The room was spacious The location was very good The hotel is a good value for San Francisco

Everyone we encountered was very friendly and professional, and the night auditor when we checked in was particularly helpful, engaging, considerate, and informative When we requested changes to our booking a few weeks before arrival, the service by phone was perfectI also like that this hotel is family-owned for generations, not part of a big chain

Cindy Berryman

My husband and I had a 6 night stay in the newer part of the hotel Every single part of our experience here was outstanding Checking in at 1:00 AM was not an issue; and, in fact, the lady who checked us in gave us lots of great information with a positive attitude

We had requested a room away from the vending machines and elevator – we got exactly what we requested We even had a balcony overlooking the swimming pool! The room was roomy, especially the bathroom/vanity area, and the bed was EXTREMELY comfy Plus, the location was just perfect, only a few blocks away from all public transportation! If we ever return to San Francisco, we will definitely stay here again

Jenny Rainbow

Hotel is brilliantly placed, it’s got history but is fresh and modern so you get the best of both with a heap of charm The pool is heated and lovely place to have a moment of calm from the city The staff are AMAZING! Friendly, helpful and human it’s great

They helped us celebrate our sons birthday I such a way he cracked a smile, anyone with a teenage son knows how much a fete that is! So thank you

The service at this hotel is unbeatable My mom and I stayed here for 4 days and the staff was so kind Very clean and safe

Wonderful location to enjoy fisherman’s wharf They have great coffee and the bar is top knotch The gym was fantastic too! Also the concierge and front desk staff was super helpful with directions and any questions I love Marriott!!

Goesto Restaurants

We stayed at this Marriott for 5 days It is located in Fisherman’s Wharf, walking distance to the Pier, Alcatraz Line, Little Italy, the Cable Cars, and a short distance from anything else The location was great, relatively safe

The service in the hotel is really good Any issue or question we had they were ready and willing to help Really professional and personable peopleMore pluses: you get a $20 credit each night for the bar/restaurant, which was basic but decent enough Also, the concierge knows the good spots for a night out to eat AND, you can borrow fishing equipment or rent a bike from them as wellThe only downside was the fact that the rooms seemed a bit musty, which may be due to the fact that it is a few blocks from the water, but regardless for the over 300 a night that we paid plus the fees and being Bonvoy members, we’re just used to a little bit more fresh accommodationsOverall a good stay and we would do it again

Gregory Williams

Great location at fisherman’s Wharf, easy walk to the wharf, the cable car, trader Joe’s and public transport right at the door The travel concierge was very good, helping us book tours and helping us get around Early check in cost us $40 which I think is a bit over the top when you’re paying 3-400 per night to stay

Rooms nice and clean No pool/spa though It does have a gym Restaurant only open for breakfast and dinner no lunch service

As someone who loves visiting SF, this is the coolest hotel I’ve stayed in so far! The amenities are amazing – had so much fun shooting pool and playing ping pong Plus the hotel provides scooters for sight seeing! The thing that really set my stay apart, though, was the impeccable service from Diane! She went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, providing both recommendations and genuinely great conversation You can tell she takes great pride in her job and cares for her guests

Thanks for a perfect experience, Diane 🙂 Will be back!

Maureen Hernandez

Read along: This is a place where you’ll feel the warm of the people from California I’ve stayed in a few Viceroy and even thou this is the less fancy, it has the greatest people I loved the lady on Sunday 3/27/22

She helped with the scooters which by the way is a great perk The hotel is a bit old and there’s a lot of homeless in tenderloin area but I feel the people and quality compensates It has a room for improvement specially about walls and towels but it’s pretty ok I’d stay here again for the people mostly ❤️❤️❤️

Taya B

We came out to hotel Zetta for my birthday weekend The hotel for the most part was great The restaurant and the service inside of the hotel was amazing

The customer service checking in was amazing The only issue we really had was the electronics in the room We didn’t really know how to work them We called down, like around 10:00 pm to have someone come up and show us how to work it Guest services told us that maintenance would be up shortly but no one ever showed up

