We have stayed here a couple weekends over the last couple of months This place is very nice and the staff is attentive! The problem is the people who live here!! They think they own the place There is an old couple that has been here every time we’ve come and they are so rude!! Washing clothes they come in huffing and puffing like we are in the way

Breakfast, the stare you down cause she’s taking plates and plates of food back to their room!! We go up and ask for biscuits, 10 minutes…we turn the old lady goes into the back door and comes out with a plate full of biscuits for their room for 2 people!!! They are not good for your business

Beware of front desk staffing issues/poor customer service, and the shuttle does not run at the hours they claim it does When I called before making the reservation, the front desk gentleman told me it ran much different hours than it does in reality Front desk staff also laughed at us when we called from the airport to ask about the shuttle–as if we should know it wasn’t running at that time– zero customer service

Also, when I asked to speak to the supervisor or person in charge either at check in or the following morning, I was told that no one is in charge in evenings or weekends so there was no one available Very poor experience, would not recommend

SMELLY Those rooms are not cleaned My initial room’s bathroom smelled like pee was on the floor

Went to the front desk They changed the room Next one had an overwhelming sweaty feet and corn chip smell as soon as I opened the door This is what I got after making a 10 hour drive and then not being able to check me in for almost an hour My job was paying for this stay as a part of a corporate relocation while I waited for my furniture to arrive I would rather sleep on an air mattress in my empty apartment I left I don’t have the patience for that at 12:30 AM

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Boutte Check out is at noon and when my friends ran late (4 hours mind you) and Uber was unable to send a car, the manager was kind enough to allow me to occupy the lobby They offer a great breakfast and are pet friendly

Can’t wait for there construction to be completed Keep up the great work and Thank you again for being so kind to me

Rebecka Montgomery

Needs a lot of work still My lock was busted, the carpet frayed, they hot water was Luke warm at best, and it hadn’t been vacuumed when I arrived But they did take care of the vacuum the first time I had them clean

Super friendly staff and closet to places to eat Super small parking lot on a very busy high way Trucks often parked in the grass making it hard to see to get out Would stay here again if work needed me to Would not if I was in vacation

Kintsugi Kiro

Check in was horrible The owner didn’t want to accept that I didn’t have to put a credit card on my room He reservation was for a week and he said well maybe you can check out tomorrow

Maybe I can was my reply He quickly changed his attitude It was loud and I wasn’t able to get a receipt because their printer was out of ink Really? The front desk lady said she would email it I’m still waiting 3 weeks later so I can turn it in to show I was there I will drive the 4 hours each way every day before I stay there again

The receptionist is the gold standard for customer service Very likable and kind The rooms are a great price if you are looking for a place to stay not far from New Orleans

Clean room, clean sheets, everything just felt right AC works amazingly If you are 6’2″ like myself then you understand how hard it is to find a place that has showerheads or even showers that tall, the shower is very tall and has the shower head above me! The water pressure is not the best I have seen but definitely not anything to complain about The pictures online are not far from how this place actually looks I would highly recommend skipping the booking company and just call their office I didn’t have to wait on hold or go through a ton of different people Just picked right up and told us everything we need to know Room is spacious, full size fridge, microwave, and a sink I sleep on a memory foam mattress at home, very thick and comfortable, the beds here I sleep just as well If this sounds too good to be true I do not blame you, if you find yourself in the area just stop by and ask if you can inspect the room before paying, I doubt you will be disappointed

This was our first time staying in LaPlace I’m normally pretty skeptical of places outside of the city It’s literally a perfect location between the city and the plantations

Usually you run into high priced places with cheap quality This cost us $130 a night an utterly was worth it Outside the city so we got quiet nights in The bed was comfy and our room was spotless Only a little dust on the hairdryer The manager, owner, I’m not sure which she was- she was sweet, welcoming and helpful Will definitely be staying here again

All Best Westerns are definitely not the same This hotel is nonsmoking, but there were people smoking outside all over the place, even right outside our door when we pulled in to park The room was nice and the bed was comfortable

The room felt really humid to me though And when the neighbors went into their room at 3am it woke me up when their door slammed shut The hot breakfast was pretty good One thing that I did not like: the housekeeper pounded on our door at 9:24am to ask if we were leaving today and to remind us that checkout was at 11am Normally I’m a late sleeper and that would’ve woken me up I could understand if it was 10:30, but certainly not 9:24!!

