I arrived late so I wasn’t able to meet anyone at reception, but my key and necessary documents were left safely for meIt is difficult to access this incredibly fascinating building if you are lugging your stuff up to the second floor in the rain

But if I had arrived on time this would not have been a problemFor a shockingly affordable price, you will be treated to an incredibly adorable and perfect room with a refrigerator and a microwave, a spa tub!In addition to regular bathroom facilities, and the generally expected television, etcThe decor here is just perfect The bed is comfortable The room is remarkably and pleasantly clean There is a fireplace, but I am making use of the air conditionerBreakfast was a lovely affair Continental is available for those who would prefer coffee and a bagel, but a small, hot, made to order menu is available I was not expecting this! The staff were friendly and did not seem to mind my incessant questions about the history of this beautiful spaceA great night Followed by an excellent morning; well rested and fed and back on the road! I look forward to coming back!

From the time Mike showed us our room my girlfriend had a smile a mile wide We stayed in the Orient Express room It was on the first floor right next to the entrance, very convenient

Breakfast was very good with a nice selection We asked Mike if it was possible to have a love seat so we could sit together in front of the fireplace When we came back from dinner a chair for two was in our room What a perfect place and area to propose to the love of mine We will definitely come back The Globe Inn will be our anniversary destination every year

Such a great place to stay! Quant, cozy, and personal, just what we desired Love the history and the spacious room We stayed in the Vienna Bridal Suite and it was clean and so nice

Our room has a little sitting space, fireplace, jacuzzi tub, bathroom with shower, queen size bed, and desk areaAs an added bonus, it smells like brownies outside, for real! Apparently there is a chocolate factory close by!

The cleanliness of the rooms were not up to par There were crumbs on the floor and in the drawers The side of the bed had some food stuck to it

Hair was on one of the towels And many updates and TLC needed within the suite We had to move from one suite to another because of how dirty the first one was Although the second was better, we still were not impressed given the condition The suites as a whole are set up very nice with all the amenities, however, they truly need cleaned THOROUGHLY and we shouldn’t have to see crumbs from previous guests from however long agoThe second room we stayed in was next to the boiler room Sporadically with no warning there was an extremely loud bang which would wake us up during the night and startle us out of our sleep It wasn’t a loud bang You could just ignore but it literally shook our entire room and scared us every time We alerted the front desk staff, but they just matter of factly said we were next to the boiler room and didn’t really seem concerned about us losing sleep/being startled and disrupted over the loud noise Honestly, that room shouldn’t even be available for stay Unless you’re one that has no startle reflex then the room shouldn’t even be given to guestsI had to come back a week later and was iffy on if the third room I had to stay in would be in the same condition as the other two and it was Crumby and needing some TLC Also the window was broken You may ask why did I come back to the same hotel? Well because of familiarity and I had to rush back to see a loved one in the ICU who was passing away No time to really search for a new hotel so I returned to this one, plus it’s very close to Einstein hospital I just dealt with it due to limited time to research other places to stay and other pressing matters to attend toI really wanted to like this hotel because of how the suit is set up but they should really work on making sure the simple things are taken care of like simply sweeping a floor or wiping off a counterThe staff is friendly and are sure to greet you every time you enter and leave They also changed our first room that was the dirtiest of the 3 without an issue but other than that the hotel itself could do better with the upkeep

This place is perfect for a one-night wedding stay and World of Hyatt elite members will get wonderful treatments and upgrades I am just a Explorist yet I got upgraded to a two bedroom room upon arrival People here are extremely friendly and I received warm service during my stay

Breakfast is open and has wonderful options Great stay

Johnathon Mohr

The Hyatt House is a mid-level hotel meant for extended stays The suites are acceptable but they are showing their age You will be able to sleep, shower, and work semi-comfortably at the hotel

The internet is fast The main drawbacks are the space is used for a lot of party type events which can lead to loud drunken chaos, but it’s not a deal breaker as you really cannot hear it in your room There is no room service or restaurant, there is however a small bar where they may serve food but I cannot speak to that at this time There is also a pool, though I have never used it There also is not any assistance in dealing with luggage or valet parking There is however a very convenient lot and the staff do try their best to go above and beyond for you as best possible They are pet friendly as well

Great hotel, beds, food and coffee Night manager was very kind and helped me with extra pillows in the middle of the night Great staff EXCEPT the housekeeper who knocked on our door and woke us up before 8 am and entered when we did not answer yelling housekeeping