This place was AMAZING Service was excellent Everyone very friendly

Beautiful condo, fireplace, master bedroom was what dreams are made of Free coffee in lounge Filtered ph balanced water machine for refillable water bottles Definitely a must stay Oh and shopping and restaurants in building and a short walk away from pier and much more

Tammy Parashis

A dream come true property, this is what service is all about The team at the Fairmont Heritage Place will delight your soulOutstanding 5 star experience

The service was impeccable from all staff members Initially, we only booked for a 2 week stay and kept extending, for another 5 months while we were remodeling our home We stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom suite with high end amenities, including a full kitchen and washer and dryer in every residence, which is very difficult to find in San Francisco Along with my family being extremely happy with our stay, our dog had a fabulous time as well, as they are pet friendly and supplied him with a dog bed, dog bowls, and dog treats The doorman loved to give him treats as we would come and goBesides staying in luxury, you are in a prime and safe location, just upstairs from Ghirardelli Square You are also in close walking distance from Fisherman’s Wharf, North Beach, Fort Mason, and the Marina DistrictThe Mustard Terrace was our favorite part of the hotel It has spectacular views of Alcatraz, the bay and the world’s famous Ghirardelli sign above We loved hanging out on the comfy outdoor couches by the fire pit, day or night The hotel also offers a complimentary generous wine and cheese hour every Wednesday and Friday which was a wonderful perkWe can’t thank the entire staff enough who went out of their way to make our stay feel like home I can honestly say, the staff treated everyone like family! A few of them are Marco, Stephen, Aziz, Ryan, YuMi, Jean, Jason, Jeff, Asim, Lucia, Michelle, Johnson, Byron, The housekeeping team, Dallas, Karina, and Sarah And of course the managers Jonathan, Dan, and Jessica

Brandon Milton

We stayed here for two nights to do typical tourist things around San Francisco My family and I loved it! We were four adults (one couple, two singles) and the 2 bedroom apartment was plenty big enough with 2 beds and the sofabed Everything was clean and comfortable

We had a “city view” which faced Polk, but we could still see a bit of the bayWe also enjoyed the lounge areas outside with fire pits – although we couldn’t figure out how to start the fire pit on the second floorThe staff and service were great – everyone was friendly, we never once had to open the hotel’s main door, and we had someone check-in with us every day via text messageThere were only three cons IMO:1 We got lost when first checking in! The main entrance is on North Point/Polk You cannot access the lobby from Ghirardelli Square until you’ve checked in2 I wish the hotel room had some snacks For only two nights, we had a fridge/stove/oven, but no food! If we were staying for longer, we definitely would have grocery shopped3 During our second night (Sunday night), there was some street noise that was very loud and woke us up I think it was trash trucks In general the room had good noise insulation, but for some reason these trucks were LOUD!

I loved this hotel! I would say it’s almost perfect except for the parking fees I truly enjoyed the room and the bar and breakfast restaurant Delicious breakfast options

The pool had a little too much chlorine, so much that you could smell it on my skin for two days after The bed in our room was super comfy and the electric shades were a very nice touch The hotel was near shopping and restaurants The gift shop owner was lovely and informative All in all this was a great stay and I would definitely come back here again

This is an average hotel It’s clean, quiet in room 215 or not street side but not sure if it’s loud towards street rooms This hotel is close to public transportation spots

No tent homeless people but homeless people are sprinkled throughout San Francisco I felt safe at this location Bar was not open our 4 day stay over weekend Breakfast was eggs, hash browns or diced potatoes, meat, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee, juice, and bagels, toast Beds are comfortable This isn’t a fancy hotel but good for price All staff very nice

Jess Mallory

Ken and Alicia Lund

Stayed here for two nights Had high expectations and had those expectations met and often exceeded Great personalized service

The food offerings were very good and the quality of the food and the setting offered good value, especially in the lounge The hotel is relatively small, making it a more intimate setting The room was immaculately clean and comfortable There were some great custom touches that were greatly appreciated and our 7th floor room had a pleasant city and courtyard view

