This hotel is in a great location Staff goes above and beyond for their customers They had several hand sanitizers which made us feel safer about their awareness

The staff is almost over accommodating, but expected for the price Anyone would feel super pampered and it was a really nice experience especially for individuals who work more than full-time just to make ends meet and just want to really relax Room service is very fast, they come in and setup your table, they whistle for cabs, they hold your delivery at the desk Overall amazing weekend for us

The lobby is impressive when you walk in, a classic 1930’s feel and that sets the trend for the rest of the hotel My room was spacious and despite it looking vintage it had plenty of charging points and electrical sockets Just perfect for a business trip

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom a good size with everything working perfectly Above all everything was cleaned to a high standard which is probably one of the most important things when staying at a hotelI would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy staying here again!

BB

Large hotel, with helpful front staff Room rate was on the higher side than we normally like to pay We like to travel by car, parking is expensive, worked out to $92 Canadian a night! We found the bell hops to be very courteous and front desk associates helpful and understanding (especially when someone decided to remove bottles from the mini bar without reading that you’re automatically charged for them)

Rooms are clean, well decorated Bathroom is good size, clean, well appointedMy only complaint would be the size of the shared double bed The hotel description says the room sleeps three, which is good for us,but the double beds are small in size and make for an uncomfortable sleep for 2 We overall liked the hotel and it’s location to various points of interest, but would not stay again unless we splurge for a more expensive room with larger beds

Room is extremely clean & beautiful It’s been all updated and remodeled! My room was fine, the staff was super friendly Vanya helped me check in early, she was very responsiveThe breakfast buffet was stocked, this H2S was really good with the heat yourself sandwiches that came out fresh and tasty from the microwave

This hotel also has good out door spaces Love that!

Sara Porter

Everything about the hotel was great- well-almost everything! The check in was easy- Francis, at the front desk was always so kind and helpful Enzo, the manager sent a text almost every day checking to see how things were in the room Housekeeping did a great job

The location was perfect for someone’s first time in NYC It’s a block to a metro stop- 3 stops to 5th ave The streets were quiet, the hotel was quiet, it was great Breakfast options could have been better but I know we are still in Pandemic mode If I ever come back to visit- I will 100% stay here!

I stayed here with my brother back in March and we absolutely LOVED IT The hotel was super clean (both the room and common areas) They have a beautiful terrasse on the first floor with the street view and a terrasse on the 7th floor that we had a chance to enjoy

The location is a block away from central park and near subways to get you around the city The rooms were clean and comfortable and we got a great view of the city and Lincoln Center There were some issues with the elevators while we were there but we weren’t held up for too long

We were just sad that we couldn’t use the fitness center due to the unusually hot weather that caused them to close it temporarily Their rooftop is also incredible! Super friendly and efficient staff too!

Irina Constantinescu

We loved the complimentary water bottles, we went for them at the reception Downsides:The swimming pool is closedGym is closed

No restaurant for breakfast in the hotelThe rooftop closes at 11pm, except Fridays & Saturdays when it closes at 1am (staff confused the closing times, so we couldn’t enjoy the rooftop)The rooms are very old, but clean You can hear the noise from the hallway and the elevators, very thin walls in the roomThe room cleaning service is nice, reception as well :)Thank you, overall, for the experienceThe staff was nice, but we would never go back to this hotel – we chose it and paid this money due to the facilities and they were all closed Big disappointment

The room is spacious and so is the bathroom Nice roomy shower space and has a bathtub too There is also a seating bench along the window

Even though the do not disturb sign was hung outside, the housekeeper still knocked on the door asking if more towels were neededOn the weekend, we could smell marijuana wafting from the bathroom’s vent at least 5 times during different hours of the day Complained to reception but they said they couldn’t find which room caused it

Irmina T-Mgy

Nice clean hotel in a great location Loved the little cafe downstairs for breakfast and drink but don’t expect service from the hotel The cafe was independently owned and do not offer room delivery

It can take a while to wait for the elevator since there are only 2 available and there are 37 floors Loved the fact that there’s free coffee and water for the guests on the 4th floor common area Our room also has a Nespresso machineOverall experience was great because we love the location and easy parking in the parking garage (independently owned) right next to the hotel

We had an exceptional stay at the Carlyle Our two-bedroom suite with its courtyard view, was extremely quiet and peaceful The suite itself was luxuriously appointed, the bar/restaurant was amazing as we enjoyed the jazz music, as well as the special champagne bar

The lobby was beautiful, providing for the perfect welcome each time we entered the propertyWe are especially grateful to the staff as their attentive service made our stay extra special

We were thoroughly impressed at the staff at The Carlyle They were friendly and professional and made personal connections with us They seemed happy to be there

The lobby and restaurant are gorgeous and the room product was classy and comfortableBemelman’s Bar was also a very positive experience