Carole Lehr Johnson

While this hotel was conveniently located, I found it a little lacking The renovations were nice, but the room could have been a little cleaner It was ‘ok’

The staff was the best feature of the property A repairman came to fix the shower handle which fell off in my hand, but he could not speak English We had requested a late check out and he showed up early, which was not helpful as I’d told the front desk that we were able to manage with the broken handle and it could be repaired after we checked out

WMichael Stream

My wife and I have stayed at this particular motel many times and we are always happy with our stay The Front Desk is very friendly and very professional The Maid Service is outstanding and the Breakfast Service is great

The rooms are always spotless and maintained extremely well, the grounds are kept clean and the overall appearance is outstanding I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to be in the New Orleans area for any period of time

I’m  not usually picky when it comes to hotels because we travel a ton and usually are only in a hotel long enough to sleep However, this is by far the worst place I’ve ever stayed at We checked in and were told the “rules” of cleaning up after yourself and quickly found out why

There’s no way they clean the rooms between guests Our room had food/dirt and god knows what on the walls, counters and cabinets The floors were absolutely disgusting, just from a quick walk from the door to the bed my socks were completely black There were roaches around the kitchenette sink You’re nickel and dimed for everything, including towels (you’re supposed to make 2 towels work for 2 people for a week) and the elevator randomly breaks down and the hallway to our room smells horrible and has every day this week We’re coming to the end of our stay and cannot wait to leave Everything around us is booked otherwise I would’ve changed our reservation I paid a decent amount for this room considering I booked pretty last minute, I’ve paid way less for accommodations that were much cleaner and more inclusive The people at the front desk have been great and it isn’t their fault that this property is horribly run and disgustingly kept

Ariel Oliver

We had to go through and strip the room then clean it thoroughly The mattress protector was nasty and you can tell that they rarely change them The kitchen area had food that was not cleaned on the stove and doors including the refrigerator door

The bathroom shower could’ve been cleaned better The water pressure and hot water is not good at all The stairwell we used was not cleaned the entire time that we stayed there On the website it says that there is no deposit required but when you get there they charged $150 On the website it says that they offer a discount for a company but when asked they said no I was paying weekly and one week they said that they only charged somehow for just 6 days instead of 7 days and than they took part of my deposit because they messed up They could’ve said something in the next 2 weeks while we were still there but the front desk/ management FAILED! We left early and when we called the number to check out they didn’t answer after waiting and calling for about 30 minutes When asked to speak with the manager she is unavailable but she has time to interrupt a conversation because she thought the front desk was giving information to someone who shouldn’t be getting it and she was wrong because my name was on the room as well The main priority should be customer service and their customer service need some work! While there I also received a ticket because someone called the police and said I was parked in a handicap parking spot which was not true and the police failed to look at the parking because she assumed that spot was handicap because the others were

I wish you could leave reviews that are a 0!!!!! i checked in very exhausted and to start my room key would not work! the lady at the front desk had to give me another room! the carpet ask i walked to the room was Filthy!!!! i barely wanted to walk on it! i got into my room and looked around but was extremely exhausted from my drive and checked the bed and layer down i fell asleep around 7:30 and woke up to a ROACH crawling on ME! I immediately jumped up and grabbed my things the bathroom light came on i assume it’s motion detected and they had a roach on the counter and floor! i grabbed my things and went to the lobby! No one was there because the front desk was now closed i have never stayed in a hotel where the front desk closes! I called the 1800 number but no one would answer! I hung around in the lobby for a few minutes in hopes someone would appear no one! i decided to leave! unfortunately i had to wait for my husband to get off of an airplane to meet me there! i stayed in my car outside trying to find a number to call or email! I am disputing my charges! i will never ever go back to this hotel in my life! HORRIBLE!

