Wonderful, attractive property close to shopping and dining, yet rooms were very quiet This is some of the best, uninterrupted rest I have ever had at a hotel The mattresses were firm, yet comfortable

The style has a contemporary decor that is welcoming and not “cold” Bathroom area is spacious with multiple hooks for hanging items Pool was warm and family-friendly, although it could be larger and deeper at at least one end Towels were running low and front desk came in soon and replaced them The full breakfast was a welcome amenity during the pandemic, but the sausage patties were dry and lukewarm I found the “flow” of how the made-to-order line was right next to items you could pick out yourself sort of awkward, because it sometimes felt like you were breaking in line when you weren’t The whole breakfast area was rather busy and chaotic This hotel is pricier than some other brands but the suite style is both family and business professional friendly, and this location outshines even other Embassy Suites in the area I highly recommend

Larry Watkins

Embassy Suites is indeed the best place to stay The accommodations are great; the food is amazing to say the least The staff are very professional and accommodating

Geographically it’s a perfect place for shopping, and dinning The room rates are very reasonable considering what you receive My wife and I felt safe and very comfortable staying at this Hotel Please, please, please give it a try Thanks Embassy Suites for making our 46-wedding anniversary a memorable occasion

Kausik Datta

Conveniently located hotel with good and clean non-smoking rooms with comfy beds and lounge sofas Excellent service by the front desk, house and kitchen staff I hope the hotel management would consider three improvements: 1) Please make the signage directing guests to the hotel better and more prominent, especially since there is another similarly sized hotel right in front of the Embassy Suites

On the night I arrived, I had trouble finding the entrance to the hotel 2) Please make it clear to the guests at check-in if the hotel has a functional restaurant and its hours (if yes), so that the guests may have the choice to dine in at dinner The complementary drinks coupons at check-in were nice but not useful to me since I don’t drink 3) Please provide a static channel guide for the TVs or at least some kind of information on the TV programming

fun time! beautiful hotel in a convenient location a bit much on the homeless side, but that’s expected in a downtown environment didn’t really interact with the staff much as you can do digital keys and self check ins

elevator scared me when my wife and I first got in because it stopped at level 5 before we had to swipe our key to continue up

David Ellington

A little difficult to get into the place and getting parked was a challenge But after that everything was wonderful Staff was excellent, friendly and very competent

Rooms very nice Location, once there, was great as you can walk safely to a lot of interesting sites, especially the state Capitol building Overall 4 star all the way

Mark DeMore

We enjoyed our stay here Liked the modern design of the property, plenty of areas to relax and enjoy outdoors Pretty good rooms, though wear and tear shows and the property could be cleaner overall

Though the restrooms in the lobby were spotless We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant on property, though I personally enjoyed breakfast more The staff did let us know in advance that the menu was limited and they were short staffed at dinner, but it was still a good experience, no significant delays or bad food We had burgers and tacos and wings as appetizer at dinner, loved the wings and burger, tacos could be better At breakfast we had pancakes, French toast, and corned beef hash, all were very good And Staff was very friendly

This is one of my top favorite Marriott hotels to stay at! I would come back to Raleigh just to stay a few nights at this hotel I love that it’s in the university campus! It’s surrounded by trees and nature which is so rare to find in a hotel these days! The lobby, patio, deck and pool area are simply amazing! So inviting to just hang around! They even offer free recreational games to play on their lawn! There is an ice and water machine in each hallway! This was a huge perk for us since we take our refillable water bottles everywhere! The hallways smell amazing because they have a diffuser running in each hallway as well The rooms were fantastic! They weren’t your standard boring hotel decor

Each room has wolf decor including the pillows and blanketsThis hotel does cater to alumni and parents of current students but I absolutely loved my stay here and would stay again whenever I am in Raleigh

Room was beautiful, very clean and conveniently along our route Beds were really comfortable memory foam Pretty pricey but you definitely get what you pay for

Breakfast was good with biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage Also waffle maker, bagels, cereal, yogurt, and coffee is really good OJ and apple juice as well When I can afford it, I’ll definitely come again

Morgan Crutchfield

My room was clean and I appreciate that, but I was booked for a 6 night stay and they weren’t even going to change my trash or refresh my towels The rooms are dark and my thermostat wasn’t working properly There is no constant fan setting on the A/C and it’s pretty loud when it kicks on so I was constantly waking up through the night