Mel Bar

It’s the Ritz Carlton They have a reputation to uphold and they did not disappoint The place reeks of old money – understated generational wealth

Alot of hotels in this category scream new money with their trendy decor and staff but this place doesn’t need to try; it just is The details scream luxury – turn down service, quality of in-room amenities, staff that knows your name without you having to tell them, plating of food, acknowledgement, but not over friendliness of staff this place has it all The lounge in the hotel lobby is a fabulous place to unwind, grab a bite, or watch the game Parallel 37 is great for breakfast but shines for private dining This place is like an oasis in an otherwise somewhat gritty downtown Five stars consistently!

Jill Vollbrecht

“Phenomenal” doesn’t begin to describe this hotel…hands-down, best hotelI’ve ever had the pleasure to stay in From the front desk to the restaurant staff to the housekeeping team, every person we chatted with was beyond amazing Helpful, pleasant, engaging, welcoming…we truly felt like we were returning home every time we came back

Location is spectacular, in a great, vibrant neighborhood within walking distance of many top San Francisco tourist attractions I’d come back in a heartbeat We had the privilege of staying on the club level, and Rudy, Starsky, Leo, Yvonne, and the team really went above and beyond the call of duty to get to know us and make our stay amazing

Wow! This is a really great hotel Small property with spacious beautiful and clean rooms The bed was maybe the most comfortable bed my wife and I have ever had the pleasure to sleep upon

The level of hospitality is very high here and so is the attention to detail The welcoming goody bag, with excellent wine and snacks and the morning breakfast are excellent amenities We stayed in a View King room which had a small balcony with unobstructed views of the San Francisco skyline and bay (picture is from our private balcony) Really no worries with booking this hotel, we will be repeat guests next time we choose to visit the Bay Area

Eddie Melvin

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a boutique hotel, not part of an upscale chain I was pleasantly surprised Unlike a large upscale hotel chain, they delivered

Morning breakfast was on-time The room was comfortable We booked the largest suite with the large private balcony, and we liked it a lot Sausolito is not within walking or short biking distance There is no direct ferry connection either This helps to keep the very small business district relatively quiet

Big Mike

Been there a few times I’m kind of local only live a couple hours away Love to stay there when visiting angel island

Can’t beat enjoying a glass of wine on the deck looking at the night lights of sf and the bay Short walk to the ferry Great staff did however miss the wine and cheese hour this trip Loved the breakfast Now the negatives Which aren’t deal breakers I need and got a Ada room Sadly I have a lot of stuff and the end tables just don’t do it Need to be bigger, by the time you place a cpap machine lay out your meds ect I’m placing things on my wheelchair 2nd thing beds are to soft You sink down 4 inches Need to be a little firmer I would have loved the bed being a foot higher with my bum legs But split the difference 6 inches would have been helpful Something for them to consider Like I said not a deal breaker When I’m back that way I will be checking in again

Food God

Stayed here for 3 nights, I truly recommend that if your looking for a 5 star stay, with food and normal 5-star amenities, that you should NOT book this hotel Although this hotel has great history, and the lobby has a unique old design, there are several things that make this hotel more of a 3 star hotel First of all, there is no real breakfast, only breakfast I would get at holiday inn, old dry pastries, and tea

5-star hotel, without proper breakfast interestingIf your looking to have a good workout, think of another place to go, because the gym at the hotel is a tiny room with a few old machines, and surprisingly nothing else, it is a bit embarrassing to be honest Rooms are a bit dated, feel like there is something missing, a bit empty, although the bed is comfortableAnother thing, if you are a family, be ready to pay an additional $150 per guest! Per Night! A bit ridiculous Again, first impression of hotel is nice, old victorian house with history, lobby is unique, but service is quite bizarre and for all the reasons above, I would never come here again, and would never recommend anyone coming here Spend $500 a night at the Ritz Carlton instead, where you have real 5-star amenities

