After staying at the Marriott residence inn one night, we checked out and moved to this hotel The Marriott is old, moldy, poorly maintained with no working pool Homewood was great

Nice, clean, accommodating You can walk to convenience store or harps grocery also There’s a nice green area in the back, and the road to the airport made for a nice walk It was good and will stay again as we frequently travel to Fort Smith

I know the attached photo is not your typical hotel shot, but after my HUNDREDS of hotel nights over 20 years, I was pleasantly surprised during this stay: my room had a real, functional ceiling fan! I slept like a baby! The room was clean, properly stocked, supplied with kitchen pots and pans, and reasonably priced I spent the night before in another hotel in town then unexpectedly had to stay another night, so choose this location I really, really enjoyed my single night here

I’ll definitely return next time I have to stay in Fort Smith on business

This was the nicest motel/hotel room I think I’ve been in There were 3 queen sized beds, a recliner, and lots of space in the room Everything was very clean and updated

I also used and appreciated the laundry room and ice machine Front desk clerk was very nice and great to work with-she even had our room ready early when we were stranded in Roland during an ice storm I highly recommend

Savannah Matias-Morales

SUPER QUICK CHECK IN PROCESS!The lady at the desk was EXTREMELY nice The room smelled a little weird (idk if it was the cleaner they used) I just left my door open for a few minutes to air it out 🙂 One bed was comfortable and the other wasn’t at all I just made kids take that bed

Pool was perfect size for the kiddos All and all it is perfect for a quick stay while traveling

This place is so cute

I loved the story I got behind it The lady working the day shift (brown hair with a ponytail) was so helpful and accommodating to my needs They have 18 wheeler parking with purchase of a stay Unfortunately I was not able to have the breakfast, I had to roll out at midnight Price is right, felt like I stayed the night at grammies

The shower is a slip and fall waiting to happen With uneven shower pans And no anti slip material I would suggest not staying at this location

I informed the management in the morning of this problem which they had no concern The 2 young girls working in the front desk were very unprofessional And poorly trained The breakfast food is poorly served and undercooked Which is a health issue Stay at your own risk and I hope you have a good lawyer in case anything happens

Melinda Medlin

This hotel smells and feels very new (have no idea if it actually is or not) but the rooms are clean and nice and the lobby is very clean and put together The rooms are small but we knew and expected that since we are just there to sleep Breakfast was good and kept well stocked all morning

Staff was nice and helpful when making reservations and checking in Good experience all around

Mike Dee

Nice new hotel with a great layout and location with plenty of places to eat around the area The layout of the rooms was perfect and the walk in shower was very nice The air conditioning worked great and a small fridge and microwave are included in the rooms

The breakfast was alright Not a ton of quality options The oatmeal was super runny and the eggs were pretty sad The breakfast is really the only downside to this hotel The gym has some good quality treadmills and free weights Although the 25 lb dumbbells were missing The bbq place down the street is outstanding so make sure you check them out

Emma Niebauer

I had to wait a few moments for someone to be present at the front desk, but they were very polite and accommodating once I was checked in This hotel is conveniently located, the price point is right, our room was extremely clean & the bed was very comfortable The spacious shower was a plus! The complimentary breakfast was sufficent and fulfilling

I would definitely stay here again & recommend to others

Room stayed cold throughout visit, which I haven’t seen often in my travels It was greatly appreciated during our summer visitHOWEVER, all of the common areas of the hotel (lobby and hallways) felt like there was no A/C

Breakfast can do in a pinch, but nothing great Biscuits were the only good thing there Even the cereal and milk tasted offStaff is pretty friendly though We had some raucous neighbors down the hall and we could hear a staff member tell them there was a noise complaint Thankful that the staff acts on thoseWish there had been a towel rack in the bathroomParking isn’t the greatest Spots in the back are tight The two paths on either side of the hotel are small enough that I don’t think two vehicles could pass by each other, unless they were both SmartCarsIf I needed a hotel in Fort Smith again, this La Quinta wouldn’t be my first option but it wouldn’t cause a bad day if it was the only one available