The shower is large and pressure was good but there’s no shower door and only half a glass wall so you freeze trying to shave your legs and the bathroom gets crazy humid The staff I did meet were pleasant, but like a lot of other guests I thought it was super odd that you had to go to the other hotel to check in or out or obtain services

Malcolm Devine

Second day here I may change things as it progresses The staff are super friendly!! You have to check in at the hotel next door

The “free breakfast “ is as minimal as possible No room service because; you know, covid That excuse will go on for as long as possible, I suspect Like I said let’s see how the rest of the week plays out I don’t blame the local staff but this is a step backwards in my opinionEdit: one of the 2 elevators is out of service so now the other one has no competition on becoming the slowest Everyone I have met seems to be on the top floor I need to figure out what that is aboutI later found out that the elevator has been out for a lot longer than I thought I stayed at another Marriott property later in the week and that one had the same issue Someone said that they are taking parts from one to keep the other going I think I will try a different chain for my next road-trip and see how that is

Oh boy! What a place this is! My husband surprised me with a stay here for our anniversary! This hotel EXCEEDED my expectations! From the front desk staff (5/2/22- sorry I don’t remember names but there’s the date so they can be recognized if they worked that day), to the waitress Maya in the restaurant to the wonderful sweet housekeeper (5/3/22) that waited outside our room at checkout to give us more time! I mean it was amazing! I’m a Marriott girl but The Mayton is my new spot for sure The complimentary bikes for rent are a cute touch that we enjoyed using The rooms were clean and spacious! Room service the next morning was hot and speedy as well! I can’t say enough about this place! We can’t wait to return!

Josh Tomczak

Such a gorgeous hotel! Everything here is just luxury!!! I took a small tour of the building and every moment was unforgettable! Every room is very fancy inside, so I think you will enjoy your stay! The rooms are a bit pricey, but I think it’s worth every penny! If you are looking to stay in Downtown Cary, this is the place to go to! I would 100% recommend this place!

Jonah Bishop

Decent hotel, though not what I was expecting Online, this place exudes a boutique hotel vibe In person, it felt like we were at any given chain hotel

Our room had noticeable dust on the walls, which was random One of the towel hooks in the bathroom was also broken The room has a “noise masking” (white noise) feature, but the loudest setting was still surprisingly quiet We were disappointed by this, as the noise from the restaurant down below was considerable during the evening There are hardwoods throughout the place, which makes it a little noisier than other hotels I’ve stayed in Breakfast at the restaurant was good, though pricey Parking is a trick, though you likely know that going into it (parking in downtown Cary isn’t great in general) Overall, I’m not sure I would recommend this hotel to my friends or family It’s not a horrible place by any stretch, just not great

The Courtyard Triangle Town Center is the BEST hotel in Raleigh, hands downThey ever so graciously hosted my post-wedding reception this past weekend and made everything so incredibly easy, beautiful, and an absolute success I am no event planner by any means, so at points where I found myself freaking out over the details, Jack (sales) was there every step of the way

He was extra communicative, detail-oriented, and thought of things even we had forgotten to consider – everything you’d want in a sales coordinator Jewel and Brandi made the most amazing food, that made all of our guests (even the pickiest eaters) very, very happy The staff at the front desk during our event were patient, friendly, and incredibly accommodating as well – everything was simply perfectIf you’re looking for a place to do business, gather with family, or just stay overnight, look no further than here Worth absolutely every penny and you will not be disappointed!!!

Charlotte Beecher

Don’t stay here Prices are up Business is up…yet, They have stripped down amenities to the bare bones (1

one cup of in-room coffee and no complimentary coffee stand in the breakfast area, 2 Minuscule slivers of soap, 3 No complimentary breakfast or snacks…not even cookies Plus – it is noisy While we have been Marriott members for years, This is our last stay hereOn the positive side, it is clean and the oversized chair in the room is nice

Brandon Bowlin

Nice rooms No consistency in a restaurant or bar Obnoxious service

Over-charged for the value Was threatened by staff they would call police if I didn’t leave within the next hour when I had overslept I had paid and stayed for four days at that point They could have just asked if I wanted to stay another day and I would have paid I’m not the type of person that takes threats lightly, especially without asking appropriate customer service questions first I’ll never stay at another Marriott

First time staying here for work Did 3 nights and extended one more Very, very nice hotel