Dana Cardea

I stayed in a $2,200 a night suite that was not worth $500 The suite smelt very musty and our view was a bunch of smelly trash, garbage bags and construction junk not equipment I asked for extra toiletries and was brought half-used already opened toiletries so I had to call back and ask for new ones not used ones

To give me someone else’s used toiletries is just disgusting Our breakfast was cold and bacon was burnt to a crisp For this hotel and the price we paid to stay was horrible and would never stay or recommend this hotel again

This was a beautiful hotel! Google maps said it would take longer to get to the train station, but it’s literally across the street This made going into New York City very easy The rooms were HUGE and very clean! The hand towels had the garden city logo on them and the robes were unbelievably comfortable

The beds were great to sleep in My wife made friends with a few of the housekeeping ladies After a full day of traveling to get here, then waking up early to go to the city, we were in dire need of water The housekeepers were super nice and gave us quite a few bottles!! It went a long way in terms of serviceMy cousin had his rehearsal dinner at this hotel I have to say all the food was delicious My wife is a Mac and cheese connoisseur, and she said the Mac and cheese at their pasta bar was in her top 3 EVER The desserts that were served were just as good I’m not sure if I’ll ever have a reason to do an event at this hotel, but it is one that I will remember foreverMany of the women on my cousin’s side of the family decided to get their hair and makeup done together at the salon in the hotel They all had a ton of fun and looked beautiful! My mom and wife could not stop raving about how good everyone did Everyone working here was very professional and clearly very good in their field

Jeff Clark

The staff is wonderful, capped off by Anthony (Tony) at the front desk The common areas are wonderfully clean, with staff walking the space throughout the day We were in the pool and witnessed a staff member walk the gym and pool area, then minutes later another staff member came down to mop some shoe prints on the pool deck

Great team work was evident throughout our stay, and housekeeping was attentive, remembered that we had children with us, and quietly knocked as to not disturb them well deserving of our tip! Don’t forget to tip, the team deserves it

Plushee One

I liked it but

Beautiful historic hotel that could use a freshening Lobby, spa, restaurants are lovely, the staff is welcoming (especially Gary at the front desk and our bellhop Luis) but the rooms are faded (and we stayed in the penthouse) Small updates would make all the difference, like table lamps with outlets in them and lighter color schemes This place ain’t cheap and they can do better

Mailani Fernandez Dailey

This review is STRICTLY for Valentina at the front desk Yes, the hotel is cute, clean, love the decor, etc but Valentina is what made the stay better She took care of everything, was beyond accommodating and sweet

I even had a food delivery order issue and long story short, when they finally made it back with our order, she had it sent up to me instead of me having to walk back down again What a gem! Thank you so much Valentina! You’re amazing!

Had a delay with our flight from Detroit, so we missed our flight home There wasn’t very many hotels with vacancies We were so glad we found this hotel

They have free shuttle from and to the airport So that saves money, no need for an Uber The front desk clerk was very friendly The lobby could use some updating, the room was really nice, clean and comfortable During the day the street noise was loud, but at night when you have the air conditioner on, you don’t hear the noise The bed and pillows were very comfortable The water closet is separate from the shower, which is very convenient, for 2 people trying to get dressed There also was a living area divided by a desk with sliding glass for privacy The breakfast, which is free, wasn’t all that great It was cold (turkey and pork sausage, eggs, fried potatoes) The waffle mix was really thin The oatmeal was hot The breakfast attendant was very friendly Both shuttle drivers (from the airport and back to the airport) were friendly

Dabe James

I stopped in here to grab a late night cocktail and a bite to eat while waiting for a client to finish their presentation I stopped at the restaurant and the bartender that was there(I have forgotten her name) Was a huge basketball fan and an excellent bartender Friendly attentive as well as the staff that I encountered

The food was good and it was one of the few places that was open late night It’s definitely worth stopping in

We have stayed at SpringHill LaGuardia countless times in the past & always had great experiences  Unfortunately, this time was not so great  We were there for my mom funeral & was hoping to get a decent night(s) sleep after driving 10hr