E. Miller

Absolutely beautiful old mansion with well-appointed, individually decorated rooms with art and antiques that you won’t find anywhere else in SFThe main issue is that there really isn’t anything to do nearby that is reasonably walkable It’s nice that breakfast is included, but with the bar/restaurant still closed, it’s extremely basic

Also, there’s nowhere to wind down the evening with a drink once you’re back to the hotel in the middle of nowhereI can definitely see the Mansion being perfect for wedding parties and groups of people for special events, which will hopefully continue to pick up as we get past Covid

Lisa Abaid

Omar and staff were excellent- warm and welcoming and incredibly helpful with airport transportation and anticipating our needs The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely welcome plate of fruit, snacks, fresh water, and a nice turndown service with slippers at the bedside and chocolates on the pillows Location was great, you can reserve a parking spot for $54 which is more than reasonable in SF

Bathroom was modern and had really nice amenities Would definitely stay here again

This was such a wonderful experience! In a quiet peaceful part of town that is easily walkable to amazing bars and restaurants The accommodations and service are impeccable The breakfast is fantastic! The heated floors are phenomenal

The customer service makes you feel welcomed and comfortable They have seating in front of the hotel and it’s a beautiful spot to have a morning coffee or evening tea, drink I highly recommend staying here if you’re staying in San Francisco, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else

Stan Kennedy

Hotel Drisco absolutely MADE our stay in San Francisco From the moment we checked in to the time my wife and I (reluctantly) checked out we enjoyed every second of our stay The hotel and room itself was just as beautiful as the Pacific Heights neighborhood it is located in and our view from our fourth floor room provided an amazing view of the cityscape and the bay

The staff was incredibly inviting and helpful and no detail to the visitor experience was spared Our room was as clean as could be and the attention to detail added to our experience For anyone looking to stay in San Francisco and avoid the hustle of the wharf/downtown area, look no further Hotel Drisco will be my wife and I’s first choice for every visit to the area from now on HIGHLY RECOMMEND

John Marques

The Hotel Drisco is a wonderful hotel with an intimate, European feel My wife and I were in San Francisco for a 2 night stay to attend a wedding We did not want to stay in one of the larger, chain properties and found this wonderful property in the beautiful Pacific Heights neighborhood

From check in to check out, the staff was very attentive and helpful The property is gorgeous and very well maintained Every single staff member we encountered (from the front desk, the servers, room staff and Eduardo the head of maintenance (who stepped in as a tour guide) were friendly, graciousThe room we stayed in was well appointed and very clean The morning breakfast is very well done and the service was excellent We regret that we were not able to attend the wine reception held every dayAll in all a wonderful experience and will stay again

Clean hotel with beautiful style modern decor and close to the waterfront We used all services The valet is priced as expected for the area ~50 bucks a night

The bar closes around 11 or 12 but stops serving food earlier The morning breakfast has much the feel of a typical buffet The lobby is gorgeous and has many areas for guests to sit as work or hang out The gym is well appointed and was one of my favorite features The rooms we stayed in were renovated and clean It was a wonderful four day stay for our entire party I would stay here again happily

Thomas Baugh

We enjoyed a brilliant 5-night stay in this hotel Top service, spacious, modern room and ideally located for everything we wanted to do in San Francisco The main lobby area is spectacular (just going up and down in the lifts is an experience) and we made use of the bar, mini-market and gym too

We didn’t eat breakfast there because it seemed expensive, but there are plenty of places nearby and/or cheap options in the on-site market I would highly recommend the hotel and stay there again if I’m ever in the city

Elizabeth Barron

An absolute gem: luxurious exquisite experience from start to finish Upon arrival the staff offered a room update and a full list of welcome gifts (breakfast and dinner vouchers) The room on the 45th floor was well decorated, spotlessly cleaned and had all the essentials for a stay in the city

It was a very memorable experience, staff made sure we are treated with ultimate care and respect“Cherry on the cake” was an incredible breakfast: still craving those buttermilk banana pancakes and a light balanced oatmeal Thank you to the staff for your attention to details, it’s an achievement to keeping the standard of 5* hotel in San Francisco!

