though we noted that 4 will be staying, we were given a room for 2: toiletries, towels, no sheets for the sleeper couch, silverware and plates and cups… they do have good service though and although it took a few calls, everyone was very friendly and helpful

Great place to stay in Washington The staff is EXCEEDINGLY helpful and kind to travelers! The breakfast is great

a bit pricey but remember where you’re at this hotel is very close to the mall, the Metro, and all sights you want to see The taxi service in DC is wonderful and the drivers are kind We attended a conference at the Hilton and the serving staff is amazing and professional The room service is well organized and prompt When you call the front desk to ask questions they want to help you every time Next time I’m traveling individually in Washington this Hilton will be my destination Thank you for a GREAT experience and for your thoughtful and kind staff

I wanted to give special thanks to this hotel for taking care of my folks over the fourth of July weekend I had four family members fly in from California, and they chose to stay here because of its proximity to our house and the city Firstly,

the rooms themselves are very spacious, and the amenities were super awesome! My family mentioned that the staff here really went out of their way to make their stay special Even my own interactions with some of the employees were always great The thing that we liked best about the hotel was its location There is a mall just a short elevator ride down to the lower level, and they have a food court and several major retailers Whats more, the metro station is located right downstairs, so we were all able to travel downtown to see the fireworks without the hassle of driving or searching for parking My people will for sure choose this hotel again the next time they come to visit us

Sarah Beets

Great location right next to the metro Easy access to shops like 7/11 and iHop We had an issue with our room where there was a dripping sound all through the night but when we alerted the staff they got someone in to look into it right away and when they couldn’t fix us they promptly moved us to a new room

Great place for a family and the coffee was great which always helps Will definitely stay again!

I stayed here for just one night on a business trip and had a lovely experience Beautiful room and location In the heart of the city close to many food options

Staff were friendly, warm, and welcoming I cannot comment on pricing as my room was paid for but it was an excellent stay Loved my room and felt so relaxed! Would love to come back! Special thank you to Femi, a receptionist who was very accommodating at check in and check out

Takia Brown

The hotel lobby was clean, the staff were nice, and the location was good Not super impressed for the price No amenities really

I had to request a fridge in my room so to accommodate that they put me in a handicap room I’m six feet tall and everything was super low so it wasn’t ideal The heated floors in the bathroom didn’t work The valet took a little too long so I tried not to use my car The gym and the rooms are pretty small I don’t think this is a desirable hotel but it’s nice

summer hiltpold`

Hotel was great and staff was friendly John was quick to greet us for the valet We left for dinner and came back to a tidy room

We stopped into the bar (the Doyle) stayed for one drink, service was very slow but they were busy and we were content and atmosphere was nice Drink was excellent Hotel claimed to have 24hr room service We called a little before midnight for a bottle of Prosecco (listed on their room service menu) only to be told they don’t do that and to call the Doyle (their bar that was closing in 2 minutes, didn’t get through) Overall fine experience but disappointed in advertised room service When paying for amenities, I like to get what I paid for

Excellent location only minutes to Rosslyn Metro station About an 8-10 minute walk Starbucks and Safeway are very close and within walking distance

Nice neighborhood I got a one bedroom, and it was perfect for our family of 4 Rooms are spacious and comfortable The staff was accommodating and friendly to any needs we had I will stay again

Endeavor Aerial Photography (Endeavor UAS)

We spent two nights at this Residence Inn and would definitely stay there again It’s located very conveniently to the Rosslyn Metro station as well as a Target store and Starbucks (if the need arises) As some of the other reviews mentioned, the hotel is showing its age in many cases

Chipped paint on the doors, the metal trim was peeling from the light fixture, and some other assorted things However, the room was clean and was ready for us even with an early arrival The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was excellent Again, I would not hesitate to stay at this location again

nathan riech

Stayed for 2 weeks due to work Decent RI Older building could use an update soon

TVs are probably from 12 years ago and the streaming services struggled to keep up if they played at all Thankfully there was a hard wired connection I could connect my computer to and watch moviesParking garage underneath, $25 a dayStaff were greatWalkable to some restaurants but mainly business type sandwich and taco shopsStandard breakfast each morning

Had a wonderful stay here for 6 days The room was big and cleanThe staff were friendly throughout the stay

The doormen were very nice always quickly chatting with us and opening the doors for us There was coffee and tea available for free every morning which was a big plus The main advantage to this hotel is how central to the city it is It is only a few minutes walk to the white house and also several great restaurants It is on the same block as a red line train station which made it super easy to get around the city Would highly recommend staying here it you are in Washington DC and want to easily take public transportation to all the landmarks of the city