We have always felt comfortable at the hotel but after a long drive and mom’s viewing that night, we return to get some rest when we finally lay in bed sadly, we found out late that night both beds Squeaked Horribly Loud!  Every time someone turned in bed it was loud noises, so it was very difficult to get any rest  The kids often got up and sat up in bed because they couldn’t get any rest  Secondly, there was a Horrible Red stain on one side of the bed, between the nightstand and bed  It almost looked like blood and looks like it was traced/tracked throughout the room towards the door, it did creeped us out, I had to take a pillow and cover the large stain by the bed so the kids don’t freak out  But at that point we were too exhausted to request another room etc because we had already unpacked and sanitized the room for our stay  Also the shower curtain did not reach the base of the shower, so water constantly poured out and puddle in the bathroom, every time we took a shower and the fan did not work in the bathroom There was no lighting by the front door or mirror closet, so it was difficult with dressing, we even moved the lamp over yet it did not make a difference  On the day of the funeral our vehicle was blocked in where they park the shuttle and we asked the person if they can move up so we can get out, so we are not late for the funeral, the person was about to move up but the Valet told him not to and then proceeded to argue with my husband  We kept telling him we are running late for a funeral and he said, you just have to wait and refuse to help  This was so ruthless! As you can imagine, this was/is a very sad and stressful time for us and all of this really added to it  This has always been our go to hotel and we often recommend several friends/family  But we were every disappointed in the stay, but we choose to not say anything because my mom funeral was more important We have to return in the future for my mom’s final Spreading of the Ash Service and we are not sure how we feel about staying here after this experience  We did mentioned at checkout about our experience, we were told that they will the Management know about all the issues we experienced Unfortunately, no one followed up with us

I enjoyed my stay at the Ramada Linda at the front desk was professional, helpful and polite Checking in was fast and easy

The room was clean and cozy There was free breakfast provided and also a fitness center downstairs The fitness center wasn’t big but it was great for those who want to workout during their stay The staff at the front desk are helpful and polite Bakeries and restaurants were within walking distance Affordable price Highly recommend!

Cindy Davis

This was so nice upscale hotel Best price! The staff was exceptionally super nice The management greeted us his name is Kai, not sure if I’m spelling correctly but he went above and beyond

One of the girls ran out to help us get out of the parking space in front and direct traffic for us So nice! It’s in a great location Short walk to subway

Tiffany Mina

Enjoyed our stay at the Ramada Kai greeted us with a warm welcome upon arriving and ensured that he greeted me by name in the days to follow We were given a free continental breakfast that included coffee, muffins, toast, sausage, Eggs, and more

For the price, the room was nice and clean The only issue that I had was that we were not able to control the temperature in our room and it got pretty cold one night The subway station is less than a half mile away and we were able to ride the train to Time Square, which took about an hour…less the New York traffic

Enjoyed out stay The staff were all very friendly, quick to greet, and accommodating The breakfast was great! Really enjoyed the breakfast sandwich, orange juice, and coffee

We were so close to everything we needed and Times Square to boot Fantastic location for sightseeing NYC The room was clean and comfortable, nice sheets, down pillows The bathroom was surprisingly spacious and quite luxurious There was convenient parking right across the street I will definitely look to stay here again

Stayed here for a week in the deluxe queen room Definitely not a 4 star hotel!Pros: The basic stuff, Friendly staff, clean rooms , clean sheets and linen Location is fantastic

Cons: very expensive to what you get Room is small and kind of crammed, bathroom as well Not so much room for two people Grab and Go breakfast from 7-11 am, not really We were there by 10am and there was nothing except for oatmeal and black coffee So technically you are just paying for the room We had to get a decent breakfast every morning at nearby restaurantsOverall experience is good but not as expected or paid for

Kye Walton

Amazing location, great staff, and overall really good Tiny rooms but that should be expected Only thing that was very very disappointing was the breakfast

They were supposed to be egg and cheese sandwiches, but in reality they were onion sandwiches with a little bit of egg and a little bit of cheese However, the hotel is super close to the Red Flame Diner which was absolutely exceptional, and that’s where we ended up getting breakfast

As someone who lives in the city some of the reviews are a bit over the top and exaggerated Yes it’s a bit iffy but nothing out of the normBed was very comfy, staff were great, breakfast was pretty good, fitness center was surprisingly good just wish they had a barbell outside of that actually really great stay definitely don’t mind coming back here again

Check in and check out was quick and everything was quite Some of the furniture were a bit rough and a bit stained but overall 8/10

Goutham Ganesh

Stayed for a week here and had a great time!Breakfast included If you are lucky you could get a room with a beautiful view of the Queensboro bridge

If you want to park your car you may have to book it in advance as it gets sold out pretty quick and also very few parking spaces are available Also the parking space is a bit congested so if you are bringing an SUV just be careful!