Adequate parking The design and decor is nice Very detailed oriented on everything Indoor pool was nice and clean Gym was spacious and I could get a good work out in The breakfast was very good The staff are all very professional, friendly, well dressed and groomed I stayed in a king bedroom suite and loved it Felt like a home away from home Thank y’all so much Hyatt is the best hotel chain

Karen Thayer

Comfortable, affordable, modern Friendly front desk through our stay, very convenient airport shuttle service Nice public areas for small groups to socialize inside and outside

Breakfast has basic options sufficient to tide you over til you get food elsewhereA little disappointed in the cleaning of hallways and rooms No fan in bathroom area, so humidity is deteriorating fixtures Our shower clearly hasn’t been scrubbed well/ moldy grout taken care of The carpet outside our room was not vacuumed during our 5 day stay, as there were several long pieces of dental floss discarded that remained where they wereOverall, decent place to stay Will definitely try Hyatt House again next time we travel

Stacey Lewis

After much research, I was looking forward to my stay here On arrival, the host who greeted us, Jason, was friendly and professional I was assigned room 212

We went to drop off my bags and noticed that half the lights weren’t working We informed the front desk and was assigned room 215 We went to drop off my bags and all was good! We left and went to dinner with family I returned after 10:30P and ready for bed I noticed red stains on the night table that ended in a pool of grossness between the bed I was planning and letting it go until morning as I was so tired I pulled back the sheets and an odor hit meurine! I sniffed and confirmed that the mattress pad and mattress smelled of urine! I immediately informed the front desk who brought up new sheets I informed them of the situation and was moved to another room This all occurred on February 16 I left on February 20 I reported my concerns to the front desk as well as corporate and as of this writing, no one from the management team during my stay there, reached out to me This to me speaks volumes I’m not one to make a scene, yell or act out Yet, I wonder if I did, would some sort of action be taken to remedy this situation? There is no excuse for a customer to be checked into a “cleaned” room, where the bed reeks of urine

For the hotel itself? Five star experience, no question about it From the valet, to the folks checking you in- you’ll never find a more pleasant staff than you do here Almost everything I asked for was met with “of course”

The only negative that I experienced was saying on multiple occasions when asked if I was celebrating anything special was that I wanted to make this stay truly special and celebratory because I was FINALLY doing something for myself after 13 years and 5 children, but I think being a mom and finally getting the chance to do something for myself is not necessarily a celebratory event I’m a bit sad that my very serious request to make this stay as special as possible was ignored, especially knowing the lengths the hotel has gone through for friends on just regular staysThe Heron- I’m completely upset and almost scared to go back here I had a 1030am reservation for brunch, my server approached me about 3 times in the 2 hours I was here Upon approaching the manager about feeling disregarded, she argued with me that she was sure that was not his intent (impact vs Intent should definitely be discussed) This was neither helpful nor a solution to the issue The worst part of it was the staff talking about me smoking as a direct insult to me bringing up the lack of service 1 I asked to sit outside to be able to smoke, 2 There is no signage or anything I could see that lets you know what part of the patio is ok to smoke on, and 3 I immediately moved as soon as I was made aware The only “good” interaction was the front desk employee, I believe Rachel was her name, who was the only one to ask how my service and meal was, who complemented my head wrap, and told me how wonderful my perfume was It’s almost painful to write this review, as a black woman if I point out flawed service I’m “angry” As a black person, I’m just looking for something for “free” Upon hearing my complaint the manager offered to “send something up to my room”, and after paying my bill, STILL tipping my server 20%, and the total amount of money I’ve spent there since the beginning of my stay it felt like a gross insult Will a $15 dessert sent up to my room change my dining experience? Will it change how hostile it feels knowing how I was referred to? Will it change arguing with me about intent? No

Stephanie Ruggiro

I had an interesting experience during my stay at the Umstead I went for a work trip celebration- I think we had a total of 10 rooms booked They did allow me to check-in early which was great

I was staying by myself and had a great corner room overlooking the pool with a large balcony I was getting settled in and had just taken a shower and an employee walked into my room without knocking I am not sure what the policy is, but being such a prestigious hotel, and employee should first check to see if anyone has booked the room and if they couldn’t do that, then at least knock first before entering without warningOf course I was startled and screamed because I wasn’t expecting anyone to be in my roomI called down to the front desk just to let them know what happened and to advise their staff to knock before entering a roomBesides that strange experience, the spa service was good, as was room service for breakfast and later that nightI am not sure if I would go out of my way to stay there again, but overall it is a nice hotel

Catherine Lowe

I had a amazing deep tissue massage with Kyle, I highly recommend him! The spa still limits guests to 1 hour for use of amenities after your service, which is a bit frustrating In addition, locals are limited to booking spa appointments as they are held for hotel guests only Hopefully in the future they will consider changing this policy as it is very hard to get an appointment

Overall the facility is super clean and spa service was outstanding as always!