Again, There is not manager or person in charge in this location My company travel agent did a reservation by CLC system and when I left the hotel, the hotel put the charge on my card not in the CLC After the first complaint the hotel return the money but immediately take again

We had try to talk with the manager but is always in “MEETING” and never take the phone call We had to open a case with the hotel corporative complaint office And yes, I’m sorry for the front desk that have to take the bad and complaint phone call And yes, I will be posting this information everyday until someone with return my money and do the business in the right way

When I went to check in, I was quite upset to learn that my reservation I made through a 3rd party booking website had been canceled without my knowledge What was even more concerning was that the hotel was fully booked for the night as were many surrounding locations However the staff did not let that stop them

Tiffany went above and beyond to ensure that I had a place to stay with them at night Above And Beyond Maria took very good care of me in the lobby and the shuttle driver even warmed me up some hot cinnamon rolls while I waited for a room to become available This is such an excellent and attentive staff and I seriously cannot thank them enough for bending over backwards to ensure I had a warm place to stay for the evening

Marcel Adams

Overall, the staff were friendly and the room was VERY clean I was most impressed upon entering the room with how fresh and fragrant it smelled Having a microwave and fridge was a plus too

What was my most egregious experience with Holiday Inn was their evening shuttle service My friend and I waited more than an hour in a pick-up area with no seating We sat on the cement ground We even had an offer from another hotel service to drop us off after his run if we were still waiting Adding insult to injury once the driver arrived he made no attempt to open the door like we observed with other services AND he did not greet us Not a word!

Karl Sodergren

A few months ago I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express St Charles while in New Orleans and gave a scathing review I don’t like giving poor reviews and fortunately this one is just the opposite John (pictured) checked us in and was super friendly and helpful

He even gave excellent dinner recommendations Unlike the tired hotel at St Charles this facility seems to be very well cared for It’s located in a business district Much better area and better parking The restaurant next door is new We took a chance because it was convenient It was very good I’ll also review it as well

Breakfast variety: 4 items: Omelet 2 different ways, oats (petite portion), fruit (petite portion as well) and coffee (lousy) or waterMy wife tripped over a loose floorboard (a 50 cm sharp piece of wood had partially splintered off from the wooden floor transition piece) leaving the breakfast area on the way to the hotel lobby After 10 minutes, the receptionist finally brought some band-aids and disinfection cream

Apology from the hotel? — Nothing Would they immediately repair it? No! The next day it was still the sameRoom: the extraction fan in the bathroom did not work The only way to get any fresh air into the room was to keep the door forced open with the luggage rack Absolutely terrible place We are so glad to be back in Germany Even a 2-Star Hotel here is better than the Hilton in the US They wouldn’t dare to have a breakfast area without a Buffet spread Value for money? The 5-day stay in the Hilton cost much more than the entire airfare for us two from Germany to New Orleans and back, but we had to visit this town to attend the funeral of my wife’s mother

Jeremy Bell

The carpet in our room was sticky I don’t want to make any guesses as to why, because I’m sure that would gross me out even more We also experienced sub-par customer service during our stay

When we arrived at the hotel, there was a security guard behind the counter that looked like a desk agent When I approached him to check in, he didn’t look at me or talk to me The other person behind the counter had to notify me that I was talking to the wrong person It would have been nice if he could have had the common courtesy to at least look at me and motion in the direction of who I should be speaking to I’m not sure what kind of security he’s providing if he never looks up Also, the front desk did not answer my questions clearly or provide accurate information about the airport shuttle I was told it ran every 15 minutes, but it was closer to every 30 minutes with how slow the shuttle operated At least it was free Lastly, to no fault of the Hilton, this hotel is no longer next to the airport Travelers should be aware that the shuttle to and from the airport takes about 10-20 minutes The only thing that this hotel is close to is the airport car rental facility It’s directly across the street, and you can walk to it If you aren’t renting a car, I’d suggest staying at a different hotel that’s closer to the airport that has better rooms and customer service

Heather Verret

Review for airport parking only: used their parking service when our usual wasn’t available Registered online & prepaid for 3 days of parking

