Amanda Sunnarborg

We enjoyed our stay at Clubhouse The room was clean, greeting staff were very kind, breakfast was nice, pool was fun, cost of room was reasonable! I liked that we could walk out to our car for loading and unloadingMy feedback is that the room was really dark – wood, blankets, pillows, comforter, chair, curtains, everything was dark

It would be lovely if you can exchange the comforter and curtains to white to brighten it up Also 2 of the 3 towels that we had were shredding along all the edges and really flat and not soft

Danita Bitz

Very nice facility Spacious gathering area Beautiful outdoor green space with tables and chairs to enjoy the North Dakota outdoors

Staff was very friendly and helpful Rooms are very spacious Kids loved the pool Porter Creek restaurant is very good This was an excellent hotel to host our daughter’s wedding guests Sarah was so awesome to work with Everyone had a great weekend Thank you to all the staff!!!

I stayed here May 2020 for a COVID friendly birthday stay-cation The employee on the phone that helped make my reservation was incredible She assured me room service would be available and that a continental breakfast was up and running

Upon check in, I learned none of that to be true My room was not cleaned, there was nail polish some in the tub, and bird droppings on the cushions on the outside terrace I asked if other rooms were available and I was told none were It was a very disappointing golden birthday celebration, and I will not be recommending or staying here again

Stayed here for one night on our way home to Canada from a road trip Checking in, Tiffany was super friendly, and gave us all the info we needed for our stay The hotel itself is modern, clean and well kept

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable Pool area was well maintained (quite a large pool too!) although the chlorine levels were very high in the hot tub Breakfast was fantastic with lots of hot and cold options (one of the best free hotel breakfasts we have had!) We had never stayed at a La Quinta hotel before but we will definitely choose this location next time we are in Fargo! Great hotel and great price!

Myron Jackson

Overall it was clean staff was friendly! Only 3 stars because reason we came was for kids pool it was closed so we were not able to use the pool which should have been told to customers or a discount offered! The bigger side was over run by a sports team! Until late Our room overall clean however my daughter while having a shower pulled a big gross wade of hair out of the drain! There’s no microwaves in the room! I didn’t get a chance to address front desk as there was a big gathering of people that took over the lobby and breakfast area making it uncomfortable to address anything

Do I think it was worth $250 a night with a broken pool no microwave no! Would I stay there in future yes but I would call in advance to make sure no large group of people and pool is working! Some groups forget their not only ones in hotel we all pay good money like them to be there

I recently stayed at this holiday inn 4/13/22 I went down to the reception desk No one was at the desk

I waited and tried to get the attention of the hotel staff Said hello at the side of the desk Then someone shouts your gonna have to wait Man! I got whatever I needed from the desk Went up the elevator then decided to come back down I asked the hotel receptionist Steve shuls, or Steven shuls who else is back there? Ask him who shouted your gonna have to wait man? Then asked him is that how you greet your hotel guests? He then raised he voice and puffed his chest out stating you where going to walk into my private office I told him I was merely trying to get someone’s attention He said he was making a reservation over the phone Then I asked him you could of said anything to me besides raising your voice and telling me I’m gonna have to wait man! I was going to proceed in telling him To correct his attitude Told him it was alright because he was arguing and getting loud with me Told him it was alright don’t worry about it Didn’t sleep well after unnecessarily getting barked at Worst hotel experience I have ever had Overall the hotel is very nice but didn’t really feel welcome at this particular holiday inn Definitely won’t ever come back to this hotel

We were there for a wedding All staff were so friendly Rooms were clean

Usually I feel like I need to clean my room when I stay in any hotel and I normally do, but I didn’t feel like I had to with this hotel so I didn’t which was nice The room smelt fresh and clean and didn’t smell like a hotel room at all Elevators were nice and big and wall to wall mirrors and kept clean The reception area was nice and relaxing and everything is nicely updated

Kiley Conklin

This staff is top notch, in regards to professionalism and service I was always greeted and treated kindly throughout my stayThe room was extremely clean and the gym was fully stocked with AC that blasted

Thank you for such a great travel experience

J Lopez (JLo)

This was a nice hotel Although throughout our stay we would feel a slight shaking of what seemed to be the whole hotel It was similar to the shaking that can happen when a washing machine is on spin cycle