Debbie Cusic

Convenient location of the Google maps had issues finding the main entrance The check-in was delightful My request was accommodated graciously

The parking in front of the facility is a little tight but there’s plenty in the back The room was clean, no issues found Bed was comfortable The basic room coffee maker with the little packet The mini fridge kept my water cold A plus that it did not have a lot of those annoying lights throughout the room

We have stayed here multiple times The staff is always great and very accommodating We have two small dogs that we bring with us

The only reason I cannot give this hotel a 5 is because there are several rooms that need maintenance, mostly in the bathrooms The beds are pretty comfortable and the linens are always clean We stay in king window suites usually and they have a nice sofa/ottoman along with a desk and desk chair BTW, there are no microwave ovens in your room so plan accordingly

Louie Trivett

The staff was Awesome! To say I travel often is an understatement, and I have stayed at many different hotels, but I can honestly say that this hotel from the moment I walked in made me feel like family! The young lady at the front desk Kerensa was very helpful and welcomed me with a wonderful hello and a smile, which makes a world of difference to me! This young lady went out of her way to explain everything to me, and telling me about some of the local attractions that were around! Made me feel like family!I have been here for two day so far and I’m staying for 25 more because of business but I can honestly say that everyone here treats me like they have known me foreverThe hotel is wonderful the staff from the hostess to the nice ladies at the bar and kitchen as well as housekeeping go above and beyond! All I can say if you are needing a place to call home for a night, week or 27 days The Courtyard in Fort Smith is the place you need to be! I know that this will be the place I will return to whenever I’m in the area!Marriott should use this hotel as an example setter for all other because this staff and hotel is special!

Beachy T

Attended a meeting here for a couple of days I didn’t stay at the hotel so I can’t say anything about the rooms They served a buffet lunch the first day which featured the typical ‘seminar’ chicken or beef, salad, a pasta station, etc

Parking was ample And it’s basically across the street from the jail so, there’s that Overall it was fine

To be honest, I was very disappointed with my stay at this property When I  checked into my room, the first thing I found was damp carpet It got worse when I found a dirty wash cloth hanging on the curtain rod in the bathroom

There were a few bugs in the tub that would come and go alsoThe staff was very nice but seemed a bit forgetful I went to the front desk and asked for more coffee packs They couldn’t find any but said they would bring some right up – I never did get the extra coffee My sister had left a basket of fruit at the front desk that was to be given to me at check in I wasn’t aware that she had done that but when she asked me later if I had received it, I hadn’t When I arrived back at the hotel that evening, I asked about it and the front desk couldn’t find it so I never got that eitherThe fireplace in the room didn’t work nor did the phone I was unable to access the internet for a bit but they did fix that – apparently my reservation was put in under my first name instead of my lastAll in all, there were a lot of issues

I give this place a zero Aside from the hard bed, hot rooms and horrible water pressure- we awoke after our second night finding 3 roaches in the room on the floors I killed one with a towel and took it to the front desk and the girl behind the counter claiming to be the manager flat out refused to give us a refund for the 3rd night because we didn’t give enough notice we were leaving

Towel in hand with roach on it she began to argue it was a water bug!!!! Seriously I asked several times to speak to anyone above her but in her mind she was the only person running everything There was a card for the general manager on the counter so I asked if I would be able to reach her right then and she said so I called the number, then she smiled and said it was the number to the hotel I explained I would find someone to speak with and her reply was she would tell them that my husband gave her a different reason for us leaving to prevent us to get a refund for the next night I could not believe it, this was like a reality show or something Worlds worst customer service or something Needless to say I called the reservation line hoping to get some one to listen and make it right which I did, sorta I again explained the situation so she looked up the reservation and asked me several times if the lady was refusing to assist me with the situation The woman on the phone was very helpful and apologized sincerely for the actions of this young lady I’m waiting to see if the fee for the last night will be refunded but honestly that’s not my major complaint This front desk person who has no skill in customer service or resolution training was flat out rude and hateful Companies should never hire out of desperation, this is solid proof Just know if you do decide to risk it- you may find roaches in your bags one your make it to your destination and the front desk won’t blink an eye