i liked it and the staff was amazing, but it will be a one-time stay for me this is a newer acquisition, and it just didn’t have the amenities and special touches to stand up to what i expect from these properties the views from the room certainly provided a the wow factor, but the hotel needs a little more attention to create a strong four seasons experience

as always, hats off to the excellent team working and caring for the guests and their stay

As usual, the Four Seasons never disappoint Finally a place where there is a real sense of service Rooms are impeccable

We had a suite with the view on the bay and the bridge, it was stunning (albeit weather remained foggy the whole stay) The staff is very competent, has the attention to details you expect and is genuinely nice and welcoming

Highly recommend this hotel! The rooms are small but they are very nice and this hotel has all the amenities! It is a very pet friendly hotel with a little rooftop dog run! The swimming pool looked amazing and they have a hot tub and a huge workout facility that is bigger than some paid gyms The suites are large as well as we met someone staying in one and we checked it out We also got to check out the catering and the top floor event space

Great space for hosting events with a view of the city The hotel has valet parking and luggage storage as well The hotel is central the metro and the cable car system

A very nice hotel Be careful of the fees and parking charges (added $200 to our one night stay) – also the pool looked nice and I wanted to stay here to be able to swim

however the pool was full of kids and every lounge chair taken with their things, every time we checked it out during our stay (even during adult only swim hours) Very clean hotel and we had a nice view of the city

What can I say, the location is incredible (the views are breathtaking), the service was top notch, and the rooms were wonderful! This was the perfect place for my family of 4 to stay while we were in San Francisco! It was such a unique place to stay, with coffee and breakfast included each morning and convenient and cheap parking! We also loved how accessible it was to Golden Gate and the surrounding area Was truly a great experience ans would love to return in the future!

David Weinberger

A wonderful hotel right in middle of the historic Presidio The views of the Golden Gate Bridge are kind of hard to believe, and to be honest I still wasn’t used to the sight after my 4 night stayThe nightly rate is a little pricey, but worth it for the prime location, amenities and cheap parking ($10 per night)

Free EV charging (level 2 j1772) is available in the adjoining parking lot behind the hotel The park itself is a beautiful place with more than enough to explore over a weekend The staff is wonderful and made everything super easyComplimentary breakfast and wine & cheese round out the experience to make it a pretty sweet deal I highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Enjoyed our stay here Had a standard room which was a bit small Remember though that this was an old room for soldiers so I get it

The view made up for it The room was very clean as well We could see the Golden Gate Bridge from our window The staff are very attentive My wife cannot drink alcohol and we were celebrating our 30th Anniversary The Inn replaced the sparkling wine with sparkling lemonade They also replaced the cheese with a fruit bowl The decor highlights the history of the building and the Presidio The Inn is also right next door to the Walt Disney Family Museum!

Stayed for 2 weeks this June, service was fantastic at all levels Hotel is dated at parts but has great bones and feels very old world Plus points are professional gym, garden and easy access to cable car

Tower rooms offer 2 bedroom suites which are perfect for families and have incredible views Overall highly recommend

My mom and I had such a great stay Kelsey at the front desk was so friendly and go us into our room right away Juan and William at the bell desk/valet offered us some great recommendations for things to see and some much needed advice on navigating transportation throughout the city

We had Oscar both nights that we ate at the Laurel Court restaurant and he was so kind He never failed to put a smile on our faces It was our first time in San Francisco and the Fairmont San Francisco staff and all of the friendly locals that we met along the way made our trip one to remember We will be back!

Gorgeous hotel and location, but unless you are a wedding party bringing in the big $$$ don’t expect great service We needed to ask for items repeatedly, and our elite tier benefits were neglected to be provided until we asked three times During the stay information we requested from staff was confused and later was contradicted by other hotel employees

The hotel seems to lack training of its junior employees or has too much turnover to maintain training standards Confusion reigned during our stayIt’s a lovely place – and the employees were very nice, although often lacking follow through If your expectations are not too high you will enjoy staying here
