John Posusta

My wife and I spent two nights in one of the beach view rooms and it was very nice and comfortable The a/c unit probably knocked out any outside noises so no complaints there We met the owner who was running the office and he could not have been more accommodating

I needed a couple bandages for a scraped foot and he gave me several Super nice guy The location is a bit of a walk from downtown but the trolley stop is not far away or the walk is pretty nice too The beach is a down a short path to a public street then some stairs down to the ocean Beach chairs and a couple boogie boards are available free to guests, a nice surprise For the price this is really a nice option and if I were to come back to Laguna this would be the first place I would check for an available room Enjoyed our stayThanks

J. Levy

really great little place The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were nice white linens

Nice towels and awesome shower wish we could have stayed a little bit longer so we could have enjoyed the beach walk but had to be in overnight and go def recommend if you need a centrally located place in Laguna Beach had fridge and microwave

Antelmo Lara

Stayed for a quick 1 day trip with the family and I have to say unbeatable price you get absolutely everything with this place, the peace the view and the spacious room that is renovated Anyone looking to stay anywhere else look no further this place is definitely a little gem PS don’t go based on how the place looks from the outside I almost looked away while booking because of it and now I know it would’ve been a great mistake

this was a great hotel Only stayed two nights so we didn’t get to use the amenities but the pool & hot tub looked great & the inside of the hotel was clean The bed was comfortable & the rooms were in good condition

Nothing too fancy but definitely does job if you’re just out exploring all day Room service was friendly They have a Starbucks right in the lobby along with a bar & restaurant Would stay here again!

Alex Cuevas

This is my default hotel that I go to when I’m in the area They charge a lot for the parking which doesn’t seem to make sense but I guess it’s pretty standard They have a nice bar and they have a nice pool

The rooms are standard that I have experience for the Hilton brand It’s not a super fancy hotel but it’s a good place to stay I think I’m giving it a three-star only because I’m annoyed about how much the parking costs If you take away the parking aspect then it’s a four star

Luis Yudice

It used to be a great place to stay but since COVID, they’ve cut their services and support They still charge you full price but do not clean your room daily You have to ask for cleaning and they don’t always do it

On this stay, they told me they don’t clean rooms on this day so why are you charging me full price Just another way this company is increasing their profits while taking services away from you Also, they cut their housekeeping staff so their the ones keeping all the profit Would recommend staying somewhere else where they take better care of their guest and employees

Jen Warner

This renovated hotel is located only 5 minutes from arguably the best beach in Laguna According to my kids, South Crescent Bay has the highest waves of all the beaches Isis, the manager, was exceedingly friendly and accommodating

Everyone at the hotel was incredibly sweet and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area

Bill Morrow

We spent one night here in June, and everything was wonderful! The room was extremely clean It looked like it had been remodeled recently as the paint looked fresh, and the shower was beautiful! The staff were very friendly and accommodating! Our room had two queen beds with lots of pillows (a must for us!), a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, plenty of storage, lots of charger plug-ins, a balcony, two sinks, tv, and an iron and ironing board Plus, the beds were comfy! The hotel provided free parking and has a swimming pool

We crossed the street and walked down to the Crescent Bay Beach (02 miles) We walked to several other beach areas including Divers Cove, Heisler Park, and Main Beach It is about a mile to walk to the downtown area to hit the restaurants and shops The hotel provides a free breakfast of bagels, yogurt, cereal, and bananas I highly recommend The Art Hotel!

Stephanie Marder

Came in a few minutes late and called the number on the door several times and waited an hour We are now looking for some where to stay this evening THE ATTENDANT, called back within an 90 minutes

She was on her lunch break It is now 1230 pm When she called back we were booking another hotel We can only hope the rooms are nice We are amazed at the lack of timely customer service and frightened by the other reviews we just read

M Nelson

Our time there was very nice, but the room is dated and some of the furniture could use some repair/scratch treatment They could also update the chairs in the room to something a little more comfortable Otherwise, the breakfast was basically continental/American and had some decent choices

The hotel is also conveniently located to shopping and many good restaurants and fast food places I would recommend them to anyone who wants a decent place to stay for a reasonable price