This is a wonderful place to stay while you are in Fort Smith You could not ask for better customer service

The staff are all friendly and helpful They will do their best to meet any request you might have The room is nice and clean The pool is quiet refreshing on a hot day The food was good and the bar was open But above all the people are exceptional

Timothy Jelavich

I have no idea why this has a 4 star hotel rating I booked this hotel as it was rated as a 4-star and the price was better than I could have gotten with my Hilton diamond price I travel for work and cover 5 states in the south central region of the US

Unfortunately, if it looks too good to be true then it probably isFirst the good: the staff was amazingly friendly and got me checked in quickly The aesthetics are appealing from the lobby and it smelled ok down thereNow the bad: the 4th floor room smells like my freshman dorm room in Miami Musty and full of a mildew smell that I haven’t gotten used to 3 hours into this stay There are mold stains on the ceiling and a wet stain in the closet on the ceiling One of the beds has an odd yellow brown streak on the comforter, I bring my own sheets and such for this very reason and will be sleeping on the other bed The table next to the chair looks like it was picked up from the local thrift store and has pieces missing The interior of both bathroom and hallway doors are dirty as well I’ve only stayed in one place as bad as this and won’t be returning I’m really debating paying for a room at an alternative hotel out of my own pocket because the smell is that bad

Dan P

Stayed for a night while in town for business Checkin was great Rooms were clean

AC and elevators went out while we were at dinner Came back and had to climb 6 flights of stairs And ended up in a hot room Sometime during the night power was restored to AC and elevators Was to hard to sleep and a hard bed added to the discomfort I will try another place next visit to town

The good – Easy to find, they let us check in early, professional employees, super comfy bed, clean pool, quiet, and the breakfast bar is very goodThe bad – The key cards hardly ever worked (had to try like 30 times alternating cards it was infuriating every time we opened the door) and the other guests we knew had same issue Also, there was splatters of stuff on some of the walls that kind of led me to believe that they probably could have been just wiped off but they hadn’t been and the shower when you turn it on water was spraying every direction from a leak in the hose connection

The fold out bed mattress was really worn out and uncomfortable and there was some pretty disgusting stuff on it that we had to remove

Carrie Torres

The service was really poor and the furniture in the room was in bad shape (dresser drawers didn’t open without hitting a warped dresser door, chipped) When we went to check in, we were met with a sigh/grunt and a dirty look I said, that’s a strange way to greet customers

The employee, said “I don’t know if you’re room is ready yet, it’s only 2:00pm and I normally work the late shift”We ended up asking if we could have a different room because the dresser didn’t work and we were going to be there for several days The same receptionist said she’d “go and check with the girl” and never came back After 20 minutes, I found another employee who said they were calling the GM Four hours later, I asked if they spoke to the GM and she said, “I’ll go call now, we’ve been busy” The next day, I asked another employee to speak to the GM to report how poorly and disrespectfully we were treated and left for a call She never called We asked for our room to be cleaned and it was not Overall, the service was very bad and this affected our stay

Al Shami

Avoid this place The receptionists were grumpy and not welcoming at all The room I paid $140 for one night was noisy (next to the hotel side door) smells like a hospital (I guess from the cleaning detergent they use) The furniture were falling apart (some pictures included) and they were so cheap with the shampoo (a one tiny bottle not enough to wash your face)

One of the TV wasn’t working and both phones were disconnected (I had to walk to the reception to ask for two extra blankets and they said they only have one! so I had to give one of my blankets to my child All in all it was an awful experience and I felt like I should ask for my money back

I travel sometimes as many as 5 days a week for work For the longest time Best Western was my choice of hotels Prior to this day all the Best Westerns I’ve stayed at have been pleasant, clean, quiet and have treated me well