When reported, I was informed they were not supposed to do that I could not go back to sleep and stayed in the lobby for a long time waiting for my family to wake up so I wouldn’t interrupt their sleep again and for the day manager to arrive Paying to sleep somewhere and getting woke up by staff is kind of a fail when SLEEPING is the purpose of getting a hotel Without this occurring, this hotel would be a 5 All other staff members were great but I can’t look past it Offered late check out but when you can’t go back to sleep, what’s the point When I told the manager that, she offered nothing else Shame It takes a lot for me to complain and I am very easy to get along with and kind It’s not too much to ask to be left alone to sleep at a hotel

Avoid this location! The staff was nonexistent for pretty much my entire 4 day stay, and the tall woman I was able to track down a couple times seemed to be in a daze Very poor customer service, the staff were all rude and disrespectful, with the exception of the breakfast workersThere was a large noisy crowd of people drinking alcoholic beverages in the dining area each night who allowed their children to run the halls playing tag throughout the hotel

I asked the woman on duty to please address the situation and she looked at me like I was insaneThe bed was uncomfortable and the pool temperature was way too cool to swim inThis is the worse stay I’ve ever experienced at Hampton Inn hotels

Lisa Portelli

This hotel was very clean and comfortable The soundproofing was very good, I couldn’t hear any other guests My room had two big windows and a couch, it was bright and sunny

The water pressure in the shower was good The hotel agent provided us a bottle of water upon checkin The wifi worked well Good location Walking distance to Walmart which is convenient if you forget anything Lots of restaurants nearby

Beverly was very nice when she greeted us We made a little conversation and she made sure to tell is where to find everythingThe room was big and comfortable, love the fact that there is a mini fridge and also a microwave

Room seems well out together however the carpet and also the sofa needs a bit more love (cleaning)We stayed for 3 nights The first morning we got down at 7 for breakfast, they had eggs, sausages, cereal, coffee, tea, waffles, bananas and other things The eggs were good but the waffle were extremely sweet I think we even find some pieces of sugar that were not fully blended with the mixOther than that breakfast was okayThe checking out was smooth and fast I would definitely recommend this hotel The price was good

It is an very old hotel Room is old Paint are peeling off the ceiling and walls

No fan in the bathroom Moldy airway Mattress on pullout is stained with yellow spots Bathtub was very dirty we even have to wear our flip flop to take a bath Don’t know why it is a 45 on Expedia or even 4 here Should be a 3 or 25 and I’m being generous Breakfast was basic But the most important part is the hygiene and condition of the room itself is very important

Tiffani West

I had an issue with one of the staff when I stayed at this hotel Her named was Beverly , she was not welcoming , I felt that she was racist and prejudice She did not want certain people staying at the hotel

She constantly harassed me, and did it in a slick way She would say slick comments to me She even inquired about my personal package from T-Mobile sent to the hotel Beverly is a racist , and I did not feel welcome there The rest of the staff were cool And I’m going to report her to corporate

I was skeptical when I booked this place but really it’s a nice place I had a clean room with all the amenities including a microwave and everything that’s needed for my business trip Breakfast was not available but the front office provided some breakfast packages due to covid which was amazing

Plenty of parking and it’s in a nice location A hibachi and grill restaurant opposite to the hotel and lot of restaurants and activities closeby The one really impressed me is the Jacuzzi It was great stay and spent nice evenings in the Jacuzzi Friendly customer service and the place is located in a quiet neighborhood

Nisso Kholmuradova

Stayed here for one night First of all, men on the front desk were amazing, so nice and polite people, who can keep a conversation Rooms are clean, no smell

The biggest tv I’ve ever seen in the hotel, was able to connect my phone to the TV and watch Netflix Food is available for delivery around, tastes great Amazing experience, loved this hotel!