Our room may have been above the laundry area, which might explain it, but I don’t actually know for sureThe pool is warm enough that you didn’t have to ease yourself in to get used to the temperature And the hot tub was nice and hot The pool area was clean and appeared well taken care ofHilton garden inns don’t offer free breakfast, but they do have free coffee in the morning until about 11:00 am there were beer and cans of wine available to buy at the shop behind the front desk I assume you can get those things 24 hours a day Additionally there were the usual microwavable snacks, chips, crackers, candy and non-alcoholic drinksI recommend this hotel, unless you’re looking for free breakfast

Only reason I’m not saying great is because the pool was closed all day & was told it would reopen in the morning, but was not!Rooms were very clean and spaciousHad kitchenettes in the room, with a hot plate available for check out at front desk with no charge!Breakfast was very nice Had a great selection

Not worth the price at all The lobby and halls smell terrible and they tried to use little frebreeze car clip scents on the vents but that didn’t stop the sewage smell I understand the restaurant and lounge being closed so maybe it is closer to worth it once those open again

The deck on the 4th floor is probably nice when the weather is better, but the hot tub wasn’t working and you couldn’t even really go out there due to the snow It would have been nice to have at least a small path cleared so we could check it out, but again it was cold and a lot of snow so it’s understandable Overall the room was fine, but the shower didn’t drain very well so I ended up in ankle deep in water Bed was pretty squeaky too If the price was closer to the surrounding hotels in the same class it might have felt like it was worth it, but it seemed like they were going for swanky but came up short

Adam Morris

Staying at the Hotel Donaldson is such a no-brainer decision! Wonderful rooms, wonderful service, very personable staff, super clean, great location, great amenities Honestly makes me want to move to Fargo so I can staycation here on the regGreat gym downstairs (probably the nicest hotel gym I’ve ever seen, with a punching bag, universal machine, treadmill, jump rope (and space to do it), dumbbells, etc

Cool local art and artifactsWe got in late and staff let us leave our car out front until we could get something to eat before the nearby restaurants closedWould drive 1,000 plus miles for this hotel again!

As somebody that will be travelling to Fargo 2 or 3 times a year, it will be a place I’ll try to stay for sureThe only knocks I haveno microwave! My wife didn’t like the fact that the shower glass wasn’t smoked or otherwise glazed so it wasn’t clearshe said it just felt weird The shower itself was very nice

Crista Meachem

This hotel needs an update We were greeted with a strange smell the minute we stepped into our room Good thing we only stayed for one night before heading to MSP

The heater barely worksThe only reason I am giving this 3 stars instead of 2 is because their café makes excellent breakfast My family was incredibly impressed with how tasty our food was

We stayed here during a family emergency while my mother-in-law was in the Fargo Hospital Angela and Erica at the bar were superb! Will, the hotel chef served us delicious food He even makes his own home made ice cream toppings

Ben at the front desk was extremely accommodating in every way He made sure we had the correct rooms and took care of our every need This is were we will stay at during our future Fargo visits

Jo Caps

It was modern enough except for the tub which was very worn Location was great for shopping and restaurants and there was little to no noise outside, which this hotel says can be an issue and provides ear plugs to accommodate The ear plugs should be used for the actual hotel

Walls and floors/ceilings are paper thin People walking sounds like stomping and you can hear voices and tvs through out When we checked in there was no direction given to us at all The lady was silent She gave us our key and didn’t even wish us a good stay I had to ask where the elevators were We came down later and the other lady at the counter was extremely knowledgeable – almost like she has worked there for a while We eavesdropped and got a great second hand welcome from her, indirectly Also be aware you will not get room service if you are staying for 2 nights Would have been nice to have been told this but we found out the hard way when we got to our room at 9pm and it wasn’t touched At check out they said that Sheraton stopped offering for 2 night stays So I told him it would have helped to have known that (or any details) at check in, and provided the feedback from that experience I doubt I would come back for the price we paid… it would be considered far too expensive for the experience

Mahmoud elJazzar

Rooms were clean but I could easily hear ever word my neighbor would say (0 sound proofing)The room was clean but had some weird smell that I really didn’t likeThe restaurant inside was closed due to July 4th (but it was closed since Friday!!! )

So, for those added breakfast in their room rate technically paid for nothing

Overall, I was very impressed with the Jasper Hotel in downtown Fargo It is centrally located in the historic downtown area and is easy to get to and from The rooms and lobby are very nicely decorated and well maintained – much nicer than any chain hotel you would stay at

My only reason for not rating it five stars was because there was debris on the floor of the room from a previous guest that should have been cleaned up when vacuuming that hadn’t been I would absolutely stay here again the next time I’m in Fargo