The photos of this hotel’s rooms are better than the actual rooms There was a less than desirable odor in the room (we bought air freshener) and some of the towels had mascara stains on them So they could be washed better

Good thing I brought my own towels The restaurant and bar was great The customer service was pretty great Over all we had a great stay

Jushanna Goree

This hotel is wonderful It is located across from one of the Duke Medical Center locations The lobby is spacious and up to date

Check-in was quick and the staff were very helpful and efficient No complementary breakfast, but you could purchase breakfast in the lobby for $15 Snacks available for purchase at front desk (no vending machines) Bar with kitchen located in lobby as well Rooms had iron/ironing board/ hair dryer/ fridge/ microwave/ coffee maker Very comfortable beds We had a suite with a parlor room The park room had not been cleaned when we arrived, but was cleaned quickly after the front desk was alerted The parlor room had it’s own entrance with double doors The double doors had a 1/4-1/2 opening that we learned allowed hallway light to filter in and you can see through it Since it was after 11pm and just an overnight stay, we just draped a sheet over the door and did not alert the front desk

Lisa Williams

You have to PAY TO PARK!!! I’ve NEVER stayed anywhere that charges guests to park The hot tub is STILL closed Breakfast costs $16 a person

There’s no microwave in the room For a Hilton I am VERY disappointed I’d been better off keeping my La Quinta reservation I thought this would be a better place to stay Boy was I wrongThe ONLY good things were the bed is comfy and I could take my dog Which I could have done at other hotels Will NEVER stay here again, especially not for their current rates

The staff is extremely friendly, from the overnight front desk staff to the bartender Thank you so much for the great experience I’ve stayed at many Alofts, all over the US & this is by far THE BEST Aloft I’ve ever stayed at in my life, possibly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at; they make you feel like family! Alexis is extremely sweet Maria loves mine & my wife’s dogs

Dwight is honestly my hero, we had the best conversation and I truly appreciate him for all that he does! Robin, the bartender is I’ve ever had an experience with, and I have been to a lot of bars! Edie is amazing! Thank you all for everything you do!

Jenny Wright

We had a large group of 47 high school students plus chaperones, visiting Raleigh for the first time for a choral convention The Aloft is within walking distance of many dining options and has a little convenience store with snacks, drinks, and breakfast options The hotel staff was more than accommodating during our stay, keeping in close contact with our group and anticipating our needs – everything from extra towels to an impromptu birthday party for a member of our group

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a short weekend birthday getaway Our room was very clean We received great customer service

The hotel is conveniently located The price was decent for the quality of the room We love the climate control A/C, that allows us to control the temperature by the push off a button on the wall We always look for hotel rooms that do not have the floor units Sometimes the floor units contain dust particles- which doesn’t agree with our sinuses We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay We would definitely recommend this hotel and we plan to stay again in the near future

Let’s start out with the staff, they were awesome! The hotel itself was great The open lobby was very large and was great for the evening reception and morning breakfast The breakfast at this place was great

The omelettes were my favorite The gym here was one of my favorites that I have used at a hotel They had a lot of exercise equipment from bike, elliptical, treadmill, free weights, machine weight, mats, resistance bands, etc The indoor pool looked really nice(never used it) The hotel room was really nice Beds were good but could have been better Not very soft or comfortable Bathroom could use an update, the tub/shower was a little out dated The only thing that was bad at this hotel was the coffee! The coffee here was horrible But luckily there is a Starbucks right down the road Overall our experience here was great and would love to come back Highly recommend this hotel

First of all the greeting from Ms Xena was outstanding She was very polite, helpful and knew what I wanted before I even asked abs took care of my needs immediately