Samantha Hall

The front desk employees amazing staff but for the housekeepers they need to step it up because the rooms aren’t clean very well Our room had to be changed the first time because of the bathroom being dirty still with stuff on the toilet The second room was better but still had men’s bread hair on the counter still I went n bought cleaner n just cleaned it myself because I have to small kids n with covid thats a big no no

You have to make sure you request room cleaning services when you check in because they don’t offer it and they won’t do it unless you request it We were there a week without a cleaning and had to clean it ourselves and change our sheets ourselves because they didn’t let us we have to request these things which should be offered especially if your staying extended It should be offered or let known that you have to request the service

Other than that it’s a pretty nice hotel The gym, game room, and breakfast was good to go

Holly Quimby

Wish I could give service 10 stars I wish every hotel had a Joe He was friendly but not to the point of being annoying

Told us everything we needed to know about our stay quickly but with enough pause to check for understanding He should get a gold star Then the next morning we went down for breakfast and the man cleaning the floors had the most amazing smile and was just as pleased as Joe the night before

Feroce Intrepide

We were there 5 days ago Room was nice and clean Thumbs up to that! But the pool

Neeh! When we got in, the first thing we noticed was the pool, it is not clean it was cloudy We ended up sitting there and just chill instead After few minutes maybe 3 teenagers came in and 2 of them jumped in the pool and started to kick to make the water splash out of the pool the they got out of the pool and jumped again and make a big splash and they did that repeatedly plus they were screaming and to make it even worst caught the boy spitting in the water Very disgusting to the fact that they are not the only person in the pool There are kids swimming too! When they all left we went to the side of the pool to make a closer look of the water and confirmed it is so cloudy, oily Dirty We were so disappointed because the first thing we look forward prior to booking was the pool And it looks like they are not cleaning the filter on a regular basis My husband worked in a hotel so he knew and the pool is their number one priority I hope the next time we visit it’ll be all good

This hotel was very clean, it was a very nice place to stay Kat greeted us when we checked in, was very nice and very helpful She suggested a place to eat about a mile away which was very good

Didn’t check out the pool area but judging by the rest of the place, it would be great Breakfast was hot, coffee was very good Highly recommend this place

Don’t know why the digital key never work, this is not the first time, I am disappointed The free breakfast sounds good but not tasting right, we tried the first morning then we never went back again Waffle batter taste fake, I will rather no favor but real batter

Hard boil egg will be great or just a small charge and do it right My stepdaughter live closeby, I would love to have a great hotel to stay all the time

David Strong

Interesting experience for a usually reliable Hampton Inn We were “upgraded” to 201, a larger room Unfortunately, the air conditioning unit is not up to the task of keeping the room cool

it’s an unseasonably hot June The hotel provided a box fan to get through the night Not a good long-term plan Moreover, the 2nd floor ice machine was not working Had to go to the 3rd floor The staff was pleasant and helpful

My wife and I were there for 31 days in April/May 2022 for work at the local Nuclear Plant, and we loved it!!! We enjoyed the rooms, the staff, the environment, the restaurant, and the location We stay at hotels quite a bit for my work, so we are very familiar with the ins/outs of hotel life The hotel staff seems to have a small turnover rate, and it seems that workers really take pride in working here

Several of them we spoke with had worked there for years, which says a lot both about the workers AND the management Everything was clean and tidy, there was never a shortage of luggage carts, there is little noise transmission from room to room or floor to floor (with the exception of the bathroom vents), and all the staff were very nice/personableIf we’re back in the area, this will be the first place we will check for rooms!

Lizzy Moss

We stayed here for a wedding and the hotel room was perfectly fine Shower stayed hot and the room was clean The real star of this hotel was Christine in the Lobby Bar

She stayed late knowing our crew would be coming back from our wedding around 11, so we could all enjoy a night cap together before heading back to our separate cities Her kindness really made the weekend special!

Colin Wells

Long story short, their rooms need some renovations and updates The bathroom door was jamming open The toilet didn’t flush quite right

The mattress in the pullout sofa barely qualified as a mattress And floor tacks were starting to stick up out of the carpetAdditionally, hangers couldn’t fit in the closet properly, and water from the shower got all over the bathroom floor Both of these were from poor attempts to make the space handicap accessible, despite not being well suited to handicap accessibility It’s as though they took a standard room space and rearranged the closet and bathroom walls in order to be handicap accessibleOverall, just not great

I only stayed for a night and checked in very late The staff was so nice and polite The hotel is very nice and clean

Unfortunately my sheets were dirty on the bed and the toilet was very dirty Besides the room not being turned over correctly it was a very nice stay The rooms are spacious, air conditioning works great They provide body wash and shampoo I the bathroom There’s a TV iron and a mini fridge that fits a good amount of left overs There is also a nice Starbucks in the lobby and a nice mini mart with frozen dinners and snacks since things aren’t open very late in that area

Brianna Hawkins

This was a good stay! I was in town for work and stayed here for a week! The hotel and the rooms were clean But the best part was TONY at the front desk!!!! He was so personable, willing to help answer my questions, and gave me a rundown of the area! Some of the best customer service I have ever received! The only reason this stay loses a star is because I prepaid for a King room but was given a Queen because all of the Kings were gone on the first night of my stay but the staff worked to change it for my remaining 6 nights which was great!