Olivia Ward

This hotel is phenomenal The beds are super comfy, the decor is modern and cozy, and the location in the heart of downtown Fargo makes everything walkableEnjoyed great interactions with the staff

July 30, 2022 Unprofessional front desk manager is uncaring and lacks the expertise necessary to provide a good guest experience Manager say its their policy to overbook and if you book through a third party they will bump you into whatever room they feel like and you have no say in the matter

Its take it or leave! And they say it exactly like that If you drive for a long distance or fly you might find yourself out in the cold and your vacation ruinedDon’t complain or get upset if that happens or even try to explain why you chose that room type because they will call the cops and kick you out Your innocent children will not be spared from being traumatized because the front desk manager is well trained for that The Hilton prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences every time but this location Homewood Suites at West Fargo sucks! Beware !

Ga T

OMG this place is horrible horrible horrible At my arrival I found some dirty dishes in the kitchen In addition, in the morning, to have cold water, One has to wait something like 20 minutes with the open cold water because in the system there is hot water instead

Shower leaking water Noisy because each room has a communicating door with the room near by Used as convention center as well Front desk totally useless Mainly used for conventions and by families with kids, thus if you are a Pro and need to put in some sleep to be effective the day after, this might not be the place for you Deeply Disappointed !!! BTW I emailed the general manager KN , not even an answer, this is how much they care for customers!

Great service and spacious rooms Kids loved the pool area and the games they have in the breakfast room Room prices can’t be beat for what you get! The staff was very friendly and attended any needs that we had without a problem

We have stayed here 3 different times and have had no problems each time Beds are comfy with lots of plug-ins for the whole family It has microwaves, fridge and coffee stations in each room We will definitely be staying here anytime we come through Fargo

Mshopper50

Hotel staff that greeted us were friendly We stayed for hot tubs, pool, and breakfast included HUGE disappointment! Hot tubs were closed

As soon as we turned on the slide water the chlorine fumes became unbearable All of us had burning eyes and little boy was coughingwhat was supposed to be fun turned into crying because of his eyes, coughing, and disappointment from having to leave the pool We also developed stuffy noses afterwards until we left I went to use a towel and every single one I grabbed was stained with what looked like either poop or blood🤢, so walked back with out drying off Towels in our room were also stained Breakfast was bare bones Plain donuts tasted horrible and coffee was almost gone I had to stand and wait for it to drip out a 1/2 a cup We ended up having to go out for breakfast, so no expense saved there I would never stay here again!

JUSTIN LETANDRE

Bed bugs, several families had been bitten including us We stayed up all night and couldn’t sleep Was so horrible

We had our little children we were watching all night just so they wouldn’t get bit We are still in shock from the situation You go somewhere expecting a beautiful experience and this happens They did assist us and move us in the middle of the night, but now every itch scares us We’re are tramatized from the whole experience

Staff was courteous and efficient Room was clean and very comfortable I had just spent the day getting tests in the hospital and was very tired

Was very grateful to walk in to a room that was just the right temperature with a comfortable chair to sit and eat my dinner, a clean bathtub to soak in and a clean comfortable bed to sleep in Thank you to the staff

We stayed in a king suite and it was nice and roomy The counters had crumbs on them so not cleaned that well My daughters family stayed in 2 queens and found dirty tissues in their bed

They were offerd a different room but it also had crumbs and was very noisy They did have fun at the water park We were woke up at 7:30 by a barking dog So just be aware of that when you book

I’ve never stayed at a worse Hampton Inn before I arrived to a dirty room and my door was left open Having the door open was scary and my kids freaked out and felt unsafe

Once inside we realized there was hair in the shower, no liners in the garbage cans, bedspreads falling out of the duvet, chips all over the floor, no shampoo, no washcloths It was all grossI figured it was probably a one time thing and I let the front desk know about the situation I was staying two nights and made sure to let the morning staff know that I needed my room clean today That afternoon, I arrived to a dirty room, yet again I finally asked for a vacuum and cleaning supplies and I cleaned my room myself I took out the garbages I cleaned the shower I refilled the towels and wiped down all the surfaces to MAKE SURE they were clean Management should be embarrassedIt’s not just my room that was dirty and chaotic… in the two days and nights that I’ve been here, no one has vacuumed the hallways and no one has swept or mopped the entire downstairs or inside the elevators ALL of the floors of this hotel are beyond dirty and gross The doors to the rooms are also dirty and need to be scrubbed with some warm soapy water at the very minimum I don’t know who is running this hotel but it seem like they don’t really care if the building is clean I was under the impression that this is a one time mistake and they’re really sorry, BUT then I read all of the other reviews and now I realize that it’s a problem that management has had for monthsJust know that this hotel is dirty and gross and has been like this for a few months at least Management is aware that they have issues and they can’t figure it out either or else they don’t careI am in disbelief at the price of this hotel compared to how gross it is and it’s amazing that there is no manager or anyone here I can voice my concerns to because they aren’t here on the weekends Like, come on