Now I will admit this hotel was pleasant clean and quiet We have a business account that we use for our hotel stays but we are often asked to use a personal card for incidentals After I checked out of the hotel I noticed that I had pending charges on my personal card for every day that I stayed there so I called the hotel and inquired and was met with a rude front desk employee who told me to call back when my charges post to dispute them since they were just pending I advised her that I wanted to prevent them from pending even though the pending charges being held from my bank I was trying to inquire as to why my personal account was being charged as well as my business account the lady at the front desk could not provide me answers but instead referred me to a manager who she stated was not working that day I never got a call from the manager I had to go through corporate who advised that all the Best Westerns are independently owned Corporate contact at the hotel and advised that they needed to get in contact with me and the hotel manager left a message with corporate stating that they tried but they got a voicemail that was not set up I asked corporate to confirm with the hotel what number they had and the hotel admitted that the number that they called was my business account customer service not my actual phone to this day I have not had a phone call an apology or an explanation from the hotel They did finally reverse the charges but only after my money was held hostage for a week My call originally was just simply to inquire why my personal card was being charged to which nobody could offer an explanation or even have the decency to call me back with an explanation I get that mistakes happen, but when nobody will call you back you begin to think that this was done nefariously instead of accidentally At any rate this Best Western has now made me a la Quinta fan as to now that’s my new hotel choice A simple phone call with an explanation and an apology could have resolved this whole issue but instead of the hotel chose to not own up to their mistake and either try and cover it up or just simply avoid the problem altogether and for that reason I cannot trust Best Western hotels anymore even though I know they are all independently owned this Best Western hardworking Best Westerns

AP Skidmore

A far stretch and transformation from the former “aspen inn” that kept his seat warm, the best western not only replaced And older, dim, outdated motel, it made several improvementsThe lobby is much brighter and more modern, the rooms while assumingely similar in size take on a much more spacious appearance, and if I’ve said it once I’ll say it…… You know…… a little landscaping goes a long way

The only thing preventing this property from receiving a five star rating in my eyes is just the fact that they don’t strive for anything more than mediocrity Sure the property is clean and nice, the staff are kind, the breakfast seems fresh, but nothing erupts with that above and beyond customer service moment that so many businesses need in order to stand apart these daysAll in all if you’re looking for a newer hotel, that offers clean facilities at a fair value, and you stumble across vacancies at this property Assuming nothing has changed, you can comfortably proceed with your stay herePS I took the Google cover photo

Hannah Zieschang

My husband and I booked this hotel for Valentine’s Day 2022, and we chose the room with the whirlpool tub We usually stay at the Hampton Inn and book their tub, but we wanted to see what Best Western had to offer They didn’t post a picture of the tub online which was odd, but we carried on

If you are early, they will charge you a $35 feeThe whirlpool tub was only FOR ONE PERSON, but it was dirty, even after we waited for an hour for housekeeping to clean the roomThe sheets were clean but had odd old stains on themThe TV is outdated with no way to connect to any streaming programsI wanted to walk out of this hotel, but we chose it so we could both have drinks at Outback and walk backThe experience was awful I will never book a room with Best Western again

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised at the reviews on this motel 6 So when I needed a inexpensive room for the night I decided to give it a try So glad I did

The lady at the desk was friendly when I checked in I walked in and there was no odd odors in the room! The room was clean and tidy This is just what I look for in a motel room A comfortable place to sleep, hot water, clean towels, no funky odors or stains, etc This place hit all those check marks It looks like it has been recently remodeled and well done at that I wish more motel 6s were like this!

Joe H

This Motel 6 was great! Clean, refreshed/updated room, surprisingly comfortable bed, clean We travel year round with our pets any typically stay in Motel 6’s and this was the best one yet! Also, the restaurant attached to it is very convenient, especially if you have a trailer and don’t wanna deal with going back to the main road Great value

Location was excellent for our activities 1 minute from Lake Alma, 2 minutes from Crawpappy’s Cajun restaurant for dinner and Let’s Eat restaurant for lunch Room was very clean, bed was comfortable

No complaints from either couple 2 rooms) Small fridge and microwave Don’t expect luxury, but clean and comfortable Great value for the price