Christine

It’s the last night of my week long stay at the Mayflower Hotel & it is by far the most immaculate, comfortable yet not sterile space loaded with amenities & hospitality driven employees Beautiful, rich feeling, spacious rooms… with great water pressure I upgraded on Friday night & saved $10/night to have a 3 room “suite” so make sure you are getting those weekend savings! Please take care of your bellhops, door men, bartenders, all of the good people with tips large or small proving it’s the appreciation that truly matters and in return they go out of their way to make sure you feel like your a rockstar

Good food, rather small selection at restaurant/bar, but it gets a bit pricey & so does parking

We Mo

We have stayed here before(2017) and loved it This visit (July ’22) has been a bit different I arrived prior to check in and understand they did not have a room ready for me

I arrived at 1pm, check-in is 4p I was repeatedly told they were cleaning the rooms I get that There was no place to sit in lobby as all the other people waiting for their rooms had taken the seats I waited for over three hours and they never offered to hold my bags so I could go do something while waiting When I FINALLY got my room, after 4pm, I found trash under the couch, toothpaste still in the bathroom sink and a little curly hair in sink as well, and several dark stains on the carpet I understand waiting for them to clean room, but day nab it! It should have actually been clean!!! After the not super friendly but not super snarky attitude of the last afternoon staff, I was not wanting to wait another three hours for a supposedly clean room So I stayed in room i was given Disappointed on this trip in the Mayflower

We stayed at The Line for three nights and I wish we could have stayed longer! Prior to our arrival the front desk staff were friendly and helpful on the phone with fantastic dinner suggestions and tips for getting around via public transit We arrived early and were expecting to leave our bags at the front desk but the employee was very accommodating and checked us in The room was lovely

Incredibly clean bathroom and bedroom, a beautiful view, comfortable bed, and very quiet We enjoyed downtime either at the rooftop mini bar at night watching planes fly in to Reagan air port or during the day on the patio out front of the hotel Truly a beautiful hotel and spectacular staff 10/10 would recommend!!

Marshall Daly

Superb location, and very cool building Rooms are good — certainly better & more unique than a chain hotel, but nothing fancyService, however, was very disappointing for this price point

Called room service for an extra set of utensils never delivered Front desk called with a non-urgent questions at ~11pm on Friday night, then accidentally called my room at ~6am the following Saturday morning ouch Finally, tried to check out the hotel’s rooftop bar and later, the “included” rental bikes only to find out that roof was not open to guests and the bikes were not availableAll told, great location and cool architecture, but for this price the service & amenities left a lot to be desired Hopefully they can improve, it’s great having a hotel option in such an excellent location!

Mollie Young

Everything about our experience was incredible The staff is warm and hospitable, the room was spacious and tasteful (with great city views), and the amenities cannot be beat! We were so excited to use the gym and couldn’t get over equipment options — there’s something for everyone! The hotel restaurant, No Goodbyes, is also a must The service is excellent and the food is fantastic

Definitely have a cocktail at the bar before or after dinner and check out the coffee shop the next morningEverything about our stay was wonderful, and we are already planning our return visit!

We had a lovely time staying at the Melrose in Washington Could not recommend this hotel more highly Beautiful, clean rooms with very comfortable beds, housekeeping service daily with new towels, quality soaps and very quiet

The entire hotel is gorgeous- felt like a luxury hotel, but for an affordable price And it’s located in a perfect area of Washington, a walk away from the big monuments, but not in a loud, touristy neighbourhood The restaurant is open for breakfast, and the Brioche French Toast is delicious! Sofiane is an amazing server- very professional, attentive and made us feel so welcomed He is amazing at his job the Melrose is lucky to have him Julio is very kind and friendly There is also a bar open at night which is fun to visit after a long day walking around the sites of DC! Overall a wonderful stay at the Melrose, and we will definitely return here when we’re in Washington again!

Sara García

The hotel staff were very helpful and polite throughout our whole stay (5 days, 4 nights) The room we got was nice and clean and had a nice view of the area There were some nice places to eat within walkable distance and it is in close proximity to public transport for places further away

The area is pretty safe – we felt perfectly fine walking around during very late hours on our first night in DCThere’s a Whole Foods nearby in case you need to grab something random during your stay and a coffee shop right next door if you need to start your day with some caffeine We walked the 4 blocks to the subway each morning on our way to the more touristy destinations of our itinerary in the National Mall

Kylie Kirk

Had a lovely stay at this hotel – a glorious king bed in a spacious room with great linens The hotel feels very upscale, loved the morning coffee station as well as the fruit water hydration area The cherry on the top was fantastic service from Myra at the front desk, who we had a delightful conversation with and made us feel welcome

Would stay again!