You have to go inside the hotel lobby to check in & get a tag to place on your dashboard for the duration of your staythere was a short wait upon arrival, so definitely allow for extra time for that Also allow for extra time as the shuttle ride to the airport is about 10 minutes, plus an extra 10 or so to load everyone & their luggage The process isn’t as speedy as lots closer to the terminal, but if you allow for extra time this is definitely a good, convenient option Cost is about the same as other lots Drivers were also extremely courteous & went out of their way to assist others, which was appreciated

The hotel seems to be under a renovation, but it shouldn’t be open in the condition that it’s in It just looks dirty The lobby appears nice, as do the hallways, and the rooms, but it’s all the small details which make it look dirty and uninhabitable

The carpets in the hallways and the rooms have specks of dried spackle, caulk, or other building materials Easily fixed it vacuumed properly Same goes for the furniture in the room, bathroom, and walls All the left over building materials make it look like it hasn’t been cleaned because literally it hasn’t The toilet in my room wasn’t bolted into the floor at all, and moved with ease I practically fell off of it initiallyFixtures in the building are hanging off by a screw, the sconces in the hallways, the elevator button panelsall these things can easily be addressed by a handyman No maintenance personnel were seen at all addressing any of these matters when I was presentThe front desk personnel were pleasantly and welcoming and the hotel does seem like it will eventually look very nice once these issues are addressedI stay in hotels about 10-15 nights a month and this was less than satisfactory

Maine Girl

When we got the room online it never mentioned anything about being under renovation from last years hurricane When we got there, there were signs up thanking us for our patience After we checked in and went to our room, our room was definitely not cleaned

The bathroom was full of hair and disgusting We went down to the front desk and were told there were no other rooms There was no apologies or anything We cancelled our reservations and went and found someplace else to stay for the night Very inconvenient since we had a to get up at 330am for an early flight The customer service was nothing we would expect, especially after letting her know what we found It was like no big deal to her Maybe she was used to itI don’t know But I do know I am not used to a dirty hotel room and will not stay in one Especially when I am spending my hard earned money Will not be returning here again & would not recommend!

Adrienne Ricard

The staff was friendly The list of disappoints goes on and on (1) The carpet was dirty and ripped, it smelled and was sticky

I had to always keep my socks on (2) The shower stall had large plops of mildew and hair around the base (3) The restaurant was closed and there wasn’t any grab and go, as advertised on the website (4) Housekeeping services were unavailable unless your stay exceeded five days, guests should be informed prior to check-in (5) There were yellow stains on the white towels I went to Target to purchase me some (6) There was visible toothpaste splatter on the faucet and mirror I won’t bore you with the minor infractions Clearly this hotel is not maintained or routinely cleaned When I asked about these things, I was told that housekeeping had gone for the day and that they would address it the next day

Overall the stay was good Would stay there again if I have to

Horrific – avoid at all costs!!!!No matter the other problems (which I will also list) the number one problem that is absolutely, completely unacceptable is that the room had roaches – and they got into my bag and left with me!!!! I noticed one and killed it before I went to bed The next morning after I showered there was another one crawling across the bed Then when I got to my client for the day one crawled out of my bag and upon inspection, I found 2 more

These were not large water bugs – these were true roaches The room smelled damp and musty The carpets had highly questionable stains My slippers stuck to the floor as I walked in the room and in the bathroom (thank goodness I always pack a pair) I moved the ice bucket off of a table to set my backpack there and it was sticky and gummy The lower shelf on the table had fingerprints in the dust, it was so built up The bathtub was missing large spots of enamel and were rusted The hotel is two stories, but there is no elevator The only thing positive thing I can say about this room is that the iron was amazing Otherwise, I still shudder when I think about my one miserable night spent there

This hotel is so bad offNo elevator ! Just fyiIts falling apart, the carpet is digesting, room is barely stocked with towels

My white slippers where brown just from keeping them on in the roomThe bedding seemed cleanAll else was terrible!Breakfast was not available because an order did not come in … for three daysI am not a negative person – but this was awful and not worth half the price paidFrontdesk man was decent*

Actually not too bad and not so great Our room was clean but the carpet smell like alcohol (beer) I gave 3 star for the employee (receptionist) for the friendly service

I only complained is the elevator was too dirty the entrance was disgusting because there’s a cigarette buds all over in the entrance door Staff must pay attention to clear all the mess and clean the facilities