We have stayed at several Hampton Ins and have always been pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the rooms Unfortunately, this location left a lot to be desired Our room smelled quite musty upon arrival and I noted that the bed linens didn’t look to have been changed

However, what was the worst was the mold and slime coating the shower walls I took a washcloth and wiped down the walls and was horrified at what came off I spent the first part of our stay wiping everything down Again- pretty gross Before we left I made sure to strip the bed and empty all the garbage cans At least whoever gets the room next will have a cleaner stay than what we experienced 🙁

We booked this hotel for three nights for our family as I was being admitted to the hospital on one of the days The location was great, very close to the hospital When booking our room and even at check in, we were not told about the pool being closed completely for our stay

With 3 young children, a pool was a must for us The air conditioner seemed to rattle and didn’t blow cold air, our room was very warm all night We ended up canceling two of our nights and moving to a different hotel for the rest of our stay The staff was very friendly on the phone and at check in

Upon arrival things were great We got to our room and noticed there was a lot of garbage in the halls – was sure housekeeping probably needed to just make their rounds This trash remained in the hall for the rest of our stay and was still there upon check out

The evening of our first stay we turned on the air conditioner, when coming back from dinner we noticed an awful smell in the room and started having a sneezing fit We assume the musty smell was mold within the air conditioning We contacted the front and Alexis was wonderful, switched our room and brought our new keys to our room She was so helpful Upon switching rooms, we start unpacking and notice garbage, old cups and used tissues throughout the room We cleaned the room, checked the beds and proceeded goto bed When checking out this morning – Haven seemed to be less than phased by our experience, proceeded to print my receipt and ask “well what do you want done about it? You want some points?” I told her it was irritating to arrive in an obviously dirty room, and that I would appreciate something being done Her reply was “well the manager will be here tomorrow You can call them then” Horrible customer service upon her part – and stating she couldn’t refund/do anything so id have to “call a manager” No matter how comfortable the bed, or accommodating one person may be, it tainted our entire stay Professionalism needs to be across the board, and all employees should be able to handle situations it they are the ones checking out the customers

This hotel was not originally built as a Hilton property…and it shows Hilton took it over but they need to invest in it I have stayed many times in the past

Cleanliness since COVID has really gone down hill Carpet is pretty gross They only put 2 bath towels in the room If you are a larger party this is a problemUpside pillows are great and the hotel is in a nice locationOverall disappointing for a Hilton property though

We have used this hotel for few years before pandemic It was greatThis was our first visit after the pandemic and man did the things change

Hotel is being run down, pool was filthy, service was slow, and worst of all there free breakfast was so bad we went to a restaurant to have a breakfast as there wasn’t one No waffles, stale bread and muffins, no hot food at all Service was poor Needless to say this was our last time in this place Time to find a new one

The hotel was okay itself, the room was good but the floor needed vacuumed in are room otherwise was great Only reason for a five and not a four is because we had come with family for a concert last week an the rooms weren’t done all of the way when we showed just around 3 however the front desk lady was great and tried to make up for it and did apologize and was running around to get us each a room as they were getting done and really kept up with what she had as far as rooms as well as having a guy yelling at her for helping customers with a full line in front of her, i believe her name was Krista Aside from that issue with rooms not being ready tho the hotel was good for what it was, it had nice size rooms an also close to some food and restaurants as well as close to the interstate

My brother had a room also which was immaculate so all in all I do recommend this hotel

We’ve been here for a week now and will be for another week or so I’d like to say that the guy who posted 3 days ago about the breakfast must not understand waiting 5 minutes to restock the great breakfast they offer every day is worth it Every staff mber here is amazing

This place is wonderful and it’s a shame that impatient and entitled people that can’t wait a minute or two, can leave a bad review Absolutely NOTHING bad to say about this hotel Id recommend it to anyone