Best hotel in GeorgetownI love the charm of this hotel right in the heart of everything The friendliest staff and impeccable service and luxurious accommodations while steps away from shopping and more dining options

The library/reception area is a cozy and elegant pace for a nightcap or to lounge The rooftop offers a fantastic view of the cityscape and is a great for private functions or if you need a peaceful place to hang out

Jay Gif

Staff were friendly and helpful Valet offered to keep Tesla charged overnight which was great! The room was THE quietest hotel room we’ve ever stayed in (no HVAC noise at all) Bed was comfortable, bathroom nice although some paint bubbling in ceiling

The rooftop spa and bar looked amazing but too cold to enjoy Deducted a star for value, was very expensive and just didn’t quite deliver what I felt it should at that price

Tania Ferguson

The Rosewood DC is remarkably disappointing More expensive than comparable rooms at the Ritz or Four Seasons, there are essentially no luxury amenities The pool is the size of two hot tubs

Sadly, Cut the restaurant had a kitchen fire and therefore there is no way to get anything to eat at the hotel I had to go grocery shopping They did not offer any discount for this inconvenience The did make the minibar complementary except for liquor…and there is essentially nothing to eat in the minibar The room is incredibly small and the bathroom hard to manage in its size The “partial canal view” is just a brick wall One must stand to look out the window if water is to be seen-and only then with great focus More accurately this is a brick wall view There is no spa, the fitness facility is smaller than a bathroom with no modern equipment in it except a single peleton bike with bad pedals The fitness facility is a really big disappointment-I’ve had to find a gym to go work out at So I’ve had to leave the premises for food, workout, spa services…It’s a travesty to the Rosewood brand They should close the hotel and renovate, modernize-or drop the prices to reflect the current facade

Sharon

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel This hotel “understood the assignment” when it came to true customer service Booked this hotel for my senior parents visiting from southern VA

Front desk, friendly, polite and smiled every – single – day They immediately, with no problems, upgraded my parents room to a studio because my dad was weary of staying on a floor above 3 The boxed breakfasts were nutritious, delicious and high in protein The hotel was spotless and smelled nice and fresh All hand sanitizer stations were filled and usable No hassle parking From the complementary bedroom slippers, to the bottled water, just and all around EXCEPTIONAL experience Great location My parents were very pleased and LOVED the comfortable bed They also felt very safe in the area I HIGHLY recommend this hotel, especially for seniors

Michael Gracey

I stayed for two nights (Friday/Saturday) to extend some work travel while taking advantage of a discount offered by the hotel Staff handled check-in courteously and expeditiously Complimentary parking was located in garage across from hotel (would have been nice to know on email confirmations)

My room happened to be in a corner on the second floor The room was predictably clean I appreciated a couple of small things such as complimentary bottled water, Malin&Goetz bath amenities, and a couple of books for reading if I was interested (I was not but appreciated the gesture) The bed and sofa both had firmer feels than other hotels at which I have stayed (Both were acceptable though and maybe understandable given their newness with the renovation) The shower design somehow encourages water to pool rather than drain, so I hope something can be done maintenance wise as they renovate Road noise is noticeable until midnight, so I would request a room at a higher floor and facing away from Lee HighwayPrices at first glance do not seem terribly unreasonable without the discount (hopefully they will stay reasonable after the renovations finish later this year) All in all the location proves a great reason to stay for a night or two and eat through Mosaic and surrounding restaurants within walking distance and movie watching at the Angelika One could feel good supporting a boutique hotel brand staying here

Jessica Kim

Excellent location and most importantly excellent hospitality The location was fantastic and accommodated our late check in request The room was in good condition and left a very nice gift basket for us to enjoy my promotion

This made this hotel outstanding I would love to visit this location again after their remodeling is complete Thank you so much for a wonderful experience

Hotel was great The breakfast was dynamite Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful

Good location My only issue was that some of the guests were being too comfortable I noticed several times various guests walking around the lobby and restaurant without shoes or even barefooted One lady was walking around the main lobby with only a robe What happened to “No shoes, No shirt, No service”

Sean Roche

Staying in a hotel with young children can be tough, but we found Embassy Suites to be perfect for us The rooms have tables large enough to eat on and (obviously in the hotel chain’s name) have a living space that closes off from the bedroomThe pool/hot tub area was great (but slippery – be careful!) And included continental breakfast + happy hour make for an easy day while exploring DC

Already plan on returning next year

Honestly, this hotel turned out to be everything I expected, except for one MAJOR caveat Service was fine, except room service did walk in on us with barely any warning Here is the most concerning part

I enter the hotel with no bug bites, and then I wake up with FIVE! The fact that this hotel can’t even keep bed bugs out of their sheets will discourage me from ever staying here again The rest of the room wasn’t all too clean either We found a forgotten pacifier in the bedroom area, and the bathroom floors and counters were all sticky If you want to have confidence in your room’s cleanliness, DON’T go to this hotel Spend your money elsewhere

Great hotel and great staff I stayed at this hotel with my family for three days and it was a great experience The location is excellent with all the restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance

The breakfast has great options and “Dave” runs the breakfast area like his own kitchen Thanks Residence Inn for this great experience! Will definitely be back for future stays!