Sue H

My cousin and his wife stayed here to be close to my Mom in Laguna Woods They were given a discount on the room, and breakfast was included They reported it was very nice

There was a fridge in the room and she loved the heat lamp and plush towels in the bathroom! It was very clean and they loved the beautiful grounds They would definitely stay here again

Tommy Savage

Great clean rooms with a so-so continent breakfast, but it is free, so how can I complain The brightest point of the hotel besides it’s cleanliness, great sized rooms and fair prices is the staff that works there They are the most helpful individuals I have ever met

They were always concerned about my needs and did everything they could to take care of everything for me It didn’t matter if it was the morning shift or evening shift they were all fantastic! Thank you ladies and gentlemen for being true professionals!

My car was towed!!! It cost me $56500 to get my car out of the impound lot That was not my big frustration

My first frustration originated out of NO ONE being able to tell me why I was not contacted I registered late in one of the 7 ADA rooms I did not leave the hotel (Seven quick phone calls, asking the night crew)My second frustration originated from not finding anyone to drive me to the impound lot Not one taxi responded My husband asked a friend of his to take me the next dayMy third frustration originated from having no car and no food Did I mention I was diabetic? I mentioned this to the hotel Assistant Manager I was not even offered a protein bar—-nothing Did I mention the restaurant and bar were closed? Not only was I frustrated, I now had a headacheWould I stay here again? NOSonesta wants their guests to feel good staying at one of their properties Do I feel good? NOSonesta wants their team members to “communicate honestly” Did anyone communicate with meNO!!!Sonesta wants to be “synonymous with unrivaled hospitality” Huh????? What did you say??? Did I experience thisThis gets a HELL NO

Well for starters the bed was not made correctly Instead of a comforter there was a fitted sheet in its place It made for a horrible sleep

We also needed some towels so we decided to ask for room service after the third day They said we needed to stay 5 nights to get that service and it has to be scheduled 24 hours in advance On the fourth night my son decided to yell through the door we were out of toilet paper! Soooo I had to walk my happy rear end downstairs to get my own re fill of paper I just it was so weird that a hotel at this price you don’t get your room cleaned, have to get towels and re fill your own soap and toilet paper Not to mention it was a little dirty when we arrived but decided when they service the room we will let them know but that didn’t happen Luckily my wife brought Lysol wipes and cleaned the gross spots and floor herself If you like paying top dollar for a room and doing all your own housekeeping I would say this is definitely the place! Although the breakfast was delightfully good

keisha albert

Very nice hotel, the location is near a bunch of little shops you can walk to and it was near a small park that goes to a nice shopping center, Also only 15 mins from the beach! The hotel itself was clean and spacious had everything you needed to cook! The only reason I gave 3 stars was because the carpet in there was really dirty and brown and had dirt spots all over it definitely needed to be cleaned and was kind of Gross & The couch looked as if it needed to be cleaned as well!!I also would like to mention the breakfast is not great for this location, Not much of a selection you’ll definitely have to go somewhere for breakfast! I’ve been to Hilton suites where the breakfast was amazing a little disappointing in this one!

Audrey Luo

Pros: the hot tub, bigger roomCons: not so clean I found a long white piece of something in the coffee maker filter which looked like a worm (it’s too gross to take a picture)

There’s problem with the sink drainage too and it smelled bad The breakfast was over at 9am, way too early I was lucky to finish my business call at 8:50am so I had the chance to eat a few things The location was not convenient It’s far from the highway and main streets Would not stay there again

The staff is GREAT! I want to make special mention of Lupe Martinez at front desk, my family’s travel plans were constantly changing, our group size kept growing daily and she and her co-workers went above and beyond to accommodate our needs When we needed a bigger room they allowed us to move early in the morning without that horrible gap between check out and check in Extra bedding and towels given no hassle, and the cleaning crew…ON TOP OF THINGS! Smells clean, feels clean, and you see them constantly sanitizing and cleaning the common areas throughout the day

Free breakfast and all rooms have kitchenettes Cozy courtyard area for gatherings Love it here would def stay again