Good place to stay in Queens if you are trying to save some bucks for your budget friendly trip Room was between ‘Okayish’ and ‘Good’ Had a tough time with the shower curtain in the bathroom as it didn’t help to keep the water from splashing outside

This place has parking lot for a nightly charge of $25 and it wasn’t that comfortable to park our car

Pros:- Great location- Outstanding customer service I have never been to a hotel that had this kind of friendly service, and they should be applauded- Gym was excellent- The blackout curtains were terrific and helped with the sleep- I had to move things around for my sanity, and the maids didn’t put them back, which was a massive thing for me (see comment below about space) It helped coming back from a long day exploring and not having to reconfigure things, and it made it feel like I had my own space to call homeCons:- We knew the room would be small but didn’t mind since we were out a lot

However, there wasn’t much storage to place our belongings for a week, and our washroom was also pretty tight to move around with two people Being able to move things around helped- There isn’t really a business centre easily accessible I had to hop on a Zoom meeting, and my partner was napping, so I thought I would explore and found a computer in the hall by the gym Unfortunately, it wasn’t great for privacy and a quiet place with lounge music in the background- We couldn’t believe the amount of noise in the morning! We’re usually out late, so we sleep in before heading back out From 8/9 am – to 1 pm, it sounded like a field trip of cleaners walking by our room with vacuums, a group discussing everything under the sun while banging the walls with whatever objects they had This team did an excellent job cleaning, but holy smokes, the noise was real and I woke up a lot

I love the hotel Great location Jessie and Ernst are without a doubt the gems of the hotel!I wish there was water available and a microwave or fridge in the room

Our room had a few issues with a wet dog smell that was quickly taken care of and an automatic door that was hard to close but overall it was great 4/5 stars

This is the place to stay! This place has the perfect location, perfect customer service and nice rooms (for NYC) We had a 3 night stay and I honestly have no complaints If you’re visiting NYC for the first time and would like a central location to move around the city with ease this is the place

It was my birthday and they were kind enough to leave a wine bottle, which is such a generous touch For 2 people, the room is comfortable so if you have a larger group I suggest a larger room than a king sized roomThe doormen were so kind, even offering us places to go eat The staff incredible I asked for towels and got them in seconds This place is amazing I can talk about it foreverWith a 5 minute walk to grand central you can go anywhere from this placeQuite honestly the only thing I wish the room had was a coat rack, lolThis is the place I will, without a doubt, stay at every time I’m in the city

My second time staying there in the past month This spot has so much potential but they do not clean the rooms properly First time there was toe nail clippings on the floor, second time there was hair in the bathroom

They promptly came and cleaned when asked the first time but this should not happen! Second time, it was such a short stay, I didn’t have the time or energy to complain

He went above and beyond and curiously do seem to enjoy his job Hum A rarity these days I must say Breakfast was much better than expected Had all the usual and more Located in a quiet family neighborhood but close enough to the actionGood place, good food and better people What else is there to say

A funeral led to my family and I staying at this hotel The staff went out of their way to accommodate us on this last minute over night trip They allowed us to check in extra early and held our bags while we attended the service

Coffee and hot drinks in the lobby was a nice touch especially as it was cold and rainy A very tough weekend was made a little better by the care and empathy shown Thank you

After multiple hours of hotel shopping, I came across this little gem Reasonable prices, efficient room size The room was small but arranged in a non-tight way

Felt like we had plenty of room Nice little touches like folding the toilet paper, and packaging of items The breakfast was hot, reasonable tasting, decent We live in a very quiet Street in a small town, we did get a street side room Little hard to sleep if you’re not used to Street sounds, would get an interior room next time Parking was very reasonable $20 however they told me it was for a 24-hour period, the next morning they told me it was only until 3:00 pm spoke to the manager and he allowed me to stay until 7:00 without an extra fee About two blocks from the subway All the staff was very nice and professional I would definitely stay there again Forgot my water bottle in the room after we checked out, manager was going to send it back to us at no charge 😊

I stayed at the LIC Hotel for two nights I am absolutely 100% satisfied with my stayMy room was very clean, small but adequately sized, had a mini fridge, good sized television and a clean bathroom

It was by no means fancy or luxurious, but I absolutely felt I got what I paid for and the quality of the accomodations even exceeded my expectations If you’re like me, you like to spend less on lodging so you can spend more on other attractions in the city All you need is a clean place to sleep and bathe, right? The staff were very pleasant and helpful The check in and check out process was a breeze The complimentary breakfast was icing on the cake It added value and was much appreciatedThe location is excellent I could walk from the hotel to the Court Sq subway station in 3 minutes tops to board the E train to Manhattan This is also a big plus as I felt very safe returning late at night since the walk was so shortThe rooftop access provides nice views of the Manhattan skyline Was not expecting this great perk from a budget hotel and was impressed for sureThe next time I am in NYC the LIC Hotel will likely receive my business again If you’re looking for a great budget hotel that packs a great value for your money, the LIC Hotel is a perfect choice

I’ve stayed here twice and will stay again It’s a great location to walk down to the Hunter’s Point Ferry to catch to Manhattan The rooms have been very clean and the breakfast has been good

Nothing flashy, but I’m always satisfiedThe roof doesn’t seem to be used much and is pretty private Also I have not been bothered by any noise I’ve arrived late at night and the area feels safe I even see young women jogging at night, which is a good sign that locals probably also feel safe