She made me felt like the Diamond member that I am Second the room is amazing, from it being cleaned above standards and spacious I can’t wait to try the restaurant and bar!!! Thank you again Ms Xena for a pleasant check inPart 2 the food is wonderful I had the steak tip sandwich is delightful to the pallet One would expect for a steak tip sandwich to be kind of tough Nevertheless, this steak is tender, season perfectly, the salté onion was juicy and not over cooked and the cheese was melted perfectly, and the meat was glazed just right My waitress Maria was very very attentive, my glass never went below halfway not to mention she checked on me to see if I need anything at all, she will get a great tipOverall this is by far one of the best or maybe the best place I’ve stayed in years Wonderful staff I’m just speechless of how wonderful this place is The price is even wonderful also

Travel for a living Could not have been more impressed with every single aspect of experience this hotel offered It’s a beautifully-designed Hilton property, vibrant and contemporary

From the greeting at check-in, the service, the food, the restrooms on the 1st floor, the rooms, cleanlinessNot one single staff member seemed rushed, hating life, acting like they were doing us a favor by being there In fact, it was quite the opposite I rarely leave reviews, however they deserve the praise Absolutely first class!

Love the hotel overall Fantastic staff, but we did have a unfriendly experience with one of the staff members in the restaurant (not our usual that we have had experience with) my husband accidentally spilled some coffee and the staff member handed him the towel and then my husband wanted to eat on the patio but hadn’t received his food yet and informed the staff member that he was going to the patio and the staff member never informed my husband that his food was up he just left it sitting in the window Benjamin on the other hand goes over and beyond for his customers

Best experience with him Breakfast here is not free so for my husbands food to just sit there and get cold and hard is poor service in our opinion

Enjoyed this hotel Very clean Two guys at the front desk were very welcoming

Only issue I had was a dog constantly barking on the floor above me I did bring it to the guest representative attentionAlso, at about 9:15pm I went to go order food at the bar and I was ignored for 5mins This is before and after asking for a menu and then taking a seat The two servers ignored me They proceeded to serve someone else and watch a basketball game and have a conversation with other guestOtherwise I love this hotel 😀

Nice appointed, although somewhat worn, rooms Guest room air quality is compromised

In general, facilities were in pretty good shapeFront desk service was excellent, kind, eager to please, and prompt on Friday as well as Saturday NOT so much Sunday and Monday Actually, not at all on Sunday and MondayGreat central ideal location to enjoy the town on foot or by automobileParking was much better than expected!Coffee shop was EXCELLENT, kind, prompt, sweet, friendlyWe did not make it to the restaurant- as we had plenty of food at the 2022 Dreamville Festival

This Sheraton has surely seen better days and unfortunately basic cleanliness is not a priority Club level rooms have never bed/headboards and an eclectic mix of toiletries Lounge is very very basic, but the snacks are decent and staff is very kind, so if you are already here, I recommend upgrading

Poor soundproofing offers extra entertainment, however also poor sleep Not where I would stay again by choice

Hotel is in need of a refresh The facilities in general seem a little rundown at best and in some cases, just not that clean Housekeeping was very inconsistent

One day I received fresh towels and nothing else Another day my entire room was cleaned And on another day, the housekeepers failed to close my door properly — when I returned to my room at 5pm the door wasn’t latched and I could just push it open (The same thing happened to another guest on my floor) Fortunately nothing was missing from the roomI will avoid this place next time I’m in Raleigh

Evelyn at the bar was absolutely a professional and very wonderful She treated each patron with respect and provided top notch service We will definitely be back to that property because of her

The property was very clean and laid out nicely It’s difficult to find good service with people who enjoy their job You can tell Evelyn truly enjoys what she is doing and I hope the leadership team recognizes her for her customer centric behaviors

Really wasn’t anything special about the hotel No pool or microwaves in the rooms They have a microwave at the front desk they can use to heat stuff for you, but the night staff wasn’t the friendliest about it

The pillows are all really thick We paid for a room with a tub but that’s not what we got We were credited for the difference Definitely not worth the price

Sweet Bee

I had an amazing time this Valentines weekend Rooms were clean, food was good, bed slept nice This hotel needs to change from 4 star to 5

We had a gift package for two which consists of champagne 🍾, Strawberry 🍓, Chocolate 🍫 and breakfast buffet, it was beautiful however, I did not drink the champagne but love the chocolate We shopped, had dinner at firebird, and enjoyed a movie, (Marry Me)😍🥰 This is a very nice reasonable price hotel along with shopping areas and wonderful places to eat and just a walk away Please check them out!!!!