Robyn Ebert

Natasha Thomas

The ice machine continued not to workNo dish detergent upon arrival and the sponge for the dishes was on the floor next to the trash can under the sinkI was told I had to request room cleaning however I didn’t schedule but housekeeping was in my roomBreakfast was ok and lastly as a Honors member I did not receive welcome gifts

Beautiful hotel room The couch is the only downside it’s not great But the view from the patio is stunning

The bed was firm, pillows comfortable, front desk guy was super nice getting us checked in very late Breakfast had some tasty pastries, juice, milk, coffee, yogurt, cereal and boiled eggs Fridge and microwave in the room is a nice addition Very happy with our stay here

Femme Fatale

If I could give a negative rating i would For starters, they didn’t give me the room I booked Second this place is not clean at all

the toilet was dirty and the bathroom smelled Oh and don’t get tricked with the beachfront more like street front There is nothing close to the beach about this place The personal did not comeOff as friendly or helpful at all Breakfast sucks Basically spend your money elsewhere

Marycruz Serrano

We booked a beachfront suite for our anniversary An hour in the suite my fiance comes out of the bathroom soaking because water was pouring out of the ceiling They moved us to another “suite” before we saw it they told us it was going to be better and bigger

It wasn’t it was partial view and smaller Which is fine but they still wanted to charge us the same I looked on their website it was at least a $30 difference per nightThe next day I’m in my room and a man came in my room through the balcony, please note this happened on the 3rd floor Its been a hassle trying to get this fixed We stayed 4/13-4/15 They really didn’t seem to care or take anything into consideration

Pros: Great location, beautiful venue (roof top), affordable, staff were beyond kind / gracious / helpful I celebrated a wedding here and loved everything except the roomCons: Rooms were small, ocean view was blocked by cables / electrical wire

No chair for ocean view window Nail sticking out of bed head board Mold growing on bathroom walls Small fridge that didn’t work No coffee maker available upon request They didn’t allow us to have early check in and made us wait until 4 pm for check in Despite this the room seemed very dirty other than the bedding changed

Maia Aman

Wonderful place to stay! Historic and quaint charm with laid-back vibe Staff were very friendly and everything was clean The location is amazing as it’s just steps from the beach with lots of dining and shops around

They have a coffee bar with pastries for breakfast in the morning and you can enjoy their rooftop with great ocean views

I have stayed at Casa Del Camino many times for both work and pleasure It’s a nice little hotel, with cozy rooms, friendly staff, and a good breakfast It’s close to many shops, the beach, and restaurants

Despite it’s proximity to the main street, it’s also relatively quiet Some of the rooms may be a little small for families, but for couples, it is idealThere’s a reason I keep going back I highly recommend

It presents a fancy place when you 1’st walk in It’s an older hotel, room needed minor fixes, we just did without Bathroom door would not lock, and sliding door track was held down with tape and came up with use

The beds are good come with 4 pillows and comfortable Nice cold fridge, but no microwave It was fine for our needs, and they accept pets at $50 a night

Susan Ranahan

About 80 women were there for a celebratory luncheon The service was outstanding and all did an excellent job attending to so many with so few The food was served hot and fresh, and the servings were not skimpy

Taste and presentation were great! There was a lot going on and timing was important The microphones worked, the table set up was lovely and it was a very enjoyable time

Brian C

Unfortunately, didn’t even get the opportunity to stay here Had a family emergency and needed a room for the night For some reason the website was allowing us to book any room, so when I called to book the room, I was quoted significantly higher than their own site

When I asked why, she said we needed to book on the site to get that price, even though I explained that the site wasn’t working Again she said we needed to book on the site and to have a nice dayclick Hopefully they will get their site working so others won’t run into the same experience

This hotel is connected to 14 West which is actually the nice hotel You can get stuck in an outdated, old room here when you expect to stay at the nicer boutique hotel next door Should not be called a Holiday Inn as all the signage labels it 14 West Hotel

Also all some of the pictures on both their pages are the same which is misleading