Ryan R

I have to say, I was very frustrated to find out that this location didn’t have a pool The frustration came from a badly placed google image of a pool that the hotel used to have, right when you google the hotels name It was confusing and misleading

Therefore, we cancelled our stay, but still got charged due to hotel policyI voiced my concerns to Marriott and within a few short days, they got me in touch with the Front Desk Supervisor Their name was Alex and they were extremely helpful and pleasant to speak with Alex got everything squared away for me and issued a refundI just really appreciated the effort and the help from this hotel We may not have stayed there this time but judging by how helpful the staff was, we’d stay in the future Thank you again!!

John Westwood

Nice hotel I feel like “The Alloy” focused their expenses and updates on the lobby/ dining area (which to be fair is beautiful) The rooms are nice as well with newer furnishings, but don’t quite match the elegance of the main entrance

Staff was very friendly and helpfulMy room was equipped with a mini fridge (which was great) However, the bathroom did not have a fan, which led to cloudy mirrors after showering I could sometimes hear other guests through the walls (but it was not overly bothersome)Parking was manageable There are many restaurants, coffee, and grocery stores nearby You cannot hear any highway noise from inside the rooms

Lucero Galvan

Beautifully remodeled hotel All the main areas, including rooms, had updated features and decor Note, that the only “outdated” area, IMO, was the bathroom – however still very nice and spacious

We received a warm cookie at check in, which we enjoyed in one of their outside seating areas, with the most comfortable couches The fully-stocked bar area had plenty of seating for drinking or collaborating with colleagues The best part was the gym It had all the needed machines and weights to have a fairly good workout They even have an area with ear phones in case you forgot your own All the machines seemed new, with TV workout interactions It’s one of the better hotels we’ve stayed on our work trip in Philly

J Ra John

This will be my second time coming to The Alloy, and it didn’t disappoint The staff upon check-in were amazing, beautiful, helpful, warm, and welcoming The Hotel itself, sets very elegantly on the property

The general entrance / commons, bar, and restaurant areas are so well-kept and look great The rooms are spacious, clean, updated, and comfortable I really have no complaints for The Alloy on this stay It was pleasant, and close to everything I needed to get to All major retail, and entertainment are within seconds, to a few minutes from the property I have now made this place a permanent consideration, for future leisure or business stops in the KOP area

Got the two bedroom suite and prices were reasonable for it The rooms were spacious and clean when we arrived Everything worked as expected within the room and they offered utensils as well which was appreciated

Check in was easy and front desk staff was helpful I did not need any other types of service during my stay The surrounding rooms and area were clean and quiet – no loud banging, parties or anything elseThe only negatives during my stay was the fold out bed mattress had a weird stain on it that I refused to try and figure out what it was and didn’t feel comfortable covering with a sheet to use and just folded it back up The front door to the unit (but not the room itself) also didn’t lock and close fully on its own until you pulled it shut which I would consider to be a safety issue The pool was also covered and closed in the middle of summer

Brian Wolf

It’s a Marriott branded hotel With that in mind you have a certain expectation, especially when the price is around 250 a nightFirst off, the staff was super friendly

Absolutely no complaints there Super friendly and super helpfulThe room Very dated Smelly Door to the room was really funky (see pics) and how was there so much hair on the bathroom ceiling? The beds seemed clean, and were mostly comfortable But the overall impression of the room was just mehThe location was good for me Close enough to drive to anything you need I’m fine with not having things walking distance, but keep in mind you’re driving for anythingHopefully someday they do some updates, or clean a little bit better

Emmitt Wilson IV

Early check-in allowed by resident manager Mollie F That was certainly appreciated after a long drive She was awesome! Very welcoming and pleasant

There were even warm cookies in lobby! The stay was 12 days My room was on the 1st floor by the door Full size fridge, range top & oven and dishwasher Conveniently close to the business location I was attending Clean room, queen size bed, large desk with overhead lights (boss!)