Good location that is connected to a nice shopping area with a movie theater, Starbucks, multiple restaurants, a tailor, barbershop and more They do not have balcony’s or any individual outdoor spaced for the room, but there is a sitting area outside The pool was broken throughout the entire stay

The room was spacious, the shower head needed some attention

Disappointing Can hear the highway from the room, and they supposedly didn’t have any other rooms to offer us Definitely not worth the price

Rooms should be soundproofed better Mediocre— nice Marriott at best Probably could have spent $200 less and stayed at a hotel just as nice, and way quieterThe lobby is adorable and homey feeling Service was great Location is great

I had the pleasure of working with the director of catering, Liliana Klein, on a gorgeous wedding this past weekend I was the couple’s planner and was thrilled to be able to produce a wedding at Ritz Carlton Georgetown Throughout the process, Liliana was the consummate professional: warm and welcoming, communicative, addressed any and all questions, followed up after any meetings promptly, and on the day was FANTASTIC to work with

I could tell it was a high priority of Liliana to go above and beyond for the couple in making their wedding weekend a dream experience for them and an effortless celebration for their guests Would work here for every wedding if I could! Plus, gatherings of 70-90 are my favorite!! Thank you, Liliana and RC staff

I’m sorry but hope that my review helps when making a decision on what hotel to book This is a 3 star hotel at best, it appears as though it is a Marriott not a Ritz Carlton For a better choice book the Four Seasons Georgetown

I have an Exec Suite , the furniture is stained and old, the mini bar has absolutely nothing in it Just not a 5 star hotel

The overall service at the property exceeded my expectations Eric, is an asset to this property and understands what it takes to leave a lasting impression on a guest Eric paid attention to detail and anticipated my needs by providing extra blankets, pillows, and a roll away bed in the suite prior to my arrival

I arrived with 4 exhausted teenage boys who traveled and competed in a basketball championship Check In was fast and there was no wait to be checked in Everything was prepared for us when we arrived, the room was large and clean, the roll Away bed was turned down and prepared for our late arrival the beds were both comfortable The property was spotless, Inside and out with plenty of parking the area felt very safe, and secure The buffet style Breakfast was great, offering healthy and quick options for families on the go, or a chef to prepare the breakfast of your choice, which is complimentary Eric went out of his way multiple times to ensure We had a perfect stay and he is a great example of what exceptional hospitality looks like

Great stay for business trip Loved the idea of having drink tickets This was a big plus with my group

Nice way to come to our home away from home after a long day of working Eric’s big smile and sweet welcome back was nice as well We will be back in a few weeks and looking forward to another good nights sleep in the comfortable bed Also, room temp was kept nice and cold :} thank you, see ya soon > Tribble

The first Embassy Suites I’ve visited that wasn’t actually a suite It was a single, medium size, room It had a large TV and entertainment center that the used to slightly partition it, but still a single room

Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean and well stocked The drink tickets were great Parking was not free, but when my uber dropped me off, the arms were up And it looked like an ample size parking lot I didn’t eat breakfast, but based on other reviews it’s tasty

If I can give this hotel a -100 stars I would I traveled with my family with kids and an elderly woman I booked my rooms online, when I arrived to check in i was greeted by a young man who before greeting me properly, informed me that we would have an issue

Apparently they overbooked and could not honor my PAID reservation The man was rude and nasty and continued to inform me that they could not refund me and it was not his problem At no point did this rude nasty individual even apologize for the error on their hotels part I will never again stay or even look at another extended stay america Horrible customer service and treatment!

Joseph Gordon

My family, consisting of children, adults and an elderly woman, came from out of state and were treated horribly upon arrival We approached the front desk to ask for our room that we had booked over a WEEK ago, and the young man told us they had sold our rooms already After telling us this he proceeded to tell us it was not his problem and that we needed to fix it ourselves

Then he had the nerve to get upset as if HE was the one being unconvinced We asked for hotel management and they were no where to be found and the young man expressed HOTEL MANAGEMENT would say the same thing Terrible experience! Terrible service! 0/100 I do NOT recommend PS There was a smell of urine in the lobby

Amazing hotel Incredible staff Angel, Jonathan and the whole team took care of everything during my multi-week stay here