Lisa Gulino

Okay this place is great location right next to a Ralph’s so you can get some food if you want to bring it back to the room where it has a fridge and it’s right across from a beach access rooms a little small where if you have four people in the room and the doors and the fridge door hit the bed so everything’s tight but as long as you’re not spending like all your time in there it’s fine the pool is absolutely beautiful and a salt water pool they definitely take care of it and maintain it throughout the day beautiful landscaping the only two things I would have to say about this property is their key cards are not the best they’re constantly not working we had this problem and also I saw other people having this problem in addition to that you have to request room service it’s not something that they just do and even then if you don’t request it like the day before they might tell you know that they can’t do room service because it’s already scheduled for all the other rooms or something so they don’t have time to do your room which is super odd and inconvenient

MissMaris024

My only complaint is the price but laguna hotels are expensive regardless! I spent 177 a night Charming place I like the open concept with the pool in the center

The pool is warm and salt water Nice seating area around it Lobby was filled with coffee all the time Rooms were nice and clean Ours did not have a moldy smell as others complained We were on the first floor No elevator so we had to lug my 50 pound bag up and down the stairs Room is a good size and we had a king bed Carpet needs replacing and some of the wallpaper was chipping Though it felt very homey And its in an excellent location 5 min walk to laguna beach and main area There are trolley stops along the main road too I will def stay here again Wish they had a hot tub! They could easily add one in where the gazebo is Also the fitness room needs a make over

Overall, my experience here at the Hampton Inn Suites was a good one Clean room, great breakfast, and nice view from the room The housekeepers did a great job with the room being as clean as it can be

I will still give this hotel a 5 stars since the hotel, itself, was a very nice one at that However, my only issue was the front desk receptionist I wish I had got his name so that the manager can talk to him about being more precise when it comes to booking online All I know is that he is a Latino man and he was a little rude and disorganized Anytime I check in with the Hilton hotels, I always come at 3:00pm sharp When I checked in, I got this sweet young woman who checked me in and was very precise about the pricing (even the ridiculous 24$ parking per night) and she was fairly new at her job And, the Latino man was next to her trying to inform her that she kept doing certain things wrong So, mind you, when it was time to check out, I checked out like I usually do and they usually let me know that everything is set and fine then I go on my day That same Latino man was informing me that the booking online didn’t necessarily take my card; even though, my email said I had a reservation for that day and they already charged my credit card I usually check it just in case for reasons like this He then goes and tells me that next time I should double check that and inform the front desk receptionist to other hotels to make sure that my credit card went in thoroughly in the system Like what? I never had a problem with my credit card in the past and I know it still works I never have to do that I have been to many Hilton hotels and it goes so smoothly He was trying to prove a point that didn’t make sense or was not clear Please talk to the Latino man (and I am a Latino man myself) and if I knew his name then I would of said his name, but I forgot to ask him what his name was My hotel room was perfect, but he is just awful and I needed to mention this Let’s hope my credit card was not charged twice or I will have a problem with him myself

Cathy Nicdao

Clean, organized, friendly environment and more importantly everything works I had to booked my room last minute since my first one wasn’t great I checked in, everything was explained thoroughly

The next day, I see some people cleaning the rooms, the hallways and even the people that worked at the breakfast buffet checks on the food and immediately refill it without anybody asking The turn the table around right away too Checked out was so fast and easy as well They made you feel welcome and they were all helpful My overall experience was amazing Hopefully, it’s the same treatment to all their facilities cuz I am looking forward to checking in again

Melissa Mastrangelo

Overall had a really nice stay here The room was clean, breakfast was tasty, and it was quiet on the top floor All the hotels in the area seem to charge a parking fee, so don’t forget to mention if you have a car parked

It’s $24/night which I thought was pretty steep, but it looks to be average for the area I’d recommend staying here if in the area!