We booked our stay with a special aarp rate with 2pm late check out We verified late checkout upon booking, upon arrival and again the next day It wasn’t until we received a call at 12:15 on checkout day that unless we left by 12:30 they were going to charge us an additional half day

There was no dealing with them, so we scrambled to finish packing up and were out within the hourwe felt completely harassed and annoyed, ruining our weekend This trip was to see familyand had been great until we were treated like squatters (I get turnaround which is why we verified multiple times -the advertised late check out rate, before planning a leisurely departure) our only other issue is the pool was absolutely freezing and the hot tub was broken and drainedSince I am writing the review, I will add that in as well, but I wouldn’t have Written this for that alone Will I book again?

The entire staff and facilities were amazing from the start! I highly recommend staying here We flew overnight and were very eager to check in early We were able to do so with no problem! The cleaning attendants were on top of it! We were never rushed to get out of the room early

Our request for extra towels daily and extra pillows were met with no questions asked It was the first time we have traveled since Covid and they made it the best vacation we have ever had while visiting Philadelphia The cleanliness of the entire hotel was wonderful We would like to thank you Courtyard management and staff for making our stay so amazing!

This could have been a perfect five if it wasn’t for a few things 1 No smart tv

I travel a lot for work and can’t remember the last hotel that I couldn’t log into Netflix or at least see the channel that has the rotating guide of everything on 2 The hit or miss staff One minute they have lively nice accommodating staff at the front the next it is dry dead staff that clearly do not want to be there None of them were rude but just brings the whole mood down 3 No usb equipment in rooms If you need to charge something you better have a block!! I would stay again but I would be prepared

The pool and hot tub were nice, I also like the little “courtyard” in the middle it’s very pretty However my room couldve been updated the bathroom doorknob didn’t work and the door was in poor shape (hole and didn’t close all the way) We also got a pack and play for our son, I recommend bringing your own because the ones they have are badly stained

The staff was friendly and helpful they have a Cafe in the lobby that is overpriced and the food is okay

I am not sure where all the exceptional, 10/10 reviews come from on this hotel, but we did not have a 10/10 experience Not sure if the other rooms may have been any better, but our room was in terrible condition – dirty, dusty and had trash left from previous occupants (plate of partially eaten pizza slices under the bed, random medication/pill and other trash on the floor), mold and dust in the bathroom See included photos

Check-in and checkout were easy, but the attendant always had to be called from the back room Pool and hot tub were good, but they were always short on towels, so they gave us some regular hotel room towels I can’t give this place more than one star based on our experience for the cost of the hotel We’ve stayed in much cheaper places that were a lot cleaner than this We had another family in our group who had to have the hotel switch rooms because of weird stains on the bed Definitely won’t stay here again It’s weird because the other reviews mention the lack of availability of the pool as only negative, but that was really the only positive experience at this hotel, based on price paid for the stay

The staff was very nice but the rooms were old and shabby The sitting room furniture in the room Iwas in should all be replaced, it was not very clean or comfortable The laundry room was old and not very clean

There was a lot of variety at breakfast but only average in taste and presentation I was charged twice for the room and even though they admitted they had charged me twice I had to wait for the person who billed me to get approval before refunding the money In all fairness the credit appeared on my credit card as pending the same day This location is convenient, close to offices and the train but unless you are a business traveller who needs this location I don’t think the amenities or the room are worth the price

It’s getting old I am a die hard Hilton fan and a comfort inn is nicer than this place, (plus it’s cheaper) Our room and most of the back of the first floor, by the pool door, smelled strongly like weed

They are doing renovations soon, but it can’t come soon enough As usual, you now have to ask to have your room refreshed, but even that was a bit mediocre If I only paid $89 for the night, I’d understand But $145 is a bit much, for this type of service

This hotel is extremely dated The rooms look like they were designed by a grandma in the early 2000sThe worst part, and it’s honestly the main reason for the low score, was the absolute stench coming from the shower enclosure

It smelled like really old gym socks, or a wet dog I could barely stand to be in there I tried to take a picture of the smell, but then I remembered that that’s not a thing, however, this bathroom could definitely be used to research this technology in the future, that’s how bad it wasThere is no on-site restaurant which is always a bummer The wifi barely worked, I ended up just using the hot spot on my phone instead The breakfast was decent, and the evening social offered a decent amount of variety to pretty much have an actual dinner during itThis hotel is due for a major upgrade overall