This was a lovely hotel with amazing amenities The fitness center is free to use if you’re staying at the hotel, and it’s not your standard hotel gym The fitness center is essentially its own full blown gym, with a great pool to boot

Rooms are clean with a lot of space The only thing that was off was the cleaning staff kept asking when we were leaving so they can clean the room despite us having late checkout

Stayed 3 nights here while in town for some meetings Everyone in the area knows about this hotel because of the gym which is attached to the hotel The hotel is in a good area with a parking garage next door which is $27 a day

Rooms were a good size with very comfortable beds However there a few things that could use improvement First, the bathroom was very dimly lit Would help if there was a light in the actual shower Also there was no safe in the room There may be one in the room but I didn’t see oneIf you’re a gym person, the gym is legit Has most types of equipment along with nice locker room with steam, sauna, and jacuzzi They also have a nice lap pool outsideThe bar and restaurant are good and there is happy hour starting around 4 which is fun to take advantage of The food at the restaurant was actually quite good If I’m in the area I’ll be back here

I have no patience with being charged full price and then getting the “no service” speech upon check in! They claim staffing issues…Additionally, I noticed that the two complimentary waters that come with every Marriott property on planet earth were not in my room I called the front desk and they said I had to come down to get them Irritating, but fine

But then it was like trying to convince a toddler to share their Tonka truck when I asked for more water since there was no daily service to replenish them He told me I could come back to the lobby and refill them at the water stationLook… I hate giving bad reviews Most of mine are positive However, my recent streak with Marriott brands is making me question my loyalty!Anyway… this is a great gym with a waterless hotel with no service attached… the tacos were pretty good too…

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days with my family and I am very satisfied with my visit The rooms were big, clean, and had a microwave and refrigerator We also had breakfast every morning and the options were nice (eggs, biscuits, muffins, cereal, bacon, etc)

The location also had a FREE Happy Hour which changed daily but had chips, salad, cheese, wine, beer, and pizza one night It’s great to grab a snack before relaxing by the pool or in the jacuzzi which are both well-maintained and clean The only issue we faced was with the early check in fee which was $3000 dollars (could easily be avoided) Overall, great hotel, perfect location close to the ocean and plenty of places to eat for a reasonable price

We really enjoyed our stay The hotel was clean and accommodating The location was perfect for us

My suggestion at this time is since we were staying for an extended period of time, I would prefer not to have to ask for extra towels, wish they were just left for us, also since we were on vacation we would have liked breakfast to end later than 9AMWe would book again The staff was friendly and helpful

The hotel provides a nice breakfast which includes an omelet bar The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpfulThe rooms were very nice and clean

The location for me was great since I visited people in laguna woods The hotel has a happy hour with free snacks and drinks every day I was impressed with this hotel since they tried to please their guests which is rare these days My only complaint is that I could not book for the entire week I stayed since the hotel was full and the room ac was very loud

This was my first time staying at this darling property I am a Laguna Beach gal and this is truly a hidden gem The grounds give you a feeling of being on an island

Very quaint, quiet, clean and tropical It surpasses all the big fancy-schmancy hotels by far!!! The upper deck that overlooks the pool was my go to place, with the cutest 2 rocking chairs to share a bottle of wine and watch the sunset The owner Chris goes above and beyond to accommodate, always a text or phone call away I will definitely be telling my friends about this amazing spot and cant wait to come back Thank you Chris Keller for 3 very relaxing, enjoyable days

My wife and I (and pup) found this hotel last minute and couldn’t be happier The place was freshly renovated with nice Adirondack chairs outside our first floor room The pool was great and only 5 minutes to the beach

It’s unassuming from the road but once on site you will not be disappointedWe can’t wait to be back!

We stayed at the Laguna Beach Lodge in order to attend the Winter Sawdust Festival There is a trolley stop right by this hotel and we took that to the festival I hadn’t stayed at this hotel for about 10 years – WOW

may I just say this is an absolute top choice to stay in Laguna The whole place got renovated a couple of years ago and it was so nice we truly did not want to leave The interior design is beautiful and our room had an ocean view There was a kitchenette that had more than what we needed for our quick weekend stay The owner Chris responds to any and all concerns very quickly Plenty of towels, beautiful decor, and perfect location This hotel is across the street from one of my favorite beaches – Treasure Island Don’t hesitate to stay at the Laguna Beach lodge!
